Self-Defense and the Rule of Law; Aftermath of the Rittenhouse Verdict
There will be quite a bit more fallout coming after the Rittenhouse trial spanning several issues, perhaps the most important being that of self-defense and the rule of law.
On this edition of Thought to Action, our Herb London Center for Policy Research panel discusses the central points of the Rittenhouse trial, how it will affect similar cases and other Second Amendment-related court proceedings in the future.
We also delve into the conduct of the prosecutors, who employed several deceptive tactics in order to sway a jury into a guilty verdict at all costs, all while the US media establishment worked hard to sway public opinion against the teen. It was not only media, but elected officials who knew nothing about the case aside what social and mainstream media would allow, injected themselves into the investigation and proceedings. This included President Joe Biden, who in a campaign video asserting, without evidence, the then-minor was a dangerous White Supremacist for political gain.
The panel for this episode:
LCPR President LTC (Ret) Tony Shaffer
LCPR Board of Directors Member Bennett McPhatter
LCPR Senior Fellow LTC (Ret, British Army) Tim Wilson
LCPR Distinguished Fellow Navy Capt (Ret) Pete O'Brien
LCPR Distinguished Fellow Bryan Griffin
Moderated by LCPR Media Director Chris Cordani

When Bureaucrats Run the US Intelligence Community
The United States of America had arguably the top Intelligence community in the world for decades. As we all know, the quality of such units' work comes down to how experienced and formidable the leadership performs and runs their respective departments. There was a time when top-notch and highly-skilled veterans of the field were promoted to run the FBI, CIA and related organizations through their own merits and solid backgrounds. During many of the more recent presidential administrations, positions atop some of the most important national security-entrusted organizations have gone to political patrons who have spent their careers as pencil-pushing bureaucrats. Reflecting that, CIA Director William Burns recently patted himself on the back, saying he was "proud" of the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal at a conference in Aspen. The result has been a continued downward spiral in the quality of our intelligence community while administration big-wigs pat themselves on the back about how woke their recruitment ads and equity programs have been.
The London Center for Policy Research takes a deep dive into how we got to this point and what needs to be done to re-solidify our intelligence agencies and restore a high-level of trust in national security in the United States.

Fighting Back Against Government and Social Media Information Manipulation
Yes, Twitter has been exposed as a manipulator of information and discourse as many have speculated, but that took a billionaire's buyout offer and delving into the company's dubious operational practices. Still, monied interests in mainstream and other social media gatekeepers continue their stranglehold on information and narratives. The battle for honest discourse, free discussion, and to end the censorship of information contradictory to dictated "conventional wisdom" needs to continue from the grass roots.
Our panel from the London Center for Policy Research tackles a question from one of our viewers about how to keep challenging the Big Tech/Government's war on objective truth and collective control of digital as well as mainstream media entities.

Challenging Political Mediocrity from the Grass Roots
American history consistently proves there are factions withing federal government which will do and say anything to remain in power while accomplishing as little as possible and real accountability as well as action comes from grass roots ideas and support. President Donald Trump's victory has inspired people who were not normally interested in politics to become more concerned with national, state, local and world issues or perhaps run for office from regional school boards to the U.S. Senate -- an example of the latter is our guest, North Carolina candidate Kenneth Harper.
Harper talks with London Center for Policy Research President Tony Shaffer about his political journey and calling to run for office, his grass roots support among people in North Carolina, obstacles thrown at him by the state's political establishment and why the candidate says the upcoming elections are extremely important as the American Left, currently in power, has been punishing political opponents, stifling free speech and using their media allies to proverbially gag any dissenting views. Harper and LTC Shaffer discuss how the American people need to hold our government and its elected officials accountable for its actions to weaken America and circumvent the Constitution.

What Trump Needs to Do to Win the Presidency in 2024
On November 15, 2022, former President Donald Trump made the announcement many expected: he will run once again for the office he held between January 2017 and January 2021.
This time around, President Trump faces new and different challenges to this endeavor. Aside from the continues assaults from the Democrats and media, the real estate mogul also needs to contend with a Republican establishment more prepared for battle, questions about his age and his own bombastic approach to campaigning, which worked in 2016 but perhaps caused some issues in 2020.
Project Sentinel President LTC Tony Shaffer and Senior Fellow Jay Homnick discuss what President Trump needs to do to win the 2024 election and after taking office.

Government Weaponization of the FBI, IRS and DOJ vs Political Opponents
Recently, the FBI's raid of President Donald Trump's home has raised serious questions about government overreach and the selective use of the FBI and other 3-letter government organizations (CIA, IRS and DOJ) against political opponents, quite similar to the old Soviet-style suppression of dissident opinions. This is a blatant abuse of power wielded by the administration establishment and Congressional Democrats, not unnoticed by potential voters, Trump's supporters and some of his longtime adversaries (including New York's former Governor Andrew Cuomo). While President Trump has excellent lawyers on his side, how could a regular citizen without those resources fight back?
On this edition of Thought to Action, we break down what happened, why and go deeper into how this is not new (remember Roger Stone? Jerome Corsi? The Obama Administration's use of the IRS to go after Conservative groups?) and seemingly embedded in the overall agenda of today's established Washington powerful. We also discuss what needs to be done to hold those who abuse their political power to stifle opposition accountable.
We also look into the real reasons behind President Biden's and Congressional Democrats' insistence on underhandedly passing the appointment of 87,000 new IRS agents in a reconciliation package.

The Stalinization of the DHS and Social Media in the US
In a season of multiple October Surprises, perhaps the biggest one is that which we knew: The Intercept revealed leaked documents out of the Department of Homeland Security proving collusion between the US Government and Social Media to suppress important information concerning COVID, the Bidens and other information challenging the established narratives of the Washington Elite
Thank you for watching this re-broadcast of our recent livestream with Project Sentinel President LTC Tony Shaffer and Sr. Fellow Jay Homnick as we discuss how the Intercept's discovery could come into play during and after the midterm elections. Also, The Atlantic is pleading for a "COVID Amnesty' for those politicians and journalists who caused devastating lockdowns, destroyed lives, separated families, forced vaccines an silenced anyone who would question them.

Elon Musk's Twitter: What Happens Next and What to Expect
Elon Musk did what he said he would do: after an unjust suspension of the Babylon Bee account over a parody story, the Tesla founder bought Twitter and will take the company private after a transition period. The reaction all around has been predictable: those on the right consider this a victory for free speech while pundits and Blue Checkmarks on the Left are lamenting the end of free speech. While it's fun to watch, the London Center for Policy Research looks into what happens next and what can we realistically expect?
On this special edition of Thought to Action, We look into:
Project Veritas' posting of audio from the Twitter "All Hands On Deck" meeting led by CEO Parag Agarwal.
The sudden change in Twitter followers for both Conservative and Liberal influencers virtually overnight leading to suspicions of engineered biased algorithms the company does not to be revealed to the public
Will there be a "mass exodus" or "insurgency of saboteurs" from some current Twitter employees?
Will Musk clean house when he takes over?
Why are left-leaning pundits going hysterical over this purchase?
The irony of Adam Schiff saying Twitter will become a haven of "disinformation" when Musk takes control.
Will Twitter allow people unjustly suspended over wrongthink be welcomed back on the Social Media platform?
Also - what will Elon Musk do with the company on the business end?

#Biden's Executive Orders and Fighting the Left's Latest Assault on the 2nd Amendment

What are Biden and the Anti-2A lobby's next moves and how do we fight them? London Center for Policy Research Fellow Tim Furey and 2nd Amendment Foundation Founder Alan Gottlieb break down Biden's orders, his nomination of David Chipman to run the ATF, potential plans to implement anti-firearms ownership laws and what we can do to fight back.
Gottlieb's 2nd Amendment Foundation has also announced it is ready to sue the Biden Administration over the unconstitutional executive orders if the need presents itself.

Holding Those Responsible For the Afghanistan Debacle Accountable - with Rep. Andy Biggs

The question, however, is: How do we hold those responsible for the Afghanistan withdrawal failure accountable -- and will anyone actually do it?
Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) talks about this with London Center for Policy Research President LTC Tony Shaffer.

The Right to Self-Defense: An Historical Perspective with Dr. Stephen Halbrook
The right to bear arms is clearly stated in the US Constitution's 2nd Amendment. In recent years, politicians on the Left have stopped at nothing to try and curtail Americans' rights to gun ownership, much like what happened in Britain.. Still, infringements on the right to self-defense have been going on by powerful rulers throughout history. Steve Halbrook of the Independent Institute and author of the book, A Right to Bear Arms, talks with London Center for Policy Research Sr. Fellow LTC (Ret, British Army) Tim Wilson about the historic perspective to defensive weapons ownership versus modern efforts to marginalize the 2nd Amendment.
LTC Wilson and Halbrook discuss how the US anti-gun politicians will grasp at proverbial straws to circumvent the Constitutional Right to bear arms, including using the Misdeal 1328 Statute of Northampton as a precedent for their claims. They also look at how gun control has affected crime activity in the UK as well as several states and municipalities in the US.

The Legacy of Sgt Woody Williams, the Last WWII Medal of Honor Recipient
On July 14, 2022, Marine Sgt. Herschel "Woody" Williams was laid to rest at the U.S. Capital as an honor to his service and heroics at Iwo Jima in World War 2. Sgt. Williams was also the last World War 2 Medial of Honor recipient. While LCPR President LTC Tony Shaffer explores Williams' life and heroics with biographer Dr. Bryan Mark Rigg, author of FLAMETHROWER, they also delve into the political controversy surrounding the Marine's well-earned award.
In addition, LTC Shaffer and Dr. Rigg go into a deeper conversation about the atrocities of the Imperial Japanese, which were arguably as bad or worse than their Nazi allies and the Soviets yet left out of the history books.

The Hard Truth About Taxation and Government Spending– with Nan Hayworth
Why is it the U.S. government continues to lie to us? Even after being caught, the embedded Washington powerful double down on the lies and misinformation hoping at least the loud gullible will believe them. It is the same with every issue, including our national budget, the debt and government wasteful spending. What about taxes? Where is our money going and does the federal government really need all the money they take from us? Why is too much going to places like Ukraine while resources here are lacking – which becomes fodder for those who want to keep raising taxes? Former U.S. Congresswoman Nan Hayworth has seen this all firsthand when representing her New York State area district in Washington and talks with host LTC Tony Shaffer about it.
Tony also offers his take on the political persecution of Donald Trump by the Biden Administration, Karine Jean-Pierre’s Hatch Act issues and more.

The Empire State Strikes Back? Gov. Hochul's New Gun Control Laws Reap More Constitutional Concerns
It did not take long for New York Governor Kathy Hochul and the state's Democratic Legislative majority to react to the Supreme Court's striking down of its unconstitutional and often abused concealed carry permit restrictions with new laws doubling down on their party's national gun control agenda. The new laws will impose a statewide database on firearms and ammunition possession, regular government checks on gun owners and a long list of "no-gun zones," where criminals know no law-abiding citizen will ever be armed. This collective and hasty response to the New York State Pistol & Rifle Association v. Bruen decision raises more Constitutional concerns; the London Center for Policy Research examines them.

Standing Up to #CRT and Other Poor #Education Policies From the Grass Roots
We have heard about parents expressing their disagreement toward school boards which endorse and implement education policies focusing more on wokeness rather than education, CRT over Mathematics and Social Promotion over preparation. While the Federal Government reacts by treating parents who dare question these poor policies as terrorists, the real solution lies in becoming active from the grass roots. One such person, Alysha Legge, decided to fight back by running for the Hillsborough County School Board in Florida. Alysha talks about this with a panel from the London Center for Policy Research including LCPR President LTC Tony Shaffer, Senior Fellow Jay Homnick and Distinguished Fellow Bryan Griffin.

Minimum Standard of Response, the Rule of Law and 2nd Amendment Suffrage
The right to self-defense was written into the Constitution, is an important American value, yet continues to be persistently fought by authoritarian politicians who want to not only disarm citizens, but impede one's right to fight back against criminal attacks. This debate came to a critical mass during and after the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. Rights to own, carry and use firearms to defend oneself are upheld by some states, but heavily restricted in states in a nation where a Constitutional right to do so is written as guaranteed. London Center for Policy Research's Second Amendment Project aims to correct this diversion from protections of our rights and ourselves.
In this edition of Thought to Action, London Center for Policy Research Senior Fellow and leader of the Second Amendment Project LTC (British Army, Ret) Tim Wilson and Distinguished Fellow Navy Capt (Ret) Pete O'Brien explore the concepts of Minimum Standard Response, the rule of law and why we need 2nd Amendment Suffrage. On the latter point, Wilson and O'Brien discuss how to correct the current state of affairs dictating although one is licensed to carry firearms in one state, they can be arrested for possessing one in another.

Debunking Myths from the Gun Control Agenda
When politicians and gun control activists prepare to take aim at the U.S. Constitution's 2nd Amendment and citizens' right to defend themselves, they often perpetuate falsehoods and set up straw men to push their collective agenda.
The 2nd Amendment is under fire from politicians who look lovingly at the gradual disarming of the public by the United Kingdom (which took nearly a century to accomplish) in hopes US citizens can be manipulated enough to allow the circumvention of the 2nd Amendment to the Bill of Rights.
In this edition of Thought to Action, the London Center for Policy Research breaks down and debunks such mythology from the political establishment Left:

Cryptocurrencies and National Security: What You Need to Know
Cryptocurrencies have grown in popularity within all generations of investors as the potential for both massive growth and financial disaster looms for this new financial sector. In recent weeks, Bitcoin (the de facto measuring stick cryptocurrency) has seen its value tumble around $10,000 in value between June 6 and 24th amid a period of high inflation and a coming recession. Still, many investors continue to take the risk in anticipation of stellar rewards.
Despite cryptocurrencies' roller coaster when it comes to value, London Center for Policy Research Fellow and Financial Expert Tim Furey discusses other issues with the Bitcoins, Dogecoins and Etheriums of the world alongside LCPR President Tony Shaffer including:
What are the national security implications of cryptocurrencies?
What's stopping governments from taking control of them?
What are the advantages and disadvantages to investing in a non-tangible currency with potentially arbitrary value?
Where is the faith in credit when it comes to cryptocurrencies?

Red Alert: China 8: Xi's Taiwan Strategy Amid the Russia-Ukraine War and US Response
While Russia continues its assault against Ukraine and the defending country keeps up its resistance, the Chinese Communist Party is watching the US and Western nations' arguably ineffective responses. President Xi has been looking to carry out his threat to annex Taiwan and perhaps sees the Biden Administration as a true, but short, window of opportunity to take the island nation under Chinese control. Still, is he going to pounce soon while nobody's looking or continue a "wait and see" approach as Putin's maneuvers and the consequences unfold?
Our panel delves into the possible scenarios:

How Should the U.S. Respond to Putin's Nuclear Threats?
While things have not gone quite as planned for Vladimir Putin in Ukraine, the Russian President has taken up to threatening the use of tactical nuclear weapons on the former Soviet Republic. If Putin actually makes good on his posturing, how should the U.S. respond and can the current administration be trusted to take the right course of action considering it could determine whether China might or might not feel free to move in on Taiwan?
