Rend Lake by AmberSky
I composed and played the classical guitar music in this video to go with photographs and videos I took in the Rend Lake area of southern Illinois. The pictures and videos are of Rend Lake, the Rend Lake Visitor’s Center, Rend Lake Cabins in the Woods, and of other sights and sounds you will find while visiting this spectacular area of Illinois.
Rend Lake is located in southern Illinois and has been designated as an important bird area of Illinois. Rend Lake was created when the United States Army Corps of Engineers dammed the big muddy river. The lake became completely filled with water in March of 1973. The lake is around 18,900 acres of water and has 20,000 acres of land. Part of the grounds around the lake is the “Wayne Fitzgerrel State Park and Recreational Center. Some of the activities you can partake in are camping, boating, swimming, archery, hunting, walking beautiful nature trails, golf, artisan shops, viewing wildlife, fishing, and much more. The Rend Lake Visitor’s Center is rich in history and is maintained by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. This year marks the celebration of Rend Lake’s 50th anniversary. Rend Lake is the perfect place to visit for people who are looking for a calming and peaceful experience while surrounded by natural beauty.

Guárdame Las Vacas was composed during the 16th century by accomplished Spanish vihuelist and composter Luis de Narváez's (ca. 1500-d. 1555). Narváez was born in Granada, Spain. This is my take on the excellent guitar arrangement of Guárdame Las Vacas by La Tablatura. I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash (Lyrics)
I can see clearly now, the rain is gone; I can see all obstacles in my way; Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind; It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright); Sun-shiny day; It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright); Sun-shiny day
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone; All of the bad feelings have disappeared; Here is the rainbow I've been prayin' for;
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright) Sun-shiny day; Look all around, there's nothin' but blue skies; Look straight ahead, nothin' but blue skies; I can see clearly now, the rain is gone;
I can see all obstacles in my way; Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind;
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright); Sun-shiny day
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright); Sun-shiny day
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright); Sun-shiny day
It's gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright); Sun-shiny day

Simple Man Lyrics
Mama told me, When I was young, "Come sit beside me, my only son,
And listen closely, To what I say. And if you do this, it'll help you some sunny day, oh, yeah. "Oh, take your time, Don't live too fast. Troubles will come, And they will pass. Go find a woman, And you'll find love. And don't forget, son, there is someone up above. "And be a simple kind of man. Oh, be somethin' you love and understand. Baby, be a simple kind of man. Oh, won't you do this for me son, if you can? "Forget your lust
For the rich man's gold. All that you need Is in your soul.
And you can do this If you try. All that I want for you my son, is to be satisfied.
"And be a simple kind of man. Oh, be somethin' you love and understand. Baby, be a simple kind of man. Oh, won't you do this for me son, if you can?"
(Oh, yes I will.) "Boy, don't you worry, You'll find yourself. Follow your heart, And nothing else. And you can do this, oh babe, if you try. All that I want for you my son, is to be satisfied. "And be a simple kind of man. Oh, be somethin' you love and understand.
Baby, be a simple kind of man. Oh, won't you do this for me son, if you can? "Baby, be a simple, be a simple man. Oh, be somethin' you love and understand. Baby, be a simple kind of man."

Linger by The Cranberries (AmberSky Guitar Cover)
This is my version of Fabio Lima’s classical guitar arrangement of “Linger” by The Cranberries. The Cranberries was an Irish rock band from Limerick, Ireland, that formed in 1989. The Cranberries got Dolores O’Riordan as its singer in 1990. Dolores was an extremely talented & creative singer who played guitar.
This classical guitar cover sounds much different than my usual video postings. I played and recorded this version of “Linger” using an GK amp with the microphone on the 4-speaker cabinet.
I took the pictures in this video at the St. Louis Union Station hotel. There is an amazing 3D light show on the hour from 5P-10P in the Grand Hall lobby of the St. Louis Union Station hotel. The light show is projected onto the Grand Hall’s 65-foot ceiling. You can find lots to do in and around this hotel.
St. Louis Union Station is a National Historic Landmark train station in St. Louis, Missouri, that has been converted into a magnificent hotel. The train station initially opened in 1894 as the largest train station in the world. All tracks and passenger service areas were on one level. Traffic peaked at 100,000 people a day. The last Amtrak passenger train left the station in 1978.

Medieval & Renaissance Spanish Themes – Part 1 (AmberSky Classical Guitar)
This is my instrumental rendition of ‘Medieval & Renaissance Spanish Themes’ as arranged by “La Tablatura.” This Medieval/Renaissance Spanish theme has five pieces of music. Three from the Medieval era of music (500s-1400s) and then two from the Renaissance era of music (1400s-1600s).
In this video, I play the first three pieces that are approx. one minute each. Alfonso X composed this Medieval music. He was the king of Castile, León and Galicia from 1252 to 1284. Alfonso X commissioned or co-authored many works of music during his reign as king.
The pictures in this video are of Lead, South Dakota. Lead was founded in 1876 and is located in the Northern Black Hills of South Dakota. The Homestake “Gold” Mining Company employed thousands of people while it operated in Lead, SD. In 1910 Lead's population was around 8,392 and now it is around 3,124. The Homestake mine located in Lead was the largest and deepest gold producing mine in the Western Hemisphere. The Homestake gold mine closed in 2002.

Hallelujah
Leonard Cohen
Now, I've heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah,Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
She tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
You say I took the name in vain
I don't even know the name
But if I did, well really, what's it to you?
There's a blaze of light in every word
It doesn't matter which you heard
The holy or the broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
I did my best, it wasn't much
I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool you
And even though it all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah,Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah,Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah,Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Shallow lyrics from “A Star is Born”
[Verse 1]
Tell me somethin' girl, Are you happy in this modern world?, Or do you need more,
Is there somethin' else you're searchin' for?
[Refrain]
I'm fallin', In all the good times, I find myself longing for change, And in the bad times I fear myself
[Verse 2]
Tell me something boy, Aren't you tired tryin' to fill that void?, Or do you need more, Ain't it hard keepin' it so hardcore?
[Refrain]
I'm falling, In all the good times, I find myself longing for change, And in the bad times I fear myself
[Chorus]
I'm off the deep end, Watch as I dive in, I'll never meet the ground, Crash through the surface, Where they can't hurt us, We're far from the shallow now
[Post-Chorus]
In the sha-ha-sha-ha-ha-low, In the sha-sha-la-la-low, In the sha-ha-sha-ha-ha-low, We're far from the shallow now
[Bridge]
Ooooo aahaaa ooou (s), Ooo ouo oooo haaaa (s)
[Chorus]
I'm off the deep end, Watch as I dive in, I'll never meet the ground, Crash through the surface, Where they can't hurt us, We're far from the shallow now
[Post-Chorus]
In the sha-ha-sha-ha-low
In the sha-sha-la-la-low
In the sha-ha-sha-ha-ha-low

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) - Lyrics
Eurythmics
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
Hold your head up, keep your head up, movin' on
Hold your head up, movin' on, keep your head up, movin' on
Hold your head up, movin' on, keep your head up, movin' on
Hold your head up, movin' on, keep your head up
Some of them want to use you
Some of them want to get used by you
Some of them want to abuse you
Some of them want to be abused
Sweet dreams are made of this
Who am I to disagree?
I travel the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something

Lyrics to the live version of Landslide:
I took my love, I took it down.
I climbed a mountain and I turned around.
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
'Til the landslide brought me down.
Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changin' ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
Well, I've been afraid of changin'.
'Cause I've built my life around you.
But time makes you bolder,
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too.
Well, I've been afraid of changin'.
'Cause I've built my life around you.
But time makes you bolder,
Even children get older
And I'm getting older too.
Oh! I'm getting older too.
Oooh, take my love, take it down
Ooh, Climb a mountain and you turn around.
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills,
Well the landslide bring it down.
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills,
Well the landslide bring it down,
The landslide bring it down

Canon in C by Johann Pachelbel (fingerstyle guitar cover/original photos)
Canon in C by Johann Pachelbel is a popular classical piece of music that Pachelbel composed in the Key of D. The guitar arrangement I am playing is played in the key of C, which is an easier version than the popularly played and known version of Canon in D. I have always loved this Pachelbel music and am glad I finally was able to learn and put my twist on it. I got this arrangement of “Canon in C” on the YouTube channel “Free Guitar Tabs.”
Johann Pachelbel (b.1653-d.1706) was a legendary German composer, organist, keyboardist, and teacher. Pachelbel taught organ in southern Germany. He was one of the most influential composers during the Baroque era of music (1600 to 1750).
