But CO is more or less the same weight as the rest of the air, therefore with ventilation it will go away. This is why it is advisable to keep the tent ventilated when you cook inside. The point is that in many situations cooking in a tent is not a matter of choice. You will cook inside if you have to. Regarding the danger of fire, modern tents will not burn easily, if at all. All in all, apply a simple logic and measures and you will be fine.

I have been using the Crua Duo Dome tent for 8 months now, last summer I have been with it in the mountains, and also recently on a short winter camping trip. The tent is great and very reliable, easy to use, and I could say many other positive things about it. But in this short video I want to point out two details that I dislike. Have a look. To my surprise, they failed miserably. Pity, because they are really comfortable and warm, with a good ankle support, and incredibly affordable. They come with water repellent materials on the surface and this is basically the only waterproofness they have. But this stuff washes out quickly, and after that boots will absorb water if exposed to it for several minutes or so. You will notice this only when it is too late. They are basically useless for hiking in the rain.

Jof di Montasio (2754 m) is the Italian name for the mountain known also by its Slovenian name Montaz. The mountain is to the southwest from the small town of Tarvisio in the north-east Italy. In this page, I describe the route to the summit from the south side.

Hochfeiler or Gran Pilastro is the highest mountain in Zillertal Alps. It is located on the border between Austria and Italy. The normal route to the summit goes from the south Italian side, and this is my only reason for placing this mountain in the Italian Alps within this site.

Bivacco Battaglione Ortles (the full name sometimes seen on the Internet is Bivacco Battaglione Skiatori Ortles, or Bivacco Battaglione Monte Ortles), is at 3122 m above the sea level. This is a truly unique place in the Alps because of its history and position where it has been built.

If you are at Stelvio Pass and have a few hours, do not miss climbing Geisterspitze (Punta degli Spiriti, 3467 m) which is the highest peak that can be climbed from the pass.
