WATCH: U San Diego Students Hold Pro-Abortion Protest
Students for Life estimates that 75-100 students at the University of San Diego protested a Nov. 11 speech by Kristan Hawkins, the organization's president.
Hawkin’s speech, “The Future is Anti-Abortion,” focused on how pro-life activists should prepare for Roe v. Wade potentially being overturned.
Toreros for Life, the student group that invited Hawkins to USD, told Campus Reform in a statement that “the protestors were very disruptive” and that they could be heard in classes that were going on nearby.

Yikes: Here’s How Bad Kamala’s Approval Ratings Are
Campus Reform Spokeswoman Angela Morabito joined Mornings with Maria on Fox Business, where she points out Vice President Kamala Harris’ plummeting approval ratings. "It's sad, but it's not surprising at this point that [Vice President Kamala Harris] now has lower approval numbers than former Vice President Cheney after he shot someone. That's how serious this is."

How a Professor Challenged His University’s Vaccine Mandate and Won
Zywicki fought for a medical exemption to his employer’s vaccine mandate based on natural immunity.
Zywicki said potential students have reached out to him to say they are interested in attending the Antonin Scalia School of Law because they followed the story of his fight for a medical exemption.
He stated that his peers have been equally supportive.
"I have not gotten any gruff at all from any of my colleagues," he said, "except for those who are jealous that I have natural immunity already and they don’t!”

ASU REFUSES To Ban Rittenhouse From Future Enrollment | Ep.51
On this week’s edition of the Campus Countdown, Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson discusses Arizona State University’s decision to reject student demands and refusal to ban Kyle Rittenhouse from future enrollment at the school.
Jacobson also discussed an old school tradition at Stanford University that allows students to run across campus naked...as long as they’re wearing a mask. Jacobson pointed out that “we have gotten to the point in society where wearing no clothes is considered more acceptable than wearing no mask.”
Finally, Jacobson shares a video that was posted by Columbia University that encourages students to turn each other in for misgendering or using the wrong pronouns.
Watch the episode above for full coverage on all of these stories.

The Left Comes For Tik Tok's 'Digital Racism' | Ep.50
On this week’s episode of the Campus Countdown, Campus Reform Senior Correspondent Addison Pummill discusses one university that asks the question “is TikTok racist?”
Students at San Diego State University attended an event called “Your Costume, My Culture: TikTok Edition” to examine what the speakers called a new form of digital racism and cultural appropriation.
“The event followed the normal agenda of leftists this Holiday season, warning students not to dress as anything that could come across as racially or culturally insensitive,” says Pummill. “But the more interesting idea here is that TikTok itself is spreading racism.”
Also on this week’s episode, Pummill invites YCT treasurer Andrew Le to discuss a pro-life event he attended. Pro-choice activists crashed the event, screaming “F*** your God” and “I love sacrificing children.”
Pummill also discusses a study that proves grade inflation is leading to higher graduation rates.
The woke tweet of the week comes from a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign professor who wants to cancel words and phrases ranging from “data” to “cancel culture.”

What It's Like Being A Conservative In Todays College Environment
Ophelie Jacobson, a Campus Reform correspondent who has created several viral “man on the street videos,” sat down to share a behind-the-scenes look at how she approaches journalism as a student.
Jacobson, a junior at the University of Florida, has created viral “man on the street” videos in which she interviews students about their views on current events. Students have told her that they won’t support Team USA in the Olympics and that they think the term “Black Friday” is racist. Some have even said that Panda Express is guilty of cultural appropriation, even though the restaurant chain was started by Chinese immigrants.
She says that the videos on cancel culture have yielded the most surprising answers, but overall, Jacobson says she expects the far-left responses. “I sit next to these students in classrooms every single day, so I kind of anticipate what these students are going to say. And as outrageous as their responses may be, you know, this is the typical mind of a college student that I get to interact with every single day on campus.”
Jacobson has responded to the challenge of campus liberalism by connecting with like-minded peers. She serves as the president of the University of Florida’s Network of Enlightened Women chapter and says she seeks common ground with peers, even when they do not agree on politics. She says, “Being a conservative in college is no easy task and I knew that going in.”

Would Students Feel Comfortable Saying These Conservative Slogans On Campus?
On campuses across the country, many conservative students feel the need to hide their political views in order to avoid receiving backlash from their peers, and even some professors.
Campus Reform’s Logan Dubil interviewed students at the University of Pittsburgh about political discussions on their campus.
In the beginning of the interviews, most students agreed that there is a bias against conservatives on campus.
When asked if people would be accepting of conservatives on their campus, one student said, “No. not really. I know a lot of people who would either not interact with them or like bash them behind their backs.”

Why 4-Year College Is NOT For Everyone
Rep. Warren Davidson sees challenges and opportunities in American education. He tells Campus Reform that Americans should end the stigma against those who choose an apprenticeship or technical training program rather than a traditional four-year college.
Davidson spoke out against the assumption that a four-year college is the right choice for every student. He said, “That’s been ingrained now for probably a couple generations at least, and even socially, people put a stigma on, ‘Oh well you didn’t go to college,’ and you know, culturally, we have to end that.” He continued, “We should respect people that decide to be plumbers, electricians, you know, brick masons, all these skilled trades require real mastery to do it well.”

Students Support Renaming "Black Friday", Until They Find Out The Name Has Nothing To Do With Race
With Black Friday right around the corner, Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson went to the University of Florida to talk with students about the name.
In 2019, a reader-generated column of opinions was published in the Chicago Tribune, which included a section that claimed Black Friday discriminates against or profiles against Black people.
Jacobson asked students at the University of Florida if they would support changing the name of the day to something less offensive. Most students said yes.

The Campus Left Tries To Devour Thanksgiving | Ep.49
On this week’s special edition of the Campus Countdown, Campus Reform Reporter Ophelie Jacobson breaks down some of the Left’s latest attempts at cancelling Thanksgiving.
Back in 2018, the McQuade Library at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, referred to Thanksgiving as a “#NationalDayOfMourning.”
In 2020, a student at the University of Virginia encouraged readers to stand up to racist family members at Thanksgiving dinner in an opinion column in the student newspaper.
Also in 2020, student government leaders at Santa Rosa Junior College in Santa Rosa, California, discussed possible name changes for Thanksgiving, including “Thanks-taking” and “Thanks-killing.”
And most recently, the student paper editorial board this month at the University of Pittsburgh is asking students to “redefine” Thanksgiving.
Jacobson says these examples prove why “it is so important that we work to protect ‘the’ American holiday.”
“This is a part of our history and a part of our culture. We should be doing everything in our power to make sure the next generation of Americans continues to celebrate Thanksgiving and learn about the true history of what happened,” Jacobson says. “And that starts by paying attention to the rhetoric surrounding this holiday on campus.”

“We need to get CRT out of education and out of government…it’s a Marxist construct, if you understand the history of it,” Pukita said.
He is concerned about how Critical Race Theory, which began on college campuses, is infiltrating every level of education. He said, “It’s awful what they’re doing to our kids in terms of dividing them by color.”

Shooting At University Of Texas Campus Raises Security Concerns, Anti-Police Protests
After a shooting involving two non-university individuals occurred near the University of Texas at Austin over Halloween weekend, a segment of the student body is working to realize a vision of campus safety “beyond policing.”
Following the incident, The UT Senate of College Councils hosted an event titled “Campus Safety Beyond Policing” during which students discussed various ways to pursue a supposedly safer campus without needing UTPD.
The event was led by the Equity and Inclusion Team of the Senate of College Councils, which opened up the meeting by stating that the purpose of the meeting was to “gain insight into what safety means to you beyond policing and how to best advocate for your needs.”

Students Stunned By Thanksgiving Inflation, Say Americans Were Better Off Under Trump
Last year, Americans enjoyed the least-expensive Thanksgiving dinner in decades. Just one year later and on the heels of sky-high inflation, reports warn that this time around could be the most costly Thanksgiving feast in American history.
Campus Reform's Addison Smith talked to students in Washington, D.C. about this alarming shift. Several had no idea inflation was at its current state, and were astonished to hear how much popular Thanksgiving items have gone up in price. When asked, students also said that American families were better off financially under President Donald Trump than under Biden, with one claiming that even his "liberal" friends prefer Trump or Obama's economy to Biden's.

Students Concerned About Biden's $450k Payouts To Illegal Immigrants
The Biden administration is discussing paying out $450,000 per person and close to $1 million per family for people who came to the U.S. illegally and were separated at the US-Mexico border under the Trump administration's zero-tolerance policy in 2018, according to a report from Wall Street Journal.
Despite Biden calling the proposal “garbage,” White House deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Biden was "perfectly comfortable" following through with the payments.
Campus Reform reporter Ophelie Jacobson talked to students at the University of Florida about this plan. Students told Jacobson that the amount of money was “extreme.”

Indoctrinating Students Is A Profitable Career Path | Ep. 46
On this week’s episode of the Campus Countdown, Campus Reform Senior Correspondent Addison Pummill discusses one Florida instructor who used her position to indoctrinate students with a Pro-socialism webpage.
The webpage claims that “Socialism is a political movement founded on the idea that a just society equitably distributes resources to all citizens.”
“Although universities boast that they foster an environment of diversity and open discussion, professors across the country are using their position and curriculum to force their leftsit ideology onto their students,” Pummill says.

UIC Shuts Down TPUSA Tabling Event on Campus
School officials at the University of Illinois Chicago told a group of TPUSA students last Tuesday that they were not permitted to set up a table on campus without a reservation, and allegedly threatened them with arrest if they did not comply.
In a video obtained exclusively by Campus Reform, a university administrator tells members of the school’s TPUSA chapter that they were not allowed to table “freely like this on the quad.”
The footage was captured by Eduardo Sandoval, UIC student and president of the school’s TPUSA chapter. Sandoval identified the official as Ruby Lepe, assistant director of building management.
