We were with friends out in the Texas Hill Country, checking out their new place to be, and took advantage of the area to fly our DJI Avata drone around the area. The dogs weren't even flustered at all by the drone flying overhead of them. PS: The friends we were guests of, are also experienced drone pilots as well.

Another Texas Hill Country video with the DJI Avata, but this time, one of the dogs came to investigate it as it landed on the pad. The other drone pilot was landing his drone on his hand while the dog watched, then the dog returns to watching the Avata land. We were out at a friend's property this weekend and decided to practice with the DJI Avata drone. Unfortunately, this tree took umbrage at the drone ducking in and out of its branches and knocked the drone out of the air. We know other Avata owners have taken that as a personal challenge and managed to damage their drone, but we've been lucky so far. We were out flying to get some B-roll footage for a client in a new Ranch Development out in the Texas Hill Country, about 75 miles NW of San Antonio, Texas. After we wrapped up, one of the other pilots spotted this guy wandering around on another lot, holding what looked like a drone controller (with cellphone) in one hand and looking up into a tree from below. Being the sucker we are, we parked and walked out to where he was standing, dodging the frequent Cactus that tried to spear thru our shoes or pants. We verified that yes, he was looking for his drone, so we returned to our SUV and got out the DJI Avata drone to fly. We had just recharged several batteries and figured that it would be more nimble when dodging those pesky grasping tree branches. It didn't take us very long to find it, once we confirmed where his last video / photo was shown as being aimed. The winds were gusting 15mph-20mph and had pushed the Holystone drone sideways into the tree. Unfortunately, the drone was about 10ft too low to pass over the top of the tree and got stuck. This is an old Oak Tree (without any yellow ribbons tied to it) and many of the limbs had moss balls or were dead. Because this is a new Ranch development with mostly empty lots, there aren't many neighbors nearby to loan you a ladder or a pole saw. The owner resorted to throwing rocks at it, trying to shift it loose. The lot has lots of rocks and Cacti, did I mention Cactus earlier? We suspect that the drone will be spending the night in the tree, or maybe the next week, until the drone owner can return with the necessary equipment. Neither of us wanted the liability to try climbing a tree, much less one that was in such bad shape. Music from Epidemic Sound. We bought the original FPV Drone LED light strip kit from @Fly High FPV but mangled it by trying to thread the light strip thru the openings on the @OriginaldoBo Ribbed Riders duct protectors that are installed on our DJI Avata drone. Apparently twisting the light strip into a pretzel shape, quickly broke the internal solder connections and killed entire sections of the lighted strip. Not nice, but it was our fault. So we went online to eBay and found a seller (https://www.ebay.com/str/hcdh ) who offered really reasonable prices on high quality COB LED light strips, in different lengths and colors. I bought the 4mm width in green, which you saw in the video, but I've since ordered Red and Orange just to try it. I found the A23 12v battery holders on eBay from this seller (https://www.ebay.com/str/martstech ). I found some small on/off micro switches on eBay from this seller (https://www.ebay.com/str/enniselectronics151 ) I found the A23 12v batteries on Amazon Prime, just search for "23A 12v Alkaline Battery" or "A23 12v Alkaline Battery". You can likely find them locally as well. On a November weekend, we explored the island of Galveston Texas. This video was taken on the beach at San Luis Pass, near the Blue Water Highway. We flew the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone in winds that were 15mph, gusting to 20mph, and it performed quite well. Perhaps it was because of the windy conditions, but the birds did not appear to be disturbed at all by this tiny drone flitting over them along the beach. This short video focuses upon the 3 abandoned graffiti covered passenger train cars sitting in a weed filled train yard, forgotten by the world. We had the DJI Mini 3 Pro drone with us that day, but this location would be ideal for flying an FPV drone (FPV= First Person View) while wearing a pair of goggles to fly thru those cars. All of the doors were open and the windows had no glass remaining in them. We spent a weekend in Galveston during November, finding scenic places to fly with another drone pilot, @LostGirl Adventures and this train yard was a location she found for us.

This is another in a series of videos recorded during a weekend of fun spent in Galveston with other drone pilots, in this case Angie from @Lostgirl Adventures . She was our tour guide on Sunday, sharing some of her favorite seashore locations with us. This location was in the south end of Galveston, not far from San Luis Pass, but on the western side of the island, away from the Gulf of Mexico. We avoided flying too low over the marsh land because there were a lot of wildlife nesting there, especially Pelicans and Seagulls. Not only did we not want to disturb their habitat, we didn't want those pelicans going after our drones. Fly responsibly. Flying FPV at night is fun, but being able to track the drone visually is awesome. @Fly High FPV has a kit you can buy from his online store to do this. I added a micro switch inline between the battery and the LED strip so that I could turn it on / off without having to remove the 12v A23 battery.

@BMack's AerialVisuals demonstrating how to properly land the DJI Air2S Drone with the 360 Camera attachment installed. The bottom lens hangs down below the landing gear to capture the bottom half of the 360 sphere image, so it will get easily scratched if not landed on a soft protective surface, or caught by hand (slightly more riskier to the pilot). Brian likes his fingers where they are attached, so he normally doesn't use the hand catch method for this. The location was on Seawall Blvd, next to Murdochs, in Galveston Island, just down from the scenic Pleasure Pier (not to be confused with Jeffery Epstein's Pleasure Island). Angie with @Lostgirl Adventures was also present, recording the landing with her GoPro camera. We used our DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone to record this landing. Music is from Epidemic Sound.
