Fast forward to about 2 years after we started the build and see what life is like outside the build

We have 4 days and 28hours of work time available to us to frame up this additional 300sqft of house. It's going to be a ton of work for us novices but we are ready to make it happen!

Today we are installing skylights in our self-built home!

The goal today is to finish sheathing our off grid, self-built home.

Now that the subfloor is down we are able to raise the A's to get our A-Frame home framed up. We are using 2x12x24s that are difficult to lift but with the two of us working together we can get it done!

We previously cleared the land for our homesite, poured the concrete piers, installed the floor joists and today we are laying the subfloor. This is the beginning of our self-built home!
