"I was just praying to God, thank God I’m alive": Uber driver says after attack
A woman spoke out after she was attacked while driving Uber. She picked up some passengers to drive them to their location, and when they got there, they began beating her up, stealing her items, damaging her car, and left her there like a ragdoll. The woman went to the police, filed complaints, and did what she needs to do, but she also spoke out in hopes there's more that can be done to protect drivers. WHSV had more on the reported Uber attack, telling more of her story. The good thing is that Uber responded in a good way, offering to pay for 100% of the car repairs and gave a $5,000 donation to her account. Should it be more, less, or just right? Here's more of the report:
The driver, Victoria Partridge, is recovering from her injuries, but she says she feels like no one cares about her situation. She now wants help and some justice. The routine Uber drop-off turned into a brutal attack when several passengers began punching and attacking Partridge. While the attack lasted about 30 seconds, Partridge said it felt more like an hour. “I started thinking that I’m gonna die,” she said. “And when they left, I was just praying to God, thank God I’m alive.”
She’s been an Uber driver for over a year with more than 4,000 rides.
This recent one started out as a pickup on Fremont Street. When she got to the location and saw there were seven people, she told them she couldn’t take them since she has only six seatbelts in her vehicle.
“They’re like, ‘We’re not leaving,’” Partridge said. “‘We need, we need to get to our destination point. You’re our last chance please, please, please.’”
After several minutes of arguing and opening and closing the doors, Partridge said she gave up and took the seven women.
She’s thankful she caught what happened next on video.
“She started beating me up from the side,” Partridge said. “Another girl went out, opened my driver door and she started beating me up from that side.”
She said the attackers also threw her phone, stole money out of her tip jar and dented the side of her car.

Vivek Ramaswamy says one GOP candidate is like "Hillary Clinton on steroids"
Vivek Ramaswamy made bold accusations against one GOP candidate, saying they are like "Hillary Clinton on steroids." Vivek was talking directly about Nikki Haley, making accusations that she's getting wealthy while in politics - like a lot of the political nutjobs do, because why else are they really in politics? It ain't like they give a crap about us, the working man, they just want a nice easy job with a good paycheck and they sell us snake oil and promises all the time. Am I wrong tho? Nope. I'm not, politicians are usually pretty scummy people when you think about it, but that's just my opinion. Let's get back to Vivek's statements.
Vivek further accused Nikki Haley of collecting corporate stock options while she's running for president. He said, “Comes outta government drowning in personal debt, uses connections to start a military contracting firm without naming their clients... Somebody who actually then joins the board of Boeing… speaking fees, including with foreign actors: Hillary Clinton style, collecting stock options while running for US president.” Vivek continued, saying: “All of that then emerges just like Joe Biden, a multimillionaire. These are not the people, whether it's Biden or Haley. These are not the people we should want deciding whether to send your kids to die fighting somebody else's war.”
You know what? Vivek seems like the decent one in a bad bunch when you think about it.

Contractor accused of ripping people off swings at reporter, gets arrested outside of police station
This is the story of Seth Chuhran, AKA "Faux Fence Guy" and it comes from Fox 2's 'Hall of Shame.' Chuhran is seen walking out of a police station when Fox 2's reporter Rob Wolchek walks up to ask questions, putting a mic towards Chuhran so he can answer if he wants to. Instead of answering or walking away, Chuhran swings at the microphone which is pretty funny, because I'd probably do the same thing if a reporter kept putting the mic in my face. Except, Chuhran is literally in front of a police station and hitting someone's mic is probably an assault charge if the reporter wants to pursue it. Either way, the dude who swung at the mic, who's an alleged rip-off artist, gets arrested on the spot. He didn't even get in his car and he's already arrested LMAO!!! Guess he won't beat a mic again.
A report on Deadline Detroit provided some context to the story of Seth Chuhran, AKA "Faux Fence Guy." The report said:
It's the latest in the saga of Seth Chuhran, AKA "Faux Fence Guy," who some metro Detroit homeowners allege took downpayments for fence installations and never did any work. He reportedly has 10 such cases pending and was last week charged with a felony in Frasier after another complaint.
Wolchek, who first followed Chuhran around a Lowe's in 2020, pursued him again as he was bonding out of jail. The contractor told him to "Get the fuck away," smacked his microphone and took more swings when Wolchek didn't relent.
He was promptly arrested, this time for assault.
"I didn't touch him! Why are you guys doing this?" he shouted as he was handcuffed.
