Great news! I can ride my motorcycle! Tuesday, I’m going to work on my shop AC, then Wednesday, work on my water leak.

Got up at 2:00 this morning, drank some coffee and worked a few hours in the shop.

They finished clearing the trees from my yard. Charly and I went down to check out the furthest end of our property. We’ll have to move our new fence about 10 feet inside our property line to avoid a cement sewer thing that the city pulled out of the ground and left there. Got one dinner skinner finished and another ready for hand sanding. Got a neck knife ready for hand sanding. Insurance adjuster came by. We have no damage on the roof and he didn’t sound like they would give us much for the fence. Some very nice folks put a sizable amount of money on my pay pal and I’ll use that money to buy the new fence. I think that Charly and I can put this up ourselves. We’ll just take our time and put it up in small bites.

Yes, that’s a click bait picture. I accidentally used a dinner skinner pattern while making a neck knife. I’m glad I realized what I was doing before I tried making a kydex sheath for it.

The tree clearing have absolutely amazed us at how hard and quickly they work. We took them to eat Mexican food today. We can’t thank them enough for cleaning a mess that had us considering moving as a last resort. We got to know them pretty good. Nothing but the best of men. A rare thing these days. I got the handles on a knife and went and looked at recliners for sleeping. We had sticker shock at how much they’ve increased in price since we last bought furniture.

I’m shocked at how quickly these guys are getting these trees out of here.

It was mostly a good day, but miserable in my shop because the AC quit running. Sold a knife, started a second knife, bought some pizza for the crew cutting trees. Got told by a couple experts that if I don’t take it very easy, I could hurt myself badly. There’s two things I can do that won’t put my surgery in danger, make knives, polish my bike.

I got this edited backwards. I’m learning a new editing software and obviously, I have a ways to go. This gentleman sent me pics of his generator shed build. He did a nice neat job and I’m happy to share it with you.

CC pocket radio, https://amzn.to/43VALnt This little CC pocket radio out performs the grundig radio ten fold. It was about the same price too. The AM band picked up dozens of stations while the grundig only picks up 2. This is an area I fell short in during our power outage. We didn’t just lose power, we lost internet and cell service as well we were in a complete information blackout. The grundig was a complete failure and totally useless in an emergency. The CC pocket radio will fill that gap nicely.

I didn’t expect much when I contacted the owner of the land where the trees fell from. I have to say, I’m very surprised they stepped right up and sent a crew out here to start clearing this mess. I’m not happy with how sloppy they are in disposing of the limbs, but if they take care of 80% of this, I can finish the rest.

As if I don’t have enough on my plate right now. I’m grateful that our home wasn’t damaged, but it’s gonna be months before I can pick up a chainsaw.
