Morning Ridgeback Exercise 2_10_2021 Part 2 time lapse
The second part I decided to try some time lapse video that condensed 12 minutes of video into 25 seconds, both are cool to view, I hope you enjoy them. Or if you’re into hearing birds chirp, they are my background sound today in part 1, all natural.

Morning Ridgeback Exercise 2_10_2021 Part 1
I don’t always record our walks but we do them nearly every day because a tired Ridgeback is a good Ridgeback. The first part of our walk is typical video showing them running, jumping; and playing while I snowshoe. The second part I decided to try some time lapse video that condensed 12 minutes of video into 25 seconds, both are cool to view, I hope you enjoy them. Or if you’re into hearing birds chirp, they are my background sound today in part 1, all natural.

115 Year old Monarch Lathe 9_15_2019
I picked this Monarch Lathe up last year I didn't know much about it when I bought it, and it wasn't even wired up to run. My best friend Steve who went to Rochester Institute of Technology for Electrical Engineering did the wiring of the motor for single phase and did most of the cleaning to this machine. While he was doing the cleaning I was researching the history and found the Patent that gave most of the information I needed. I was surprised to learn it was built in Sidney, Ohio and is the lathe all other change gear lathes were designed from I had to replace the 4 jaw chuck and buy some other cutting tools from that era. Then I went about setting it up and finding the run out. I wish I would have gone to school to be a machinist but I started in college at Penn State Behrend for Mechanical Engineering Technology. Its my first lathe so I'm still learning.

Tail of the Dragon U.S. 129 8_22_2017
I learned of this stretch of highway when my GPS routed me this way to Murphy North Carolina from Cades Cove Tennessee, Smokey Mountain National Park when I was going to photograph the Solar Eclipse in August of 2017. On my return trip I mounted 1 of my 3 GoPro cameras to the hood of my 2001 Chevy Silverado LS 8.1 2500HD 496 Big Block with Allison Transmission. This is the only dry road in the United States that has ever made me white knuckled; it took me 3x across it to lose that feeling. In an 11 mile stretch drivers encounter 318 banked curves a few hundred feet above a reservoir between the States of Tennessee and North Carolina.

McConnell's Mill State Park 2_6_2021 Part 4
Mostly driving to different sites associated with McConnell's Mill State Park, today's cold temperature, ice, wind, and crowds made finding parking harder than usual. This gorge contains Slippery Rock Creek, during the last ice age during the Pleistocene Epoch the glacier that covered this area its theorized through evidence in the rock and strata that there was a glacial lake contained by glacial basin and when wall broke it released a torrential amount of water very rapidly carving this section of what is now this gorge from South to North actually flowing in reverse of what the water travels today. Then when the glacier melted and retreated to the North the water flowed from North to South further eroding Slippery Rock Gorge and creating this steep creek loved by kayakers, white water canoers, and climbers from rocks to ice. This is a nature lover’s paradise with areas of danger and history.

McConnell's Mill State Park 2_6_2021 Part 8
Some hiking at Hell's Hollow with my dogs, I'm speaking to Thunder most of the time because he's still learning, he's 1 year 4 months. Sam my older dog is about 8. I'm not exactly sure of his birth date I just know he had a lot of growing to do when I got him from the Humane Society in Pittsburgh. My Bella, my first Ridgeback was a few months over 2 when I got Sam and Sam was 4 inches shorter than her in height, now he's 5 inches taller.

Tried to get down to Breakneck & Eckert Bridges but the 'No Winter Maintenance' and lots of ice stopped me, I need to get a winch on this truck yet. I did lend a hand to a stranded driver and got them pulled out of the ditch.

Thunder & Sticks 2_4_2021
While out for our walk Thunder took interest in a branch on a cherry tree and then he found another bigger one buried in the snow and I'm egging him on to dig it up and run with it.
