Challenging Political Mediocrity from the Grass Roots

American history consistently proves there are factions withing federal government which will do and say anything to remain in power while accomplishing as little as possible and real accountability as well as action comes from grass roots ideas and support. President Donald Trump's victory has inspired people who were not normally interested in politics to become more concerned with national, state, local and world issues or perhaps run for office from regional school boards to the U.S. Senate -- an example of the latter is our guest, North Carolina candidate Kenneth Harper.

Harper talks with London Center for Policy Research President Tony Shaffer about his political journey and calling to run for office, his grass roots support among people in North Carolina, obstacles thrown at him by the state's political establishment and why the candidate says the upcoming elections are extremely important as the American Left, currently in power, has been punishing political opponents, stifling free speech and using their media allies to proverbially gag any dissenting views. Harper and LTC Shaffer discuss how the American people need to hold our government and its elected officials accountable for its actions to weaken America and circumvent the Constitution.
