DJI Mavic Mini 1 warped blade solution - revive the classic Mini, hopefully a fix
I had managed to hang on to my Mini and keep it flying for over two years. Lately though the controller has been warning me the propellors are at turning too fast and the motors are at max power. If that wasn't enough I started getting a payload warning (the Mimi had no payload) and it would be all I could do to to keep it from landing in a tree or bush. But there's more. One day the DJI Fly app started acting up so I deleted it before trying to download a fresh version from the play store.
Surprise, surprise, surprise, the app was not offered on the play store any more.
So it looked like the garbage bin for Ol Mini.
Fortunately I came across a YouTube video by "walking in all weather" He proposed the blades were being warped by the inside shape of the Fly More case. He suggested the blades flop around and become wedged between the bottom to the mini and a "hump" in the bottom of the case.
Well here is a video I made the solves the problem of the blades rotating our of position.
I just cut a thin strip of shrink wrap and slid it over the blades. Now I can store it properly without damaging those paper thin blades. Hope this works for you too

Fauquier, BC, Canada. Arrow Lake

Music - Sugar Pines by Wes Hutchinson
"The little village of Fauquier resides on Lower Arrow Lake, on the eastern side of the Needles Ferry terminal. Another free highway ferry crosses Upper Arrow Lake at Shelter Bay/Galena Bay (Highway 23).
Upper Arrow Lake and Lower Arrow Lake are widened portions of the Columbia River as it wends its way south to the US border. The Arrow Lakes are situated between the Selkirk Mountains to the east and the Monashee Mountains to the west. The lake shores feature rocky headlands and steep cliffs, with mountain sides that are heavily forested and rise sharply to elevations around 2,600 metres.
The present townsite didn’t exist until the 1960s, but it is evident that some of the houses are older than that, as many people moved their homes to Fauquier, off land to be flooded when BC Hydro dammed the lake. If you’re struggling with pronouncing the name, try “folkier” – easier to say and easy to remember.
The village is home to about 300 people, with most of the services that travelers might require."

The farming community of about 200 saw their post office, general store, and school either moved or disapear as the dams resevoir slowly filled in the 1968. All the remains of Needles is its cemetery.
Needles ferry capacity is 40 vehicles and 135 passengers.

Our Search for the Legendary Ogopogo in BCs Okanagan lake has ended in disaster.
The ROV Gladius Mini S being used was very badly damaged.
In the summer of 2022 while on our second expedition, a passing motor craft snagged the ROVs tether cable, destroying it and the control unit.
The operator suffered minor injuries from the fast moving cable whipping past his legs and the controller being pulled from his hands.
