Rescued calves adorably chase each other like gigantic farm puppies
Nigel and Benny are no ordinary calves. They are part of the family at a magical sanctuary called Black Dog Farm and rescue in Texas. They were originally members of a herd on a large beef farm in Texas. Destined for auction and then to the feed lot to be fattened up for slaughter, these cows did not realize that their days were numbered. But fortune smiled upon them when things changed due to Covid 19. The butchers and slaughter houses could no longer function at capacity and Nigel and Benny quickly became less valuable for meat. The farmer was going to have to butcher them early.
Jennifer and Jim, who run Black Dog Farm and Rescue caught wind of this and they went to see what they could do. They fell in love with these gentle beasts and saw the playfulness and curiosity in both of them. The couple bought them on the spot and brought them to their sanctuary where they would be safe and loved.
Nigel and Benny have thrived here, eating and growing rapidly. They have also learned how to play and run through the pastures and paddocks as if they are gigantic farm puppies. They chase each other endlessly, play with balls, run with the farm dogs and seek out the humans in the family for affection and attention.
One of their favourite games is to run like they have the zoomies, round the hay bales and farm vehicles, and in and out of the buildings. They truly seem to think that they are dogs themselves.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue has been performing small miracles for a while now. They rescue the saddest and neediest dogs, cats, and cows. They have even rescued guinea pigs and hens. They are grateful for any possible support from fellow animal lovers. Please look them up on Facebook and follow them on YouTube and Rumble. And please consider helping them financially so that they can keep doing what they do for our four legged and two legged friends.

Rescued cow comes running when called by his name
Nigel is one of the loveable characters that have found their second chance at a magical sanctuary called Black Dog Farm and Rescue in Texas. He loves life and he loves the people who run the farm. Jennifer and Jim started this farm out of an extreme love for animals. It began with dogs, and particularly black dogs, who are much more likely to end up abandoned or euthanized than any other dogs. Then came the cats that also needed a loving home. And now, this amazing farm takes in dogs, cats, cows, hens, guinea pigs and any creature who needs love or medical care.
Most of the animals who find their way here are unwanted, or their owners were unwilling or unable to provide the costly care that they require. Some need more effort than anyone else will put into their recovery. But almost every one thrives when it finds its way to this beautiful piece of paradise.
Many of the animals here are made whole again and then taken to carefully selected forever homes. Some have been so badly abused that they need to heal and learn to trust again. When they are ready, they find a new life and a new chance with loving families. And a few will remain here forever, finding that this is where they belong.
Nigel is one of those animals who will always live at Black Dog Farm and Rescue. When the pandemic hit, beef auctions were scarce in Texas and Nigel was no longer valuable to the farmer who owned him. Sadly, Nigel could not stay on a farm where the owner could not afford to feed him for nothing. The farmer approached this rescue and offered him up. It was an act of kindness that this gentle soul truly deserved. And Nigel has never looked back, He even has new best friends here and all his days are happy ones.
Jennifer treats her animals like family and they respond to her gentle words and kind heart. When she calls Nigel, he runs happily to greet her, as we see in this video.
Nigel is a cow full of playfulness and he even has a sense of humour. He is the perfect fit for the rest of the farm family.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue gratefully accepts donations to help them work their little miracles. You can sponsor Nigel or any of the other animals here, or you can simply buy him a nice dinner or a new toy. Find Black Dog Farm and Rescue on Facebook and enjoy the stories and updates, or look into how you can help.

Baby goats get excited for their new parkour obstacle course
Baby goats are among the cutest and most entertaining animals in the world. These goats live at a beautiful farm called Black Dog Farm and Rescue, in Texas. It's a place where the most needy animals find a second chance at life. They are either too unhealthy or too costly to fit in anywhere else, but this farm finds a way to nurse them back to health or to provide the love and the space that they need to thrive. Many animals go on to carefully selected forever homes after they are made whole again. But some remain here to live their days happily.
Rowena is the proud mother of Fiona, Finn, and Fergus. The little goat family had just arrived here and they needed a place to climb and explore, as all goats do. Jennifer and Jim, who run this magical farm, created a dream come true for baby goats. It's a parkour obstacle course that allows them to climb, balance, jump, and show off their athletic abilities. Goats in their element are a true joy to watch and their curiosity and playfulness are extremely endearing.
Black Dog Farm can be found on FaceBook as well as Rumble, and their posts are uplifting, funny, and occasionally tragic. But all of them show the love and determination of a family who will not see any animals abandoned or forgotten. This wonderful sanctuary will also gratefully accept any help provided in order to carry on the amazing work that they do for their animal family.

Rescued bull terrier does hilarious extreme head tilt when spoken to
Bodhi is a perfect example of a grateful and loving rescue dog. He was brought home by the wonderful family who run an animal sanctuary in Texas called Black Dog Farm and Rescue. It's an amazing place where the most needy animals can find a second chance.
Bodhi was one of the beautiful souls who found love at Black Dog Farm. He became very attached to Kennedy, the young girl in the family. Here, Bodhi responds with a hilarious head tilt in what seems to be a valiant effort to understand what is being said. His family found this incredibly endearing and they laughed at these antics.
Sadly, Bodhi has endured all types of mistreatment prior to finding kindness at Black Dog Farm. He was left at a high kill shelter and was then transferred to another in Iowa. Although his time was short and they lost Bodhi in 2019, he experienced true love and acceptance for the first time in his life.
Black Dog Farm and Rescue is a place where dogs learn how it feels to be hugged and spoken to with a kind voice. It's a place where sleeping on a bed and running free is what life is all about. And it's a place for goats, cows, cats, and even guinea pigs. They can be found on Facebook as well as Rumble. Their posts are heart warming, inspiring, occasionally tragic, and often funny.

Massive duck swarm covers entire front lawn when bird feeder is filled
This homeowner in Iowa filled her bird feeder daily for all the little song birds in her neighbourhood. When she added corn, she was in for a surprise. A few ducks found the corn and gobbled it up like they were starving. In fact, they might have been. It was an extremely cold winter and the kind lady with the feeder, Jennifer, knew they needed a little help. Almost right after the first ducks found the food supply, business blossomed. It started with a few, but they told their friends and the friends told the other friends. Soon, word of mouth or rather, "word of beak" got around and it seemed like all the ducks in Iowa were descending on this front lawn to gobble up the seed. Jennifer and her husband were happy to feed them all! They were spending $50 per week on corn and $20 on other seed, but their feathered friends had very little food elsewhere. They began showing up at 7am for breakfast and 5pm for dinner. A few of the originals actually waited at the garage door each morning.
Since this video was recorded, the animal lover residents moved to Texas to realize their dream of opening an animal sanctuary. Jennifer and Jim bought a magical little farm where the saddest and most needy can find the help they need. Most of their rescues are dogs and cats that nobody else could or would care for. Some have staggering medical costs and others just need more care than the average person can provide. Often they need to be nursed back to health with round the clock treatments and feedings. Only the most dedicated of people could manage what they do regularly.
Jennifer and Jim's sanctuary has grown quickly. They have numerous dogs, cats, cows, goats and even a guinea pig and some hens. The whole family is involved in the care and they pour their heart and soul into providing love to those who were going to be at the end of their lives.
There is no such thing as a bad dog, but for some reason, black dogs don't always find homes. They are far more likely to end up in shelters or to be euthanized for lack of a home. Jennifer's farm is aptly named "Black Dog Farm and Rescue" in honour of Faline, their first rescue. She's a beautiful soul who has provided as much love as she has been given. And those who are not wanted elsewhere are wanted here, enough to make up for what they didn't have before. Many of the animals find their way to carefully selected forever homes, but some become permanent residents.
The Black Dog Farm and Rescue has been very grateful for the generosity of other animal lovers, which has helped them with their costs. If anyone wants to help them work their magic for these deserving souls, please find them on Facebook.

Rescued dog has funny method of scratching her belly
Faline is a beautiful Staffordshire bull terrier who is now living the best life possible at a little piece of heaven called Black Dog Farm and Rescue. Here, she shows how she cannot contain her joy when spring arrives and a sunny day presents her with the opportunity for rubbing her belly on the ground. Faline is a real character with more personality than the average dog. Her family is certain that she has a sense of humour and that she does things like this, at least partly, because she enjoys the laughter and the attention that it brings.
Faline is the original member of this farm, and she is the princess of the entire place. It's a magical sanctuary that has grown rapidly to meet the needs of dogs, cats, cows, goats, guinea pigs and even hens. But this place, and the love behind it were inspired by this gentle soul who was actually doing a little rescue of her own when she found the family who own the farm.
Jennifer and her husband, Jim brought Faline home to help their son Keiran mend his broken heart after losing their beloved chocolate lab. Keiran has autism and he would benefit from the love and the connection of a pet like Faline. Jennifer has several health struggles as well and she also found that Faline was more than a member of the family right from the start. She was an important part of their healing.
Jennifer's family soon became known as the people who would help any animal in distress. They began rehabilitating the most broken and homeless pets that nobody else would take. With love, vet care, socialization, and time, most of these animals became all that they once were and they were taken to carefully selected forever homes. Some remain here, living the good life, like Faline is now.
Jennifer and Jim moved from Iowa to Texas to find a place that could house all the animals they were rescuing. They have created the "Black Dog Farm and Rescue" that now helps so many of these deserving souls. This farm relies on help, in part, from the generosity of other animal lovers. Donations or contributions are gratefully accepted.
Jennifer and Jim can be found through Facebook at "Black Dog Farm and Rescue".

Rescued Bull Terrier Attempts To Befriend Grumpy Cat
Faline is a beautiful 3 year old Staffordshire bull terrier who is now living the good life on a wonderful piece of paradise known as Black Dog Farm and Rescue. Faline is the original rescue dog and she believes she is the princess of the farm. But Faline wasn't just being rescued. She was also performing her own sort of rescue.
This farm is run by a woman named Jennifer who has a heart as big as her home state. She and her family have been rescuing the saddest and most needy cases for a few years. When the family's chocolate lab died, they were heart broken. Jennifer's son, Kieran has autism and he was particularly affected by the loss of their family friend. He dreamed that his beloved dog, Riley told him it was ok to get another dog. Faline seemed like she would be the ideal emotional support dog for Kieran. The two of them needed each other.
Faline has been a wonderful fit at this farm and she tries hard to make friends with all of the cats, and with Maggie in particular. Maggie does her best to look angry but she actually tolerates Faline quite well. Dogs come and go on this farm, being nursed back to health, often receiving enormous and costly veterinary care. Sometimes they just need love and attention as much as medical help. When these gentle animals have been mended, they are taken to carefully selected forever homes where they will get the love and care that a dog deserves. Faline loves them all and showers them with attention.
Faline has proven to be a huge comfort for Kieran, and for Jennifer who suffers from a few painful medical conditions. Despite this, she and her husband Jim pour a lot of effort into rescuing dogs, cows, goats, guinea pigs, bunnies, and hens. They don't seem to be able to turn away any animal in need.
This amazing farm is powered by the love of a family, and by donations from family and friends. To become a member, pledge support, or simply to learn more about their amazing animals, visit them on Facebook.

Curious cows have adorable reaction to the latest sanctuary arrival
These curious cows live on a magical farm in Texas known as Black Dog Farm and Rescue. Here, they have been living the good life, but it wasn't always so easy for these gentle beasts. Each of them has found their way here due to medical issues of other problems that made them too expensive for their owners to keep them on the farm where they once lived. In the farming world, an animal that costs more than they are valued at must have their time cut short.
But at this wonderful sanctuary, animals come here to find the help they need, as well as a forever home. Nigel, Benny, and Claire have been here almost a year and they have been soaking up the love and feasting on the ample supply of food. They play and they interact with the family that runs this farm. They have learned to trust their humans completely.
These three cows are understandably curious when a new arrival comes to the sanctuary. Walter is a tiny calf who suffers from dwarfism, a flattened face, and an upward turned patella. He came from the farm across the road where his days were numbered. His conditions and the care he would require were going to be overwhelming for the farmer, but Jennifer, Jim and her family knew that they could provide all the support that this little fellow needed at their sanctuary. They brought Walter home and his second chance at life began. Understandably, he misses his mother and he is frightened and feeling alone. As he cries in the barn and his mother calls out from across the road, Walter's new farm family has come to greet him and check him out. They approach with adorable curiosity and some hesitation.
This little creature is loud and he is very strange to the other cows. But very soon, he will be welcomed and treated like royalty. His life here will be long and happy and he will always be among friends.
Black Dog Farm can be found on Facebook. They do amazing work, which is only possible with the support of friends, family and other animal lovers. Please check out their page and consider helping them do the work that these little creatures so richly deserve.
