Kennedy once said, if the Problems we face are inherently Human in Origin, then it means that WE can UNDO these Problems, and that goes for the Ego as well… Tonight’s show will see us Explain precisely WHEN the Ego first was Manifested Within us, how the Ego Rose in Power, how it Controls us Powerfully from a Hidden Location, and the Steps that we must take to remove its Power within us, eventually causing the Construct of the Ego to recede and then disappear…however, this must be made clear, there is NO Magical Spell or Charm to eliminate the Ego for Eternity; the Potential for the Ego to return will always be there, thus, we Must continue to DO THE WORK to Stay Upon the Strait and Narrow Path to God, in Christ’s Image, or the Ego will continue to return and seize control of us, time and again… And this is why the BATTLE for our own Minds is entirely Biblical, because it is the SAME story as with Cain and Abel…Cain represents the Fallen, Thinking, Left Brain, constantly in Motion creating endless Plans of Action, that give Rise to Fear and Doubt, allowing the Ego to Manifest itself within us; while Abel represents our Risen Right Brain of Stillness and Silence, where we await INSPIRATION from God, rendering the Construct of the Ego USELESS, and thus, Banished from our Inner Kingdom… At our most Basic Elemental Core, it all comes down to the Vibrations of Love or Fear…when we Trust in God, and never Fear for anyone or anything, then we Manifest and Maintain the Vibration of Love, which causes Peace of Mind; however, when we are Godless, and possess no Faith in God at all, then we constantly succumb to Worry and Doubt, which lead us to do Selfish and often Violent things in the name of Self-Preservation, where the Self is your Shadow, or Ego…and once we have Chosen Poorly, with Terrible consequences that cannot be Undone, then the EGO kicks in to PROTECT the Shadow Self, by BLAMING OTHERS for the Choices we have made…and the Ego does this to AVOID Guilt and Shame at all Costs, as Guilt and Shame force the EGO to LOOK at itself in the MIRROR, which it simply CANNOT do, or it would Cease to Exist… Thus, the Human constructed Ego, Hidden within the Conclave of the Left Brain, MUST Blame EVERYTHING that happens to us (Smeagol and Gollum) on SOMEONE ELSE, which is DEFLECTION because it cannot exist within its own REFLECTION…therefore, by Taking Responsibility for our Actions, where we utter Mia Culpa for the Wrong Actions that we take, we are giving the Ego a Death Blow, because the Ego cannot stand the LIGHT of Personal Reflection with the Mirror of the Mind… So, Take a Deep Breathe, and Join us LIVE tonight and get Ready for a Magical Ride thru the Human Mind…See You Soon! Here it is, another BRILLIANT Song from Bruce Springsteen that Decodes one of the Bible's most Important of Parables, the Story of Jacob...Crossing the River alone, Meeting God Face-to-Face in a place called Pineal, and having his Life Preserved, so that he could enter into the Promised Land, flowing with Milk and Honey... Seven Deadly Sins is one of the Key Tracks to Bryan Ferry's, Bete Noire, album...Bete Noire is a French and Latin expression for the Black Beast that you Must Avoid, which is a Powerful Allegory for the Human Ego... And throughout this Brilliant Song (that encourages us to look Within ourselves) what Bryan Ferry is Teaching us that the Lethal World of the Seven Deadly Sins comes into being when we refuse the Truth, and Live rather in an endless series of Lies...and Lies are the Most Egregious Sins, as Lies lead us into Temptation, and do NOT Deliver us from Evil; and, these Sinful Acts are very difficult to Forgive or to Forget. Because SIN produces GUILT and SHAME, which are our own Torture Mechanisms, designed to keep us away from Sinful Lives...and Guilt and Shame are what Create (thru the Hands of Man, and NOT from God), the Human EGO, and when in Ego, this is where we begin that Descent into Losing our Minds... 'So you think you can tell, Heaven from Hell, Blue Skies from Pain? Do you think you can tell? Did they get you to trade your Heroes for Ghosts? Do you think you can tell? Who are these People is a Stunning achievement by the Genius Songwriter, known as Burt Bacharach...the song was an Eruption of Frustration and Anger against a System that was NEVER going to correct itself, rather just continue to drive America and the World into the Gutter, which is right where the Cabal wanted it... Burt Bacharach has written some of the Finest, most Beautiful Songs ever recorded, and yet this album, At This Time, released in 2005, was a complete departure for the ever Cool and Refined Bacharach, for a Cutting Edge album that ATTACKED the concept of 'Government' all across this Earth, and clearly revealed the Great Conspiracy of the Canaanites to Take Over this Earth for themselves, driving All Men and Wombmen and Children to a sudden and disastrous end based upon Endless INSANE policies that were never going to get better, only worse...Bacharach reached out to Tonio K. to be his Lyricist on this album, and his lyrics Perfectly matched Bacharach's Mood of Frustration and Anger, as Song after Song, called out this Earth-wide Madness, and revealed a Systematic Plan for a small, Hidden group of Monsters to take over this World...this album ranks as one of my all time favorites and is near par to one of the finest albums ever created, the Partnership Creation of Painted From Memory by Bacharach and Elvis Costello... And on this Track, Who are these People, Costello sings the Lead Vocals for the last half of the song, adding in his now famous line, 'See things have really got to Change or we're all FUCKED...' As I have said before, Who are these People? was the PERFECT Song to hit the airwaves in 2005, as when the Well Respected Burt Bacharach created an Album like this, then it was incumbent upon everyone to take a second look at just how Dark the World had truly become... If there was ever a Modern Grassroots Americana Album, Of the People, By the People and For the People, in the Tradition of Woody Guthrie and say, Bruce Springsteen, then it was REM's, Automatic for the People... Two Sides, Six Songs per Side for a Total of 12 Gems that eerily Captured the Gruesome state of affairs that America had become by the early Nineties, but what is most fascinating of all, is that these songs DEFINE the State of America in 2023, almost as if the Band's lyricist, Singer, Michael Stipe, had been given our Landscape of today, de facto, back in 1991... The album's Musical and Lyrical theme was overtly Thoughtful and Melancholy, that would burst forth at times with either Calculated Frustration and Anger, or Breathtaking Innocence and Hope...and what was made so very clear within the lyrics of Michael Stipe was that while Everything in America had become massively Fucked Up and turned Upside Down, that there was Legitimate Hope for Americans and America, but not just yet...soon, but not yet... The entire album, in the traditions of both Woody Guthrie and Bruce Springsteen, powerfully spoke the Truth, without any attempts to diffuse the Pain and Suffering that went along with all of the Lies...songs like Everybody Hurts, Monty Got a Raw Deal, Man on the Moon, and this Song, Ignoreland, RIPPED the Illusion that America was some kind of Iconic Nation of Freedom, revealing in its place a broken down vessel of once Awesome Grandeur and Character, that had been levelled into Parking Garages and Cesspools of Broken Emotions... Still think that Bruce Springsteen didn't write Endless, Brilliant Songs decoding the Allegories and Parables of the Bible??? Here is one of his most obvious and best...Adam RAISED a Cain, (from his 1978 album, Darkness on the Edge of Town, one of the Best Albums ever created) means that ALL Children are Born into this World thru both Father Heaven and Mother Earth from the Womb of an Earthly Wombman, are Born in Divinity and Grace, and are NOT Evil, regardless of what may have occurred in past Lives...Karma CANNOT be 'Carried Forward' past the experience of Death, as there would NEVER be a possibility for any of us Fallen Souls to ever RAISE ourselves once more...we would simply become SLAVES to the Great Wheel of the Samsara, forevermore...and this is NOT God's Purpose for us... This Brilliant Allegorical Song comes from Abba's 2nd Album, by the same name, and it shows us, clearly, how Abba spent their entire Careers Teaching us about God and His Kingdom, and how so many of the most Popular Songs of All Time, Loved by the Many for years and years, known by them, Word for Word, are in actuality Inspired Teachings that lead us to God... As I have discussed with you before, Bruce Springsteen has spent his Brilliant Career writing Allegorical Songs that are most often taken directly from the Bible, in particular, the Parables of Jesus Christ, and this Stunningly Haunting and Beautiful Track is one such example... Meeting Across the River is loosely based upon the Journey of Jacob, in Genesis of the Old Testament, whereby Jacob left all of his Earthly possessions behind, and crossed the River of his MIND, the Horizontal Divide of the Brain's Cerebrum, and entered into the Right Hemisphere of his Brain, God's Kingdom on Earth, after he Wrestled with his own EGO for a Day...it was then that an Angel of God came to Jacob and asked him if he would stop, and Jacob refused, stating that he would not stop until he had found God... The Angel then asked for Jacob's Name, and upon hearing it, the Angel said, that is too poor a name for thee, I shall call you IS - RA - EL and you shall be gifted the Promised Land, flowing with Milk and Honey...and it was then that Jacob entered into Peniel, PINEAL GLAND, and met God Face-to-Face, and Jacob's Life was PRESERVED, as the Pineal Gland Sacredly Secretes the Life Giving, Melatonin, where Mela in Latin means the Sweetness of Honey, and Tonin is TONE... Thus, Jacob so ALIGNED his Frequency to that of God, that he was gifted Everlasting Life, should he choose to Follow the Path that is Strait and Narrow...and THIS is what is Allegorically and Loosely being said within the Parameters of this Earthly Story of Two Men, down on their Luck, trying to turn all of their LEAD into Silver and Gold; the Alchemical Tale of the Journey UP the Strait and Narrow Way to the RIGHT HAND side of God, as One with HIM, in Heaven Upon Earth... Eddie is the Protagonist's 'Shady' Friend, that could be best described as Loyal, but 'IFFY', and without explaining why, Springsteen makes it clear within the Song that 'Eddie' is going along for the Ride, as he is Finding them a Ride, and will not be separated from the Narrator...Eddie in Gematria = 27, and in case you were not aware of this, EGO in Gematria, is ALSO 27...Eddie is the Narrator's Ego, who HAS TO come along for the Ride, for he is the Creator of all the CHAOS in the Protagonist's Life...but, the Protagonist makes it very clear, that once the 'Job' is done, and he has 'Thrown that Money on the Bed', then HE is going to go out WALKING, ALONE, All One with God, while he reminisces that this MIRACLE all started with the words, 'Hey Eddie, can you catch us a Ride...' When we UNITE our Mind as ONE Instrument in Alignment to God, then Everything ALIGNS within our Lives, and we Leave the Chaos of the 'Out There' World, for the Stillness and Silence of the Inner Mind, which is God's Heaven Upon Earth...Thus, Meeting Across the River is Springsteen's adaptation of the One Story, Mankind's Journey as the Prodigal Son, back Home to God...as is the ENTIRE Born to Run Album, making it one of the Best and Most Heartfelt albums ever Created... And the Reason why Springsteen chooses to use a Single Trumpet throughout the Song, especially through the beginning and the end of the Song, is to Boldly Acknowledge that the Protagonist is a Messenger of God (that being Bruce Springsteen), and that the entire purpose of this Journey Across the River, to the Other Side, is to Find God, as if nothing else mattered...so, Hey Eddie (Ego), can you catch us a Ride??? From The Byrds Brilliant 4th album, Younger than Yesterday, comes a True Masterpiece, written by one of THE MOST Gifted Songwriters the world has ever known...the incredibly Unique and Different, David Crosby... As I wrote in the Video itself, David Crosby Crafted Songs that were Frequencies, Portals to Higher Dimensions, Gifts that if used properly, could propel us to enormous Heights, WITHIN ourselves, and Everybody's Been Burned is such a Song... I still remember the first time that I heard it, I was in Grade 11 in Victoria, BC, Canada, and I had recently received my UVIC Student ID card from an older friend of mine, Norm Parkes, the first card that Norm received from the University of Victoria, referred to him as Norm Pankes, instead of Parkes, and voila, I was the recipient of the mistaken card... This was clearly a gift to me from God, as this Card OPENED ENDLESS DOORWAYS for me that were essential for me to become who I am today...I was BORED and Frustrated with Prison, sorry, School, and I knew that I didn't want to be there, so, as I was an 'A' Student and ahead on all of my work, I began to skip classes, and began to Craft a Lifestyle for myself of Living in Book Stores, Record Stores, Stereo Equipment Stores and the UVIC Library... One day, I visited the Basement of the UVIC Library and discovered that they had an extensive record Library, and what was even better, was that they had an area where Students could listen to these Albums via Turntables that were located UNDER large Workspace areas, so all I had to do was plug in Headphones, and I could work at UVIC, listening to Music, instead of being at School... And it was here, in 1978/79 that I dove Headlong into the realm of Roll the Rock Music, and as I have shared with you before, in my lifetime, I have had around a Hundred Songs that just JOLTED me to my very core when I heard them, I relate this as being Struck by Lightning, because this is what it was Literally like for me, when these songs were first played to me... The First Song that did this to me in my Life was when I was very young, and it was David Bowie's, Space Oddity (and interestingly, years later, it would be Bowie's Ashes to Ashes that did it to me again, featuring, once more, the Major Tom character)... Then in 1977 it was Peter Frampton's, Do You Feel Like We Do and Steely Dan's, Josie...I was then that I became completely HOOKED into this Music, as it Opened Doors and Pathways within me towards Heaven, and Began my Lifelong Quest to Find God, no matter what the Price... And then in the UVIC Library, I discovered The Byrds and David Crosby...and when I played the Younger than Yesterday album, which I loved, Everybody's Been Burned Before simply BLEW me away...the Rawness of the Song, both Musically and Lyrically, reached Deep Inside My Soul, and shook me, and to this Day, I am still emotionally connected to this Song; thus, as it is with ALL of these Songs on my List, I am PRIVILEGED to be ABEL to create Meaningful, Deeply Encoded Videos to these Brilliant Creations...for me, it is Paying Back to these Bands and Artists, in a small way, how much I appreciate their Alchemical, Artistic Creations AWAKENING ME towards Higher Ground...and to that end, I will continue to try to re-pay this debt of Kindness forward in the Hopes that Others will come to these songs, as I did, in FASCINATION, changing their Lives Forevermore... John Barleycorn Must Die was a Modern interpretation by Traffic, of the ancient Anglo-Saxon Folklore tune, John Barleycorn, in which Drummer and Lyricist, Jim Capaldi, created their version of this song into a Powerful Parable about Jesus Christ, and the Sovereignty of Mankind... In the Song, at the beginning, we are introduced to the Three Men who came out of the West (an allegory for Death) and who created such Violence and Greed throughout the rest of the Song at the expense of the Average Man's Crop, Barleycorn, Personified as John Barleycorn...and while John Barleycorn certainly is used to reference the Masses, it is also a Personification of the Life, Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ...and in doing so, Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood used the 3 Men who came out of the Deathly West to portray the Canaanites, those who are the 'Wicked Cabal' that have ruled over us, in Lies, Sex and Violence, since the Murder of Abel, by his brother Cain... As you listen to the Song, it will become evident that all of the Hands of Man that are hired to Reap and then Torture the Harvested Barleycorn Plant, just to reveal its SEED, are all Allegories for the Horrors inflicted upon not only, Christ our Lord, but to Mankind as well, as we have been TORTURED by these Demons for far too long...but notice how there is such Great Hope within this Song as well, as for no matter how Violent or Cruel the Canaanites were to Christ, or to us, WE, from the Spirit of Abel, thru Abraham, all the Way to Jesus Christ, cannot be stopped by Evil, only delayed, and in the end of this Song, or Journey, Little John Barleycorn, Ever Humble, Ever Useful in a wide variety of Ways, Proved the MIGHTIER than the Canaanites, or Masters of Death, as John Barleycorn represents the Spirit of both Life and the LIVING, which is us, Mankind... And in the End, we will Win out, as God always Wins, and Evil will always Fail, when we hold TRUE to whom we are, and allow our Eternal Spirit to Fight On for all time... And this is why, to the Three Men out of the West, or Death, that John Barleycorn Must Die, because they cannot Live with their Hatred and Envy for the LIFE and JOY that resides Deep Within Each One of us... So, let us Raise our Cups to Christ, and to His Spirit that Resides Powerfully INSIDE of each of us, the Chrism Oil, or Christ Consciousness, that will always come to Raise the Phoenix back Home to Heaven, once more... Roger McGuinn and The Byrds gave a Great rendition of the Ancient Christian Hymn, Give Me Oil in My Lamp, from their 1969 Album, The Ballad of Easy Rider...and the Byrds turned this Hymn into a Classic Rock song, that many bands would come to cover over time, especially LIVE... The Kinks have always been one of the Best and Most Important Bands in Roll the Rock Music, because of the Songwriting abilities of Ray Davies...Ray not only wrote great Songs, but his Lyrical content was Pure Truth, with Ray often focusing on Personal Truths that most didn't want to hear, such as Dealing with the Human Ego and Left Brain dominance... In this Brilliant Song, Destroyer, Davies sets out a character that we have ALL Known at times in our Life, it's a Self Destructing Man because he lives in FEAR; thus, he's not really living at all, rather he is only ever REACTING to what Life has to offer him, which is constant problems and endless moments where Left Brain Paranoia can reign Supreme, causing us to do countless insane things, all in the name of Paranoia, and believe me, if you allow to, it WILL DESTROY YOU...
