It is said that the killers were apart of Guerrero's Unidos a ruthless cartel who were implicated in the case of the 43 missing students in Iguala. Although the video series was not given a name at first, it was eventually named "1 Bi**h 9 Pups" by Dredderf. The suspect behind the footage series is an unidentified 51-year-old Australian man who is believed to have tortured, mutilated, raped, and killed between 20 to 25 dogs within the span of several years. On the night of Monday, May 9, after undergoing four surgeries, Oliver Sánchez Coria, alleged leader of the Guardia Guerrerense criminal organization, died in a hospital in Chilpancingo, Guerrero.
