At Erfenstein and Spangenburg castles near Kaiserslautern, lore is associated with these castles, saying there was a rope bridge between these two castles to stay out of the dangerous valley! What do you think? Is it real?

The 3 castle way near ktown is a good day hike to see 3 different castles. Great time to get out and hike!

The Pula Croatia Beach Day was so fun! It's easy to get to and a lot of fun to jump off the cliffs into the deep blue water! We did some cliff jumping and swimming around. Pula should be on your summer vacation list and a beach day will be so easy to make happen. Check out the locations we made it to and happy trekking!

I went climbing up the Bled church clock tower on Bled Island. The church is the Assumption of Maria and it's located in the middle of the lake. You can pay a few euros and climb up the stairs to the top of the clock tower which still has a functioning pendulum clock and you can look out and get some views! Happy trekking! I visited the gorgeous Vintgar Gorge in Slovenia. I spent a few days in Lake Bled for summer vacation and this beautiful spot was top on the list! It's part of the Triglavski National Park and right on the eastern edge of the park. You can easily walk to and from the gorge area and it's only about 3-4 miles each way then 1 mile in the gorge. I was supposed to have a dashcam video to match this gpx trail but the dashcam video is corrupted so I'm just going to toss this Google Earth trail on the internet 🤷🏼‍♂️

We made it to Bled Island and the Assumption of Maria Church. You can ring the bell if you want because it's in the congregation area. The church is on a small island in the middle of Lake Bled and can be reached by water taxi, pletna boat, or good ole fashion swimming. No swimming attire is allowed in the church areas so have a change of clothes if you swim. Happy trekking!

I was swimming off the coast of Croatia and these guys were following me! Not sure what they are but they weren't bothered by me at all!

I made a return to Bastogne to continue visiting World War 2 memorials around this part of Belgium. I made it to the Temporary American Cemetery near Foy. I also paid my respects at the Recogne German War Cemetery and saw the way the Germans honor their soldiers. I also made it to the location of a photo in Bizory and then finally saw the WW2 Native American Memorial. There's so much to explore in this area of Belgium relating to the war. It's a really special and hallowed space and if you ever get the chance to visit this area you should see these places! Happy trekking!

I made it out for an easy hike out to Falkenstein-Waldhof near Luxembourg right on the border. It was a fun hike but the castle was closed. It was good to get out and walk and get into the woods and I'd like to go back at some point and get some drone shots but for now a quick hike to the fence is all I"ll get!

We stayed at this awesome tree house Airbnb near Bastogne. It was quaint and really made the weekend fun.

I found a small WW2 Native American Monument near Bastogne and it was a quaint spot and a nice gesture from the Belgians.

I went to the German War Cemetery to pay my respects. It always adds perspective to such a giant time in history across the entire world. You have to visit Bastogne to see all these spots!

I visited Foy near Bastogne Belgium. There was a small temporary cemetery for bodies right after the Battle of the Bulge. It was eventually ended after a few years when bodies were put into permanent cemeteries or returned back to the USA. Interesting spot to see and be!
