Healthy Conflict? It is a thing.
Conflict within your group?
Few people enjoy that.
Even fewer know how to turn it into an opportunity.
Healthy conflict is a thing!
Ignite the Engaged was born as an answer to a question? How do we make meetings better?
Most things that happen in a community, occur when a group of like-minded people get together to get something done.
Whether it be a local chapter of a national organization or a start-up group that comes together to create a solution for a single problem, volunteers generally get most things done.
Volunteers are solution finders. They are change makers. They are fun generators. They are the heart of wherever they are.
But sometimes, volunteers get tripped up. Bad meetings or meeting dynamics, ultimately leads to the loss of members. Loss of members eventually means the group - and all of its great intention - fades away.
Large organizations can afford training sessions to reboot their dynamic. Small, often volunteer based groups cannot.
Ignite the Engaged has been created to solve that problem. All the guided, interactive discussion without the cost.
You bring the snacks and a large screen hooked to the internet, then settle in for an afternoon or a couple of shorter evenings to discuss how your group works and what things you might consider to get better at doing what you do!

Why Does Your Group Exist?
When was the last time your group really discussed why it exists? Why do you meet? What is your purpose? Have your meetings become passion-free zones?

Will this work for Elected Boards?
Elected Boards - even municipal councils - often face the exact same problems as volunteer organizations. Meetings that go on forever, focus frequently lost, competing personalities and egos. Without a large staff to assist, many elected boards get bogged down and are then seen as ineffectual. No one wants that. That is not why you let your name stand. You are a doer. You, and everyone around your table wants to get things done. Maybe it is time to take some time to create a framework around conflict, roles, responsibilities and goals. Maybe it is time for your group to ignite in a way which brings you each the satisfaction in knowing you are truly acting on behalf of those who trusted you to do so.

Welcome to Ignite the Engaged!
This affordable, accessible, self-delivered course is intended to help volunteer groups and associations get on track in casual yet effective way.
Delivered using a module-based course platform, each group is led through a series of topics and questions which will help them understand dynamics specific to their group, identify areas of conflict or concern, and work towards uniting energies to create common purpose and passion moving forward.
Each module is introduced with a short video which relates to a set of pdf worksheets (the group will need to print a set for each participant). There are no exams nor quizzes. The worksheets and videos guide the discussions (suggested times are included) and help create a coherent, focused, united purpose and passion - unique to and for each group.
The course can be completed in about three hours. But some groups may choose to take more or less time. The course can be delivered over more than one meeting time, and content can be rewatched or paused as needed.
