NYC Man Gets Sweetheart Deal For Drug Smuggling
Adderly Rafael Santos Familia was busted at the baggage claim at Terminal 8 on Dec. 14, 2022 after his American Airlines flight arrived from Puna Cana, Dominican Republic, federal prosecutors have said. Santos Familia was stopped by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers who questioned him before searching through a black backpack, duffel bag and a rolling suitcase that had been checked, court papers said. The officers found two neck pillows — one green and one black — that felt heavier they should be, prompting inspectors to cut them open. Inside they found “small white packets of a white substance,” which the dad blamed on his kids. Santos Familia was facing up to seven years behind bars when he pleaded guilty to one count of cocaine importation on Jan. 23 — but Judge Rachel Kovner gave him just 18 months based on his lack-of-criminal record and playing an “important role” within his family, who were present for the proceeding.

Witnesses Warned Trump Security Of Gunman
The witness, identified only as Greg, told the BBC that he was having a party outside the rally and was planning to walk up through a nearby field and listen to Trump when he started speaking. But as he was walking up, about five minutes into Trump’s speech, “We noticed a guy bear-crawling up the roof of the building beside us, 50 feet away from us.” “We’re pointing at the guy crawling up the roof… the police are down there running around on the ground. We’re like, ‘Hey man, there’s a guy on the roof with a rifle’… and the police were like, ‘Huh, right.’ They didn’t know what was going on.” “Next thing you know, I’m thinking to myself, ‘Why is Trump still speaking? Why have they not pulled him off the stage?’ I’m standing there pointing at [the gunman] for, you know, two or three minutes. The Secret Service is looking at us from the top of the barn. I’m pointing at the roof, just standing here like this… Next thing you know, five shots came out.”

Assistant Killed Boss To Cover Up Embezzlement
Tyrese Haspil’s out-of-control passion drove him to suffer an “extreme emotional disturbance” and butcher investor Fahim Saleh in his Lower East Side apartment in July 2020 to hide his theft of nearly half a million dollars, defense attorney Sam Roberts told jurors in his closing arguments at his clients Manhattan murder trial. His attorney told jurors in Manhattan Supreme court he was ecstatic about Marine Chaveuz, a French foreign exchange, and showered her with weekend getaways for her friends and designer items, his attorney argued. He feared she would “abandon” him as others had done in his life, and sprung for things like helicopter rides to the airport and a posh apartment, Roberts said. Haspil’s embezzlement-fueled romance tab eventually grew to $400,000 by May 2020, said prosecutors — who accused him of simply killing Saleh because he feared being outed and losing the lifestyle he had build with the embezzled cash.

Disabled Man Steals $11K In Cigarettes
A man using a walker is accused of stealing more than $11,000 worth of cigarettes from a Walgreens store last week, authorities said. According to a Facebook post by the Delaware State Police, the thief took the smokes from the store, located on New Linden Road in Wilmington, on June 13. Authorities calculated the loss at $11,000. It was unclear from the video how long it took the alleged thief to walk away with the cigarettes, how many trips he had to make to steal that many, or whether he had an accomplice who would have distracted the employee. The walker the alleged thief was pushing also appeared to have a compartment under its seat that was capable of stacking cigarette cartons, although it was unclear how many could be piled on. Man Robs Anaheim Bank A Day After Leaving Prison
Eric Walter Gray was indicted Wednesday for allegedly holding three Bank of Montreal employees hostage for an hour while “by force and violence, and by intimidation, knowingly” robbing the financial institution of “a bank the deposits of which were then insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation,” a charge that would put him away for at least 10 years in federal prison and possibly two decades if he is convicted. “GRAY said he smoked the narcotics and got high. The narcotics made GRAY extremely anxious and paranoid,” the complaint continued, saying that Gray claimed to call 911, was taken to a hospital, and then was “kicked […] out” the next morning, just hours before the post-4 p.m. robbery. “[t]he bank teller told GRAY he/she could not help him because the card did not have his name and GRAY did not have any identification” — the suspect allegedly entered a bank bathroom, “did some more” meth, and then promptly jumped over the bank counter to begin the robbery. “GRAY then said, ‘Everybody be cool; give me the money,” he said, even as he claimed to have a gun, the complaint added. H.M., another employee, “opened the drawer and saw GRAY grab approximately $1,000 in cash and stuff it into his pockets.” Eric Walter Gray, Bank Of Montreal, Anaheim, San Quentin

Guards Watched OnlyFans As Inmate Prepared Suicide
A group of Los Angeles Men’s Central Jail guards were apparently too busy watching what appeared to be OnlyFans as an inmate hung a noose in his cell. Inspectors Haley Broder and Eric Miller were making rounds at the facility last month when they saw a noose hanging in one of the cells on the high security unit. “Though unlikely to support the incarcerated person’s weight, the noose was obvious to anyone looking into the cell,” the inspectors wrote in their official report. Broder stayed behind with the suicidal inmate, who had started banging his head against the wall, while Miller went to find a deputy, they explained. When Miller first walked up to the deputy station, the eight jailers seated around the television station brushed off his concern. When he returned 30 minutes later, he noticed the group was gathered around watching a “sexually explicit” video. Los Angeles Mens central jail, OnlyFans, Haley Broder, Eric Miller

Man Tried To Steal Deceased Person's Sex Doll
Ryan Smith was arrested and charged with burglary, impersonating a peace officer, criminal trespass and tampering with physical evidence. Smith, 42, was working for Mid-American First Call — which handles body transportation, embalming, cremation and other funeral-related services in Nebraska and parts of Iowa — when he was arrested in October 2023, according to court records obtained by The Post. There was a “very real life size version of an adult female” in the room with a deceased person that he was tasked with transporting, according to the affidavit. Smith later manipulated his way back onto the property in order to get into the residence of the deceased by claiming to work for the Sarpy County Sheriff’s Office. Smith planned to smuggle the sex doll out in a body bag, but property management intervened. When authorities arrived to examine the apartment a second time, they noticed that the bed had been rearranged and that a black survival case had been taken out of the closet, the arrest document stated. The sex doll, meanwhile, appeared to have been tampered with in the inner thigh area. It was “sticking to the touch,” and officers collected it for DNA processing.

Juror Received $120K Cash In Bribe Money
Another Minnesota juror has been replaced as the panel deliberates on the fate of seven people accused of misappropriating millions of dollars in federal funds meant to feed children during the pandemic, in what prosecutors say is part of the largest fraud scheme of its kind in the nation. The juror was removed Tuesday after a family member asked them if they were being sequestered because another juror was allegedly offered a bribe of nearly $120,000 in cash over the weekend. That juror was not home Sunday night, the eve of deliberations, when a woman delivered a gift bag full of cash and left it with a relative, according to an FBI search warrant affidavit. The FBI said all seven defendants, their attorneys and the prosecutors had access to that juror’s identifying information. The FBI moved to search the defendants’ cellphones. Feeding Our Future
