Little Boy Smothered In The Puppy Love | Cuteness overload 😍
Dogs are animals, but they have a special place in my heart and the hearts of many adults and children. If appropriately trained and supervised, dogs can provide many valuable lessons and other benefits to children. Here are the top five reasons dogs are good for kids: Having to remember to feed, provide water, and KidandDogsclean up after a dog can give children a sense of importance and satisfaction that they can’t get from school or other chores. The relationship that develops can be life-changing for a child and a great support system as they themselves continue to grow and develop. Dogs can be incredibly frustrating! They chew, slobber, scratch and in other ways destroy many household items. This teaches children to restrain themselves and not yell at or hit the dog for doing something it doesn’t understand is problematic. Training a dog to walk on a leash, relieve itself outside, and sit can be very rewarding to the child. Just like humans, dogs feel emotion and pain. They are prone to injuries and the infirmities of age during their relatively short lives. As such, your children will witness a dog’s entire life cycle and likely grieve their passing. This is an invaluable lesson for a child as they comfort their dog and cope with its loss. Seeing a dog whimper in pain as it looks to them for help and comfort can teach your child the invaluable skill of helping others in need. Like most of us, dogs are social animals who enjoy and need attention and affection. By learning how to interact with a dog, children can learn how to better socialize with strangers and other children. If they can learn the social cues of a dog, then interacting with humans who can talk will be a walk in the park (pun intended). Last, but certainly not least, dogs are a lot of fun. There are numerous breeds to fit every type of personality from a tiny Shitzu that can be dressed up in costumes to a 130 lb Great Dane, to my favorite, the rambunctious, energetic, slobbery lab. They play fetch, tug-of-war, wrestle or can just keep your child company on a rainy day. They greet you with a wagging tail every day and can cheer you up even on your worst days.
Many people have studied dog behavior in attempts to decipher their behavior, and the theories abound. However, you just have to witness the interactions between dogs and children to realize the potential for greatness. Dogs can sense when children with epilepsy are about to have a seizure, they can sense when a diabetic child’s sugar is low, and they can help children with severe physical disabilities find happiness in life. Dogs have been immortalized in comic strips such as Marmaduke as well as movies like Turner and Hooch and more recently, Marley and Me. Parents with young children do need to use common sense to keep their children safe near a dog. Don’t let dogs and babies/toddlers play together on the floor or sleep together.
With the proper training and supervision, a dog can enrich your child’s life. After all, dogs are basically four-legged children who never grow up.

Sleep walking man!! Secret of the night
The smiling's sound will make you pee your pants. It sounds like a scene from a zombie movie, but a sleepwalker can actually move—even drive—as if he were awake. Knowing the signs of a sleepwalker and what to do about the problem can help keep him safe. Some people with abnormal sleep movements just sit up in bed and move their legs as if walking. Others may actually arise and complete tasks like dressing, undressing, eating, urinating or even driving. A sleepwalking person walks or makes other movements that appear to have a purpose. This happens when he is in a state of partial wakefulness from the deep sleep cycle. A sleepwalking episode happens about one or two hours after going to bed and can last anywhere from one to 30 minutes. Sleepwalkers have open eyes and a blank facial expression. It’s usually difficult and often impossible to wake them up. But when they do wake up, they don’t remember a thing about their overnight behavior. Sleepwalking is common in school-aged children and often associated with bedwetting during sleep. It usually goes away on its own, well before adulthood. As the nervous system matures, children begin to sleep through the night. When it lasts into adulthood, or begins later on in life, there may be other underlying causes. “Major life stressors like extreme physical or psychological stress, sleep deprivation, a noisy sleeping environment or extensive travel across time zones may cause adults to begin sleepwalking,” says Dr. Foldvary-Schaefer. Other triggers could be sleep apnea or prescription sleep medications. “When an adult presents with sleepwalking or other abnormal movements or behaviors arising from sleep, we look for an underlying cause by conducting a sleep study in the sleep lab,” she says. Once an underlying cause is identified and treated, the sleepwalking often goes away. For the most part, sleepwalking is harmless, but in some cases, there’s a chance the person could cause harm to himself or others. “These disorders can be disruptive and lead to sleep deprivation and injury, so it’s a good idea to discuss it with your doctor and decide together whether it needs to be investigated further,” says Dr. Foldvary-Schaefer. There are steps you can take to help ensure the safety of a loved one or yourself. To prevent or subdue abnormal sleep movements:
Stick to a normal sleep schedule
Avoid sleep deprivation
Avoid taking unnecessary sleep aid medications
Make sure the room is quiet and dark
Make others who sleep in the same home or room aware of your sleepwalking
To prevent injury:
Lock all doors and windows
Install stairway gates
Remove breakable objects from around the bed
Put car keys away
Keep guns and knives out of reach
Make sure children do not sleep in a top bunk Dr. Foldvary-Schaefer says that in cases where a person has a history of hurting himself or others, a consultation with a sleep specialist might be necessary. Sometimes, doctors specializing in sleep medicine will prescribe certain medications to manipulate a sleepwalker’s sleep cycle and prevent his abnormal movements. If you’re not getting a good night’s sleep because you or a loved one is sleepwalking, make an appointment to discuss your concerns with your doctor.

Kid Knows How To Give His Mom A Belly Laugh
Often times, kids can be quite a nuisance to deal with! They can be selfish, annoying, bratty, and even downright mean! But thankfully, there are always those moments where they are kind, loving, funny, and caring! These moments can completely overshadow the flaws they have, and they can often turn into some amazing heartwarming moments. If you were to look online, searching for a nice video to watch, you would easily stumble on one involving a kid. They always have some of the funniest moments, and they are always cute to watch. People love watching heartwarming videos and kids are the best stars for these types of videos!
The ways a kid can brighten someone’s day is unlike any other. They can do very simple things, and immediately put a smile on your face. Take the kid in this video for example, he decides to do a little dance and makes his mom crack up! Maybe he was in trouble earlier and was earning back his mom’s forgiveness! This mom definitely enjoyed the dance and she even had to record it for everyone to see. This kid definitely seems like the outgoing class clown type!
Dances can often make someone laugh and are the perfect way to make yourself seem foolish. The boy in this video is preparing a dance for his mom and it is sure to make you laugh and put a smile on your face. The video begins with an empty stairway as we wait for the young man to come out. From the side of the wall, a tall mannequin head in a hoodie pokes out! To the viewers’ surprise, the boy jumps into the open as a mannequin wearing a hoodie sweatshirt. As he pops out, you can tell the mannequin head is sitting on the boy’s head while in the hoodie. The new dancing mannequin has an extremely long torso with its head wearing the hoodie. You can already hear the mom snickering as he pops out, he must be quite the character!
If you are a gamer who likes Fortnite, you might even be able to recognize some of the dance moves this kid is doing. Fortnite, the popular video game, lets players do dance moves. These specific dances have swept the nation and has kids all over the world doing these dance moves. We could probably guess that this kid is a fan of the game! He has popular dances like the floss, where you move your hips and arms in opposite directions. Another one he does is called “shoot” in which the person hops on one foot and kicks out the other.
These dances really make his mom laugh and at some point during the dance, his mannequin head starts to bobble. The mom warns him he is about to lose his head since it is shaking so much! Of course, the mannequin ends up falling just like predicted. Always listen to your mother! This kid must be quite the comedian at home, we can see why the mom is laughing so much!

Who would suit this haircut? 😭✂️
Much ink was spilled over the bowl haircut, and even more photos have been shared of it. It has the reputation of being one of the less fortunate styling ideas mankind has come up with over the years. The name alone can give you an inkling why. It has a very straight fringe, and the rest of the hair has to follow the exact same length all the way around the head. This results in the cut looking as if someone literally placed a bowl on top of your head, upside down, of course, and traced it with a pair of scissors.
Can modern styling change the way we see the bowl haircut?
Some have called it the Comic Sans of haircuts. Regardless, the bowl haircut is a very simple hairstyle which you can do at home. That is why it was mostly addressed to children and pauper people, who couldn’t afford to see a barber. the classic bowl haircut from behind, with a bit of an undercut, to give it a more modern spin. It even has that puffed up quality we all remember it to have after our moms used to wash our hair for picture day.

Halloween is coming to squirrel town
“Yea Mommy, I’m going to hold him, and kiss him, and squeeze him, and love him, and eat him, and I shall call him George!”😃🎃
When it comes to mushy pumpkins, most people throw them away once Halloween is over. But one woman has come up with a novel way of putting them to good use - and her idea has really taken off. Maisie Jordan knows that squirrels love pumpkin and is encouraging people to leave them outdoors as a treat for the animals.
In it, she says: "Squirrels absolutely love pumpkin. Instead of throwing yours away after Halloween why not put at the bottom of the garden or take to your local woods/park? "Imagine how much wildlife could be fed with the millions of pumpkins that are thrown away! Not just squirrels but birds, hedgehogs, badgers, foxes! "Especially now when there is less of an abundance of food for wildlife. Why not do something good and give back for a change, kindness costs nothing."

When tacos are life...
And even though the taco is roughly half the size of our new animal obsession, Taco Squirrel looks unafraid and ready to tackle the angry bowels he will undoubtedly experience if the taco is from Taco Bell.
Nuts may be one of squirrels most naturally desired foods. ... Squirrels enthusiastically collect and eat pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, pistachios, acorns, cashews, chestnuts, hickory nuts, pine nuts out of pine cones, and macadamia nuts. Nuts are an optimal source of fat and protein for all types of squirrels. Other favorites aren't exactly natural, but the squirrels love them anyway. These additional foods include peanuts, peanut butter, peanuts, pecans, pistachios, grapes, corn, squash, zucchini, pumpkin, strawberries, carrots, apples, sunflower seeds and even snack items, such as Oreo cookies. Gray squirrels do not recover all of the nuts that they bury, and these nuts go on to become trees. Red squirrels horde their nuts above ground, and those nuts never germinate. ... To be more specific, this article points out that gray squirrels only find 26% of their buried nuts. Squirrels are omnivores, which means they like to eat plants and meat. Squirrels mainly eat fungi, seeds, nuts and fruits, but they will also munch on eggs, small insects, caterpillars, small animals and even young snakes

When you try your best but can't succeed... 😂🐶
While there are some dogs that just seem to intrinsically understand the game and will automatically chase and retrieve whatever object you use the first time you try, most do not. Either they sit and stare at you, wondering why you would choose to throw away a perfectly good toy, or they chase after the object but don’t “catch” it, or bring it back.
So what can you do to help your pup learn the game like a pro? Here are some tried and true tips.
If your dog is of the “sit and stare” variety, your first goal is to teach him to chase after the object you want him to fetch. Generally speaking, there are three ways to do this, depending upon what motivates your pup: you can offer him affection, treats, or play for retrieving the chosen object. Whichever motivator you use, the process is basically the same. Encourage your dog to go after the item you want him to fetch. When he grabs it, reward him with his motivator of choice, then take the object away. Repeat this a few times, then toss the object a short distance. When he goes for it, immediately reward him again. Repeat the process until you can reliably toss the object and get him to chase it.
After your dog chases the object, the next step is getting him to actually bring it back to you. There are a number of different things you can do depending on your dog’s behavior. If he won’t bring the object back at all, it can help to use a second toy. Once he’s “caught” the first one, show him the second and throw it in the opposite direction. He probably won’t carry the first toy with him, but it will at least get him accustomed to the idea of running back to you after he’s caught the object. After he masters this, try calling him to come back to you while he’s holding the object and asking him to drop it. If you show the second object, he’ll likely drop the first one to chase after it. Eventually, he’ll learn that if he comes back to you and drops the object, you’ll throw it again. For dogs that like to catch the object and run off with it, a rope can help. Once she catches the object, wriggle the line and pull it towards you or run away from your dog with it. This should encourage her to follow you. Even if she doesn’t, reel the rope in and praise her when she gets close, then toss the object again and repeat. Do this for a few weeks and your pup should come to you naturally. If your dog stops and drops the object before reaching you, back away while saying “All the way,” or “Bring it.” Once he reaches the spot where you were originally located, go to him and offer praise, then toss the object again. If the issue is that he won’t let go, tell him to drop it and put a treat by his nose. Most dogs will drop the object to go for the treat.
Perhaps the most important rule of all — your dog isn’t going to chase after something unless she actually wants it, so feel free to experiment with different objects (balls, Frisbees, sticks) until you find one that she’s interested in.

Dog Fall Asleep While Watching Sport
This puppy tried to awake while watching sport...
Like humans and other mammals, dogs progress through different stages of sleep. Also like us, dogs experience REM sleep. The main difference between dog sleep and human sleep is how much time they spend in the different stages, as well as a dog’s tendency to sleep in bursts throughout the day. Dogs tend to experience sleep-wake cycles of 16 minutes asleep, 5 minutes awake – quite the contrast with our typical sleep-wake cycle of 7 to 9 hours asleep, 15 to 17 hours awake. When dogs fall asleep, they enter deep sleep. Their breathing and heart rate slow while their blood pressure drops. About 10 minutes in, they enter REM sleep and dream like humans. You can often identify this stage because their eyes roll under their eyelids, and they may start twitching in their sleep as they dream of chasing after squirrels. Since dogs are always on the alert to protect their pack from intruders, they’re able to wake more easily. It’s common for them to wake up before completing a full sleep-wake cycle, from deep to REM sleep. As a result, scientists estimate they need to sleep more often overall in order to get their sufficient amount of REM.

These kittens are NOT happy about their new brother 😂
The last one is absolutely me...
Your best shot at pet togetherness is to get your cat and dog when they're both young. Kittens and puppies whoMany dogs and cats can live harmoniously together if introduced properly and supervised appropriately. Whether you’re adding a new cat or a new dog to your household, the top priority is always safety. A cat might be able to live safely and happily with some dogs, but not others, so even if your cat has lived with dogs before, use caution and proceed slowly when introducing your cat to a new dog. When introducing your cat to a dog, it’s best to introduce her to only one dog at a time. It is also important to have at least two people present, one to handle the dog’s leash and the other to tend to the cat. In the initial introduction, make sure that the two animals first clearly see and become aware of the presence of each other. If one of the animals hasn’t seen the other before the other gets too near, fear and panic may result. Even if the two animals appear to be exhibiting playful behavior, slow down any approaches until it’s clear that neither pet is anxious or frightened. grow up together are much more likely to get along, and they can even become close buddies. That said, if you've got an adult pet, it's possible to find a dog or cat who will coexist with him. The first thing you want to do is pay attention to the body language of both animals. Ideally, the body language of both pets will be loose and relaxed. In particular, watch how they look at each other. As you watch the dog, notice whether he can look at the cat and then look away. If he cannot, this may indicate that he is too excited or aroused. Observe the dog’s head and face; if the dog appears excessively focused on the cat, try calling him or snapping your fingers. If you can distract him relatively easily, his behavior suggests he doesn’t have an unhealthy degree of interest in the cat. If your dog has a strong prey drive, he might become very focused on the cat. (A prey drive is the inclination to seek out, chase and potentially capture animals seen as prey — usually smaller animals such as cats or rabbits.) He’ll stiffen, stare, glare, and may start barking or whining. If you see these signs, do not let the cat and dog get close to one another (yet). It’s OK if the dog pays attention to the cat, but you don’t want to see him fixated on her. How the cat looks at the dog is equally important, but pay attention to the other forms of feline body language, too. Once it is clear that the cat has seen the dog, observe whether the cat seems relaxed. A relaxed cat will move about calmly and confidently, will not glare at the new dog, and will not try to flee from the dog. If the cat is growling, hissing or attempting to scratch, it means she is currently uncomfortable. That doesn’t necessarily mean that she won’t accept the dog; it might just take a little more time.

This touching art tribute to Linkin Park's Chester Bennington is so powerful
Chester Bennington was my idol when i was a kid - i grew up on LP. I have the best memories when Hybrid theory and Meteora came out. I really did not want to make any art regarding his passing since it was just to soon . I remember the sad day i heard he was not with us anymore ( that was literally the very first time i felt so beaten down when i celebrity died ) It just felt like someone stole a part of my childhood. The worst(best) part for me was that everyone played his songs in the radio when he passed , i remember being in the mall when a song came up - i just had to leave because i could not contain my tears . ( that happened several times )
You are so missed by so many ! Im not alone with this feeling that you have given us great childhood memories . On behalf of all of us thank you ! Here are some word spoken by Chester : I have been able to tap into all the negative things that can happen to me throughout my life by numbing myself to the pain so to speak and kind of being able to vent it through my music. - @dinotomic

Just a little guy loving his scratches 😍😍
Bushbabies are very social animals that become stressed easily and live in complex family groups. They do not do well as solitary pets, and require specialised environmental requirements. Bushbabies are not a great animal to consider for a pet for the inexperienced, and should only be considered if necessary for a rescue.

Furious Cat Doesn’t Let Her Owner Go To The Hallway
As much fun as pets and animals can be, they also can be pretty mean and annoying! They are very much like kids. They can do very cute and innocent things and give you lots of joy and love, or they can be real brats and they can be quite a pain to deal with. Take for instance this angry cat in this video. This owner was going to create a video showing her house, when her angry cat took over. Cats can be quite moody animals, and although small, they can be quite frightening! Those claws are oftentimes very sharp and cats are quick and nimble. The cat ends up barricading the owner in and the owner continues filming the cat having a little tantrum.
Thankfully nothing happens to the owner of the cat, but seeing this small cat getting so angry is pretty interesting and funny! The video starts and the cat is in the hallway staring at the owner. You can hear what sounds like a baby crying, but no baby in sight. The owner walks more towards the cat, wondering why it is in such a bad mood, and you realize that the cat is making the noise! It sounds exactly like a crying baby and you never would have guessed it was the cat! You can already tell the woman is scared to walk through the hallway since the cat is guarding it.
The lady is trying to record a tour of her home but the cat is standing in the hallway. She is a little scared it might bite and as she tries to pass through, the cat hisses and gets ready to pounce. The cat lunges forward and tries to swipe at the woman walking through and lets out a big screech. The lady instantly backs up and lets out an “Aaaahhh!” This cat is in a very bad mood!
The woman retreats to her room, still trying to figure out how to get by this angry cat! She tries to talk to the kitty nicely and calm it down, but it isn’t working. The cat is still screeching at her and even starts to chase her a little! It continues to let out its cries and just stands in the doorway so she can’t pass. The woman must be quite surprised her cat is acting like this! The cat backs away a little but quickly comes back when the woman tries to run towards the hallway!
She tries one more time, but this cat isn’t giving up. The cat pounces once more and the woman lets out a big shriek accompanied with laughter, tool. She is probably thinking to herself how funny this situation is, she is a prisoner to her own cat! At one point the cat even chases her all the way to her bed! She rolls over to one side of the bed and the cat follows her, but then she comes back on the other side and makes a run for the door. She closes it behind herself laughing and leaving the cat in there to calm down! That cat must have been in a really bratty mood today!

Dog Owner Builds Window So Neighbour Can Pet Dogs
"I'm not allowed a dog, so my neighbors built a window into my yard so I can pet theirs..." 😍😍 so adorable he is
German Shepherd Dives Through Huge Leaf Pile
Autumn is definitely her favourite.
German Shepherd or GSD serve as an ideal family dog. They are considered as good house dogs because of their calm nature and caring temperament. When we adopted our first German Shepherd, we did so with the understanding that she was going to be an active dog and would need a lot of attention, play, and exercise in order to stay healthy and happy. This was our first time caring for a German Shepherd Dog (GSD), and we initially underestimated just how much activity she would need. When she was a puppy, we started to notice that she would get antsy, anxious, and even destructive. This was intensely frustrating for my mother, who liked to keep a clean and orderly house. My mom started to despise our dog and her destructive behavior. That’s when we took Sultan (our female GSD) to see a trainer. We’d been somewhat successful with our own training methods—she could sit, stay, come, lay down, shake, fetch, and do just about anything else she was asked to do. The trainer asked us if we noticed how calm and attentive Sultan was while learning or performing these commands. We told him that we had. He explained that Sultan was content doing something active that she knew pleased her masters. He told us that she wasn’t destroying the house because she was a bad dog, but that she was destroying the house because she was intensely bored. That’s when we knew we needed to be better owners and make sure that Sultan had plenty of fun activities to keep her entertained.

Jealous Dog Wants Puppy Back
I'm not the jealous type
Also me:....
Warnings
Be careful with rewards. If your dog appears jealous at any time, do not reward him. You're rewarding his jealous behavior. If he barks while you hug your partner, wait until he's calm, and then reward him.
Don't yell at or physically discipline your dog if he becomes jealous.
But since the evolutionary biologist made the observation in 1871, scientists have debated whether animals can actually feel jealousy, with many arguing it is an emotion that only humans exhibit. Now experts believe they have proven that dogs do get jealous when their owners give too much attention to a rival. Dogs can act jealous or protective over items or people. It can become a big problem when the object of the jealousy is a spouse. This type of jealousy is damaging to the bonds between both people and dogs. ... Some have said that jealousy is too intricate for dogs to feel, but most dog lovers would disagree.

Me Going To Work On A Monday Morning
Same story, different week
A statement often heard is that bulldogs are lazy dogs. ... These are false accusations; bulldogs just use their energy very thoughtful. If bulldogs feel like it the will go for the full 100% and they are one big ball of energy. The bulldog is certainly not a lazy dog. But, in this situation, we need to look back
The average dog sleeps for about 12 to 14 hours per 24-hour cycle. That's just the beginning, though. Puppies, who expend a lot of energy exploring and learning may need as much as 18 to 20 hours. Older dogs also tend to need more rest, as do certain breeds. People-oriented as a breed, they actively solicit human attention. However, they have retained the courage that was originally bred into them for bull baiting, so they make fine watchdogs. Although they generally get along well with other family pets, English bulldogs can be aggressive to unfamiliar dogs.

Sea lions are basically just dogs of the ocean 😍
They are the staffies of the ocean, all our sbts have looked like seals. They act like a dog when they meet divers. How adorable Sea Lion are.
There are actually seven species of Sea Lions in the world, but people tend to lump them all into one category. They all belong to a group of animals known as pinnipeds. Sea Lions are very interesting animals that can end up being extremely large. The males are much bigger than the females which helps them to gain the ability to mate with them because the females will look for the largest males out there to be with. Sea Lions are found in bodies of water all over the world, but not in the Northern Atlantic Ocean. Many researchers find this to be a very interesting fact. Yet they can’t pinpoint reasons why this is the case. The temperatures are compatible with where some Sea Lions live. There is also plenty of the food that they consume found there. Some species of Sea Lions live in the sub arctic areas while others live in warmer climates including California. They have long torpedo shaped bodies that are well designed for movements both in the water and on land. All species of Sea Lions are considered to be mammals. This is because they give live birth to their young and the females also nurse the pups with milk they produce in their bodies. Sea Lions really only have two predators that are other animals – Killer Whales and Sharks. The threat that they pose depend on the areas where the Sea Lions live. When they have to go further out into the waters to find food then they are more likely to encounter such predators. Man has proven to be the biggest threat to the Sea Lion survival though for a very long time. We really only know the basics about Sea Lions including their anatomy and their mating habits. We do know that they are very social animals and that they have a variety of methods of communicating. Yet we really don’t know much about what those different types of sounds are used for.

Winter Getaway In Lapland
Finnish Lapland is an incredibly beautiful place where nature has been kept unspoiled thanks to the rough conditions. Only brave travelers make it up above the Arctic Circle
Winter is actually the best time of year you could come to Lapland. Most of the traditional Lappish activities involve snow, so you’ll need to come from December till early April to experience the real thing. Would anybody in their right mind travel to Finland, and Lapland, in December, January, February? You bet! And you, too, absolutely should. Visiting Lapland is one of the best things to do in Finland in winter. Apart from drinking with Finns. Lapland encompasses the top part of Finland and actually stretches to Sweden and Norway too. It’s sparsely populated thanks to the tough living conditions and the Second World War. Today, Lapland in Finland is home to about 3.4 % of Finnish population. It’s also a home to the Sami people, who present the only indigenous population of the EU.
One of the best thing that you should try when you come to Lapland is try Husky Safari. This safari was my fave! It involves riding through beautiful landscapes, trying to slow the dogs down a bit, as they have an insatiable desire to run at the speed of light. The silent ride, interrupted only by the dogs’ barks and excited shrieks, makes for a great adventure. Your dogs will pull the sled happily and will occasionally turn around to check who’s at the helm :) Husky riding is one of the most popular activities in Lapland. Driving a snowmobile will get your adrenaline levels up! Let your engine roar and carry you over snowy hilltops and frozen lakes. You’ll need a driver’s license, though. All snowmobile providers wrap you up in a warm overall and do a break with hot beverages in the middle so you won’t get too cold. See? This is how even Lapland winter can get warm and cozy. Did you know Santa Claus’ official base is in Rovaniemi, a little town on the Arctic Circle? You definitely should stop by if you’re on your way further up North. Santa’s main post office looks really special and you can even check out how many letters came in from any country in the world. There are elves instead of shop assistants and you can meet Santa (for €30), he’s available every day! Don’t forget to cross the Arctic Circle a few times, just for the fun of it. Obviously, for the most Christmas cheer, you need to come to Lapland in December. Already at the end of November, Santa officially declares the Christmas season open. In 2017, the season’s opening is scheduled for Saturday Nov 18 at 4pm. The Christmas festivities last for a month and on December 23 Santa hops on a reindeer-pulled sleigh and begins the mission to distribute gifts to all the kids in the world

Dog Stares Longingly Out Of Window
He acts like he didn't just play outside for three hours...
Do you ever get the feeling your dog has the blues? Dog emotions can be hard to read because our pets can’t use words to explain how they feel. However, most of us have a sense of our dogs’ moods. We read their body language and behavior, and can tell when they’re not feeling their best. Dog sadness is real, but it’s not the same as human sadness. It’s well-established by now that dogs experience emotions. In fact, according to neuroscientist Gregory Berns, “they have feelings very much like we do, even though they don’t have words to describe them.” In other words, dogs do get sad, they just aren’t able to tell us about it.
So how can you tell if your dog is sad? Dogs don’t cry, but they do have other physical responses to feeling unhappy. Here are some physical signs your dog might be sad:
Vocalizations like whines or whimpers
Mopey behavior around things they typically enjoy
Lowered energy
Refusing food or treats
Eyes appear squinty or smaller than usual
A change in sleep patterns or behavior
It’s important to note that the above symptoms also might indicate a medical issue. If your dog’s behavior or energy level changes, your first step should be to call the vet.
Dog emotions are real, but they’re far less nuanced than our human emotions. As Dr. Berns told National Geographic, “Dog brains are not the same as humans. One big difference is in the size. A dog brain is about the size of a lemon, at best…There’s not the same real estate in there, so they can’t do some things we can do.” It’s impossible to know exactly what goes on inside your dog’s head. But it’s safe to assume their experience of sadness is less nuanced than your own. Humans have deeper, more complex emotional and psychological experiences. Dogs, on the other hand, react to their immediate surroundings and experiences. When your dog is sad, they’re likely responding to a change in their routine or environment. Dog sadness can also be caused by a negative experience that caused sadness-adjacent emotions like anxiety or shyness.
