Sierra Trail Camera videos

This is the one from a couple of days ago. He was definitely heading down to the garbage cans at the end of the main road. Our gate cut him off so he had to go around.

Everyone wanted that apple but no one wanted to get in the water. This went on for 2-3 hours with different possums. The apple was still there the next morning.

He had grabbed one of the apples and was looking for a safe place to eat it. He tried to climb the tree unsuccessfully and ended up going behind it to enjoy his treat.

I love how he grabs a biscuit and then quickly backs away. He was probably thinking it was a trap.

We caught this one coming and going back 2 hours later. He was probably heading to check out the garbage cans at the end of the main road.

It has been a couple of weeks since the #MosquitoFire. We are starting to see more bears pop up on the cameras. This one looks young.

Hadn't seen them for awhile - they are back.

We see him go into the cave and comes out with something in his mouth. At first we panicked that it might be the little possum but they showed up on video a couple hours later.

Baby possum having a snack...Somebody is watching me.....

This must be the year of the possum. This little guy is up by the house. So this makes at least 3 young ones on the mountain.

Just a quick snack. This is another reason they are so good for the forest. Now if it would just catch a few mice...

So it looks like the two young ones have made friends or maybe mates. Time will tell if we end up with new babies next year.

Is it for territory or the "female" in the cave?

This was at 4:44 this morning. We were wondering how soon we would be seeing animals from the fire area. #MosquitoFire

This is the second bear caught on camera. The first one was at 4:43 am. This is definitely a different bear as he is smaller. He may be another orphan from the fire. #MosquitoFire

It is obvious this is a baby without a Mama. He doesn't understand how dangerous it can be to be out in the daytime. But I guess he was hungry and grabbed a quick bite.

At least these two seem to be getting along. They are both young and from different sides of the creek.... Possibly a love story in the making.

He is all over the place. He comes in just as the large possum leaves.

Same young paid back the next evening. Enjoying a dog biscuit snack.

This is the one across the creek meeting up with the one from this side. A potential mate or just buddies. Only time will tell.

He really wanted something out of the bowl but scared himself and his buddy.

We just happened to see this little guy when we rolled into the campsite. This was on the other side so we moved the camera and it caught him as we were leaving.

A lot of smoke.

This is not snow, it is ashes from the Mosquito Fire. The little possum was happily looking for a biscuit and eventually enjoyed one.

This appears to be a young Ringtail. It strikes a pose and them moves on. We think the #Mosquito Fire has pushed it this way.
