Today, we will be doing a roleplay with a volunteer from my Discord standing in as a client, then reviewing some videos and literature on a suicide assessment approach I find fascinating and appears to be a solid assessment methodology. ========== Disclaimer: The session occurring in this video is a roleplay session to potentially identify and address a client who may be suicidal, and how I would handle a client like this. This is not a real client. The person roleplaying was given broad discretion on how the client's behaviors and actions, and is going to decide, without my knowledge, if suicidal ideations are present before the session or not. Welcome to episode 18, where we will be doing a deep dive on the topic of parental alienation syndrome. This is a theory that has developed over the last 30+ years, first mentioned by a professional named Richard A. Gardner. Today we will do a brief overview of pas, review some presentations on it, and discuss a couple scholarly articles/books on the subject as well. I look forward to this discussion today. Today comes a very personal topic, that for several years, pushed me into such a deep depression I never felt I would recover. I didn't know how to cope with such a loss and my support systems were minimal to none. Today, we grieve for the mothers and fathers whose children are not in their arms. Today, we share this topic and bring it out of the shadows, so tomorrow can start to be a little bit better. Thank you for participating in this subject today. 10-15% of pregnant women can suffer a miscarriage or stillbirth. Fathers don't often get much regarding coping mechanisms and grieving after a miscarriage, many times getting dismissed or pushed to the side for mom's grief.
