Maria Woodworth-Etter or "Mother Etter," as John G. Lake and others affectionately called her for her leadership and influence, was a dedicated, sold out, and powerful evangelist in the days before the Pentecostal movement and after. Her meetings were deemed controversial to many because of the mighty ways God moved in healing, giving vision, and people--including her--experiencing holy "trances" being caught into an experience with God while their bodies remained still and unresponsive.
She was a strong and resolute woman who overcame many things that seemed insurmountable--from experiencing much personal loss in her personal life losing 5 of her 6 children to illness, to breaking free of the false traditional ideas that "God doesn't use a woman in the same way He uses men." But God gave her an angelic vision showing her what would be the results of her ministry and she took the vision and ran with it. Her life and legacy remain, giving us a glimpse of what's possible when we lay down our expectations, assumptions, and inhibitions and run the race before us with boldness, holiness, and complete faith in our Father above and His son Jesus Christ.
I have updated some antiquated terminology for flow and translation for modern listeners worldwide. Great care has been taken to preserve the original meaning and intent of the message.

Mother Etter was an amazing woman of God who left a legacy of faith and obedience.
Yet she looked to her "tomorrow" the same way you and I do.
She had to wake up and be Christ to the world, without knowing what was ahead,
just like you and me.
As her head hit the pillow, resting in Gods arms,
and waking with the sun He provided,
she didn't know what the next day would bring.
Her "tomorrow" became the glorious past we read about,
a legacy written day by day by faith and obedience,
a legacy that will be read throughout eternity,
but lived from one day to the next.
Just like you and I.
Your legacy continues tomorrow.
Your story is being written, and you are the author,
written with the Author of life itself by your side,
Are you ready for it?
I believe you're going to make Heaven proud.
I believe you're going to make it a day to remember.
Make your future a past you can be proud of.
I look forward to reading your story someday.

1885 Newspaper article on Maria Woodworth-Etter Revival
First hand secular account of a Maria Woodworth-Etter revival outside of Muncie, Indiana in 1995. There were an estimated 20,000 attendees. This was before she was an "-Etter" and before she got the baptism of the Holy Spirit. But the signs and wonders were in effect, and the "trance evangelism" (as Dowie called it with disdain) was stirring up the faith of thousands. Read what it was like, and then pray for what we need now.

Maria Woodworth-Etter ~ The Spirit Reveals the Deep Things of God
Maria Woodworth-Etter (1844-1924) speaks on the movement of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in the world--and the deep things of God that Christ told us He would reveal. She speaks on His giving personal revelation, His miraculous power, and warns of the counterfeits--which prove that there is a real power. Some highlights include God's mysterious ways, her doctor's inspections during "trances," and the hypnotists who couldn't make heads of tails of it.
