Precious Thoughts Episode 004: Why I Carry Around PMs Like a BOSS
Yankee Stacking fans who saw me at Tim's (video link below) had some things to say about my stacking habits. A lot of great points! I explain my personal view on stacking and showing my stack to others. While it is true the the safest stack is the most secret stack, and that the safest stackers are the most secret stackers, there are good reasons to talk about stacking publicly.
As a REMINDER I do take a wide variety of safety precautions, chief among them that I do not regularly carry this much around with me and I hold the vast majority of my stack in locations where it is professionally stored and protected.
Like investing, the key to stacking is DIVERSIFICATION. In this case, diversification of storage sites!

Alexis Questions Episode 002: Alexis Questions... Jacob Goldstein and the Gold Standard
In his book "Money: The True Story of a Made Up Thing", Jacob Goldstein writes about how paper money is created and managed in modern economies, and how its mismanagement has created economic hardship such as the Great Depression. Many believe that we may be headed for a recession similar in magnitude to what followed The Great Depression. But, this time around, we are not on a gold standard. Could that mean we are headed for a totally different (perhaps better) outcome? Put differently, does being off a gold standard help the Federal Reserve better maneuver a "soft landing"?
