Custom Wash Plant in Operation. Start-up Day!

This client came to us with an idea. They wanted to incorporate a high pressure wash system into a portable wash plant. Their feed material has high clay content. It is present in sizes similar to aggregates. In a traditional wash plant, this clay get sorted by the wash screen and ends up in product piles. When these aggregates are used to make ready-mix concrete, the clays breakdown and change the gradations and strengths. This producer purchased a tandem plant solution to process concrete debris. Its a very profitable operation. Producer gets to charge a dumping fee, process the material which is brought in, and then sell the processed material (crushed base rock) into the market place (often loading the same trucks up that brought in concrete debris). This is the first generation ROCKY 600. Improvements that follow in V2 included a dust tight and temperature enclosure for the PLC (much needed), dust suppression system and upgrades to the PLC hardware & software. Still a very good machine, but as with most things real life shows where designs need improvement.
