Belgian Draft Horse Rescue Ep.7
Episode 7
We officially own 43 acres and are in the process of starting a farm. My whole life I have always wanted horses but Cory was unsure about having horses. After long conversations, we made a compromise and decided to rescue Belgian Draft Horses.
When we were visiting Ellie and Mabel, the rescue donkeys from Bowie Texas Livestock, they happened to just get in 6 Belgian Draft horses from an Amish farm in Kentucky. This is the start of their journey with Fletcher Farms Amarillo.

I found their posting on a Saturday. Their ship to slaughter was Monday and there was no way I was letting that happen. Welcome to the Fletcher Family, Ellie and Mabel.

Start of Barn Renovations Ep.5
Episode 5
Our house was built in 2016. The property came with a separate detached livestock barn, except it hadn't been used in several years. It needs some renovations for what we have planned.
With a donkey joining our family (currently in foster care) we needed to create some gated runs for him and any other animals we might be getting in the future. This video shows the start of those renovations, our planning and completion of the livestock run gates.
Special Thank You to...
Andrew at 4M for all the help with welding and fabrication.
287 Ag for having all the pipe and fence materials we needed.

John Deere 2022 4066R Compact Tractor Ep.3
Episode 3
We purchased a new tractor for our farm from Western Equipment. When we lived in Kentucky we owned a 2012 John Deere 4120 and it worked well for us. With lesson learned from our first tractor we decided to get a cab tractor and change some implements. With the increased amount of land compared to what we had in Kentucky we believe a cab tractor was best for our investment. Not to mention the crazy wind we can get here in Amarillo.
This video documents our experience. Kelly from Western Equipment was absolutely amazing and helped though every step of the purchase process. He went above and beyond, even answered questions for us on his days off or weekends.
Thank you Western Equipment Amarillo!

John Deere Z930M ZTrak Zero Turn Lawn Mower
