Answering Some Basic Questions About Dentures
A lot of patients that are considering getting dentures want to know what they are and what happens when you get them.
The initial stage when you're getting dentures is to meet with your denturist or dentist and they'll talk to you about what to expect, which options you have for replacing your teeth and the style of dentures that will be suitable for you.
From there you and your dentist will plan getting dental impressions done which are molds of your missing and existing teeth. From there those molds are used to create your real dentures.

Help with my Bridges. How Do I Keep Them From Falling Out?
Dr. Pio Modi from Parkway Dentistry answers the very common question a lot of people ask concerning dental bridges. How do I keep my dental bridges from coming loose and falling out?
The answer is simple, and there are a couple ways this can be done:
1. Visiting your dentist on a regular basis. It's important that your dentist and dental hygienist look at your bridge to make sure everything is OK, that there are no cavities developing around it and most importantly, making sure that everything is intact. Regular visits to your dentist will ensure your dental bridges will always stay in place.
2. For patients that grind or clench their teeth, one thing that your dentist may recommend is a night guard. A night guard is a great way to mitigate the force when you grind or clench your teeth.
At our dental practice we also provide a procedure to balance your bite. This procedure helps balance out the force your teeth make on each other. Ask your dentist about it!
The idea is to ensure the teeth and gums around your bridges are in healthy condition and to provide balance to your bite.

What can you eat with dental implants?
What can you eat with dental implants? The short answer is that you can eat whatever food you ate before you had your implants.
Dental implants are the best option to replace your teeth and they act like natural teeth.
Implants are sturdy, durable, and the beauty of then is that when we place implants on our patients, we've restored their bite and not just their smile.
With implants you can chew comfortably without worrying that your tooth or that crown on that implant is going to break.
