The convoy was sort of a disappointment. Immigrant California drivers and heavy traffic kept the trucks so scattered you couldn't really tell it was a convoy. The closer we got to 'Clown Town,' the more scattered they became. C. W. They must have found something interesting. This is a bigger operation than the casual rockhound. There are 4 or 5 pick-up trucks, tents and awnings and a dragline digging a big pit. They could just be after geodes or agate but they may have struck a quartz vein.

I planted my foot on a rocky downhill, twisted my leg and broke it. With a high pain threshold, I didn't know and stabbed for my rear brake several times and didn't find it because my foot was in the wrong place. After I tipped over, I realized my leg was broken and I laid out there 3 1/2 hours before being rescued by rockhounds.

No sweat, throw in the right leg, plop it while making sure the hat clears, pull in the size 12 left boot, reposition, shut the door, get strapped in, ignite, launch. Sometimes I knock off the hat and that left boot can be a problem

After these rockhounds found me, They managed to get me loaded in the back of their truck and hauled me out to the farm and my brother took me to the hospital.

We were unable to cross Succor Creek West of Graveyard Point due to fast high water. We had to take Antelope Springs Road to the State Park to cross at the bridge. I started the video at the viewpoint halfway up Antelope Springs Road.

I was at the 2022 Oreana 100 race and struck up a conversation with a young lady, Madi Taylor. I thought I recognized her name from a finishers list but it seemed I knew her previously from somewhere. It took a while for me to remember. I had been shopping for a 300XC and Carl's Cycle Sales didn't have the model I wanted but while I was there, Madi tried to help me select an aftermarket wheel for my Honda Pioneer 1000. I did eventually buy that wheel but from a different source. Thanks Madi. ;-) Hey Madi, you know the movie "On Any Sunday?" I am that vintage but I go farther back to motorcycle brands you never heard of. They all had steel fenders.
