Topics covered by Banducci's questions: choosing bathroom, biological men on women sports teams, BLM protests on campus, and CRT being taught on campus. Nick Swayze says that he thinks a bigger deal is made about gender issues than should be. Folks will figure it out the gender stuff. He said in terms of BLM, that he would prefer no protests on campus. Trustee Mckenzie asked Swayze to answer the critical race theory question in more detail. First Swayze said, "It is a very nuanced theory that I doubt anyone here can identify what it is. Later he goes on to say that critical race theory is loosely defined. This is a clip from a KC Dems zoom meeting in the summer of 2020. Kootenai County Commissioner Chris Fillios discusses his views on June 6th, 2020. (Know locally as Gun d'Alene.) Fillios says that he doesn't believe antifa was in Coeur d'Alene or Kootenai County. He thinks it was a rumor done by the far right so they would have an excuse to show up with their guns. He also asks - "Why did the Coeur d'Alene PD allow the people with guns to be there?" Personally, I think his assumption is really cute. Fillios said one of his fellow commissioners was down there. During the Bonner County Commissioner weekly business meeting (1/26/23) it appears that Commissioner Bradshaw may have been a part of violating Idaho Open Meeting Law for years. Idaho Statue 74-206 goes over the very few things that should be discussed in executive session. Board policy is not one of them. The man in this video is Mike Satz a registered lobbyist who works for the Idaho 97 Project. He is a registered Democrat. He states that it is not an accident that the Democrats are targeting Kootenai County. He claims that the Kootenai GOP uses their money to support Idaho Freedom Foundation things across the state. I looked on the Secretary of State Election finance portal. I did not find anything to back up his claims. I would love to know who their support base is. The Kootenai County Republican Central Committee's donations and expenditures can be seen on the Idaho Secretary of State's webpage. I was sent this clip from the North Idaho College Trustee Candidates debate sponsored by the joint chambers of commerce. Am I misinterpreting something? It seems like Zimmerman got the questions ahead of time. Please watch the video and comment with your opinion. I asked all three candidates that did not attended the debate if they RSVP'd or just didn't respond. All three said they told the organizers ahead of time that they wouldn't be able to attend.
