Got a bunch of little things done today. ran the generator and it runs my window AC without breaking a sweat. went and got some lumber for the window AC installs and a 6X6 beam to replace a porch support on Bevs back porch.

To each his own, but I find it to be just bizarre that people still wear masks,outside walking all by themselves. One lady had TWO masks on. I saw another guy, inside his car, by himself, masked, rubber gloves, faceshield. C-o-VID make loons out of some folks.

@bctruck I ran my shop AC on a dual fuel champion generator.

This is not a review., just gettting the #champion 2500 watt dual fuel generator out io the box and running it for a few hours. Then got all the crushed fence and fence posts gathered up for for the scrap nan to pick up. Went and bought new bars and chains for my two stihl chainsaws.

Just filmed a bunch of different things throughout the day.

Yep. Smelled like dead animal. ( Note to self, stop eating so much meat. ) Since having my surgery, I feel like a new man and I’ve found a zest and zeal for knife making that I haven’t felt in a couple of years. I’m eagerly awaiting Saturday morning so I can shape the handles on the sharp finger. It’s gonna be beautymus! I have enough left over burled ironwood that I can make a 3 finger neck knife with it. Got a dear John letter from our insurance company. They’re dumping us. They assured us that it wasn’t us, it was them. They just aren’t ready for a serious relationship right now. I’m looking forward to getting the handles on this knife. We had a dogmergency today and had to take lucybelle to the vet. I’m amazed at my interstate fuel mileage in my Honda Ridgeline pickup truck.

Had another tree blow down in last nights storm. It’s something that I can cut up myself so it’s no big deal. Finished three knives today. I’ll make the leather sheaths sometime this week and get them sent on their way to their new life.

Found some presentation grade desert ironwood burl. Gonna put it on a mirror polished sharpfinger.

Today(Saturday) I’ll be spending the entire day in my newly air conditioned shop. I was digging around in my handle wood and I came across a piece of presentation grade desert ironwood burl. I called a plumber to see what it would cost to have the leaks in my plumbing fixed. He told me $500 minimum. I bought some shark bite fittings for $66 and crawled under the house and fixed it myself. I read that plumbers hate shark bite fittings and I think I know why. I fixed my water leaks in about 20 minutes and saved myself 434 bucks.

Scroll forward to 13:40 to get past my unfixing of the original AC. They made what use to be very simple window AC’s into some complicated and delicate things. Years ago, I could install a tap and fill with Freon. If a blower motor went out, it was easy to repair. Those days are gone now and unless your a skilled electronics tech, the average DIY guy has no chance of fixing the new AC’s. So,,,, half the video is about me trying to fix the broken one and the other half is of me installing a new window unit.
