PROPER British Food and Drink!
Come with us as we visit Torre Cider Farm in Somerset!
We started the day in our lovely cabin in Porlock Weir, Somerset, where we were invited to stay by The Best of Exmoor (*https://www.thebestofexmoor.co.uk/274.html and use the code lozsleisure to get £30 off any holiday cottage stay!). We then said goodbye to the lovely cabin and started making our way back home (via Torre Cider Farm).
Torre Cider Farm is a family-run cider farm with a relaxing, sociable atmosphere in which to enjoy an authentic Somerset craft cider made from our own, onsite, heritage orchard and apples. Their farmhouse kitchen serves only the best locally-sourced produce from local suppliers. Their apple juice and cider are all pressed and fermented on site using wild yeast and the juice from an amazing selection of heritage Somerset and Devon apples.
We got ourselves a half pint of cider each as we waited for the bbq pulled pork to be ready. They have over 20 different varieties of apple trees within their orchard, all looked after with no pesticides or chemicals used in their growth or production methods. They even have Their own bees that ensure great pollination every year and a top crop of cider apples which all helps to ensure they are able to produce the best tasting cider.
When the bbq was ready, we got two deliciously smoky pulled pork rolls and ate them whilst live music was performed, kids played, and families enjoyed the atmosphere! Before continuing our journey home, we went for a stroll in the orchard and checked out the homes for sprites!

A Day in Ilfracombe, Devon: English Beach, Crabbing & Lobster Roll
Come with us as we explore the lovely town of Ilfracombe in Devon!
We started the day in our lovely cabin in Porlock Weir, Somerset, where we were invited to stay by The Best of Exmoor (*https://www.thebestofexmoor.co.uk/274.html and use the code lozsleisure to get £30 off any holiday cottage stay!). We then headed out on a walk into a rather grey day.
We drove an hour or so along the coast from Porlock Weir into Devon and parked up at the waterfront in Ilfracombe. Here we saw the mighty, eccentric Damien Hirst statue, Verity, which really "peels back the layers" of what it means to be a human.
Some wet weather rolled in so we headed for a coffee and then for some seafood at Slice of Devon. We went for a lobster roll, crab fries and a cone of calamari. The sun even came out while we ate it (and I got some awesome drone shots of Ilfracombe).
Nevertheless, the sun went into hiding again after a few minutes and we spent some time shopping in the local shops and picked up two crabbing lines and a bucket. Hannah expertly attached the crabbing nets to the lines and lost a quick round of rock, paper, scissors, meaning she had to grab the extremely pungent salted squid and put it in as bait. Whether it was our lack of skill, the bait, or the crabs simply not being hungry, we failed to get any into out newly-bought bucket and eventually gave up to go to Tunnels Beaches.
We didn't realise that you had to pay but we still went in (£7 for two adults) and went through the tunnels that were carved in 1823! There was lots of historical information and even a wedding venue overlooking one of the hidden beaches. As we (unfortunately) went at high tide, we couldn't see the tidal bathing / rock pools, but we did have a practically private beach!
We drove back to Porlock Weir and hoped for better luck with the crabs, but there we had no luck either, so Hannah suggested admitting defeat and heading to the pub for a pint - to which I couldn't say no!

RIDICULOUSLY Good Food in an Adorable English Village (A Day In Porlock, Somerset)
Come with us as we explore the lovely village of Porlock in Somerset and then have an incredible meal in Porlock Weir.
The weather didn't deter us and we were very happy to find a woodland trail that led us from Porlock Weir to Porlock. It took us about an hour to do the walk that most people would do in half the time because we stopped to take pictures and were in no particular rush.
When we arrived in Porlock, we found a beautiful gallery in an old phone box and Hannah's eye was caught by some cakes in the window of the Whortleberry Tearoom. First, we decided to have a look around the village, taking in the thatched cottages, local shops and a gallery. The rain started to spit so we decided to head back to the Whortleberry Tearoom to get a drink and a snack.
With the rain not relenting, we decided to carry on our circular walk and carried on back down the road for a short while. We saw some adorable lambs before turning down a lane to reach Porlock Marsh. For a season back in the early 20th century, the area was used as a golf course (with some pretty impressive views, I imagine!) but the regular flooding put an end to the establishment rather quickly. Since then, nature has been allowed to take over and we spotted some birdlife making the most of it.
We ended up down in Porlock Weir, where we had a little nose around on the beach and in another shop, before calling it quits and heading back to our cabin for a few hours.
After some chill time watching the birds and relaxing, it was time for us to head back into Porlock Weir to a fantastic restaurant (and boutique hotel) called Locanda on the Weir. Here we had a phenomenal, ridiculously tasty 5-course meal that we thoroughly enjoyed.

Most Picturesque English Village: Selworthy (Exmoor, Somerset)
Come with us as we explore the charming village of Selworthy in Somerset, nestled in the expansive Holnicote Estate. With hikes to the coast and views over vast swathes of Exmoor from Selworthy Beacon, this picturesque English village is not to be missed!
We started the day in our lovely cabin in Porlock Weir, Somerset, where we were invited to stay by The Best of Exmoor (*https://www.thebestofexmoor.co.uk/274.html and use the code lozsleisure to get £30 off any holiday cottage stay!). After a lovely morning watching the birds (with the birdfeed we picked up in Minehead), we drove for around 15 minutes to Selworthy.
We parked up in the National Trust car park, which was just past the church and had a fee of £1 in an honesty box. We first headed into the medieval church but unfortunately it was closed for repairs. Nonetheless, we stood just inside its main doors and enjoyed the glorious views it provides over Exmoor. We then wandered down towards the village green to have our first view of a thatched roof of one of the cottages.
Before we went for a cream tea it was time to go on a short hike up to Selworthy Beacon. This took us through some beautiful woodland with ridiculously tall trees. As we came out of the woodland we made our way to Bury Castle, where an iron age hillfort used to stand. We then cut across some land towards the coast where we had views down over Bossington and Porlock and could even see where we were staying!
We carried on the walk through the gorse and along to Selworthy Beacon, which had views of the surrounding moorland and over the Bristol channel all the way to Wales.
We then completed our loop back to Selworthy (with a sandwich stop en route) and walked around the village green surrounded by picturesque thatched cottages. Periwinkle Cottage is also a tearoom so we stopped here in the glorious sunshine for a cream tea, where we were fortunate enough to try whortleberry jam, local to the region.
After a brilliant time exploring Selworthy, we headed down to Bossington and made our way to the beach. It was super blustery but gave us the opportunity to have a look at the World War Two defensive structures built here and check out an old kiln. We then headed back to Porlock Weir for dinner in the town at The Bottom Ship.

England's Little Switzerland: Lynton, Lynmouth and Valley of Rocks (Exmoor National Park)
Come with us as we find England's 'Little Switzerland' in North Devon! First see the victorian seaside resort of Lynton and Lynmouth before seeing the feral goats at the Valley if Rocks.
We started the day in our lovely cabin in Porlock Weir, Somerset, where we were invited to stay by The Best of Exmoor (*https://www.thebestofexmoor.co.uk/274.html and use the code lozsleisure to get £30 off any holiday cottage stay!). After a lovely coffee with breakfast and a game of cards, we drove for around 30 minutes to Lynmouth.
We parked up for 6 hours (which cost £9) and then had a wander around the shops and Maurice Bishop's art gallery, where we lucky enough to see Maurice at work and have a little chat. We took in the scenery of 'Little Switzerland' and thought we could tell why it had earned itself that little nickname. Whilst it wasn't exactly similar... it's probably the closest we have here in England!
We grabbed a coffee down in Lynmouth before heading to the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway. The Cliff Railway is one of only three fully water-powered cliff railways in the word (there's another in Portugal and one in Switzerland, but Devon's is the steepest!) and we had a great ride up to Lynton. The journey was surprisingly fast and a little bumpy.
At the top we stopped for a picnic with a view and then took a short walk to the Valley of Rocks, where we saw the iconic feral goats that have inhabited this area for hundreds of years. We walked past the cricket pitch with phenomenal views of the valley, thought to have been carved out by the river Lyn (either as its earlier route, or when it needed to divert during the last ice age - the experts aren't sure). The valley truly is a geological marvel, and it was wonderful to think that we were actually in Devon with such striking scenery!
To get back to Lynton we took the coastal path with dramatic, sweeping views and saw some beautiful insects and, as we came back into the wooded area, some birds. It's possible to spot peregrine falcons here if you're lucky, but we didn't see them; at least we saw the goats!
After a brilliant day exploring, we made our way back into town where we got back on the Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway and experienced descending to Exmouth.

England's Hidden Jurassic Park Beach in Devon! 🏖️ (UK Travel)
Come with us as we find England's hidden Jurassic Park Beach in North Devon! This place was truly a UK hidden gem and we expected it to be so busy when we visited on a bank holiday, but hardly anyone was there!
We started the day in our lovely cabin in Porlock Weir, Somerset, where we were invited to stay by The Best of Exmoor (*https://www.thebestofexmoor.co.uk/274.html and use the code lozsleisure to get £30 off any holiday cottage stay!). After a lovely coffee and breakfast watching the birds visit the garden, the weather had cleared a little and looking brighter so we decided it was the beast day to head to the beach. 🏖️
We jumped in the car and drove through nearby Porlock village and up the steepest A road in England, Porlock Hill. We took a wrong turn so instead of going the faster route closer to the coast we ended up on a (mainly single track) road all the way through the centre of Exmoor National Park. Whilst this took us a little longer, we were rewarded with views of cute bridges, highland cows and even a herd of deer running through the low clouds shrouding the moors.
We made it back to the boundary of Exmoor National Park and parked up in Watermouth, where we paid £7 to park for the day and refuelled with a coffee and snack in the Storm in a Teacup Cafe. ☕️ After flying the drone and finishing our food, we headed out on the 15(ish) minute walk to the beach we were really excited to see, Broadsands Beach (not to be confused with the Broadsands Beach in South Devon near Paignton!).
We walked briefly on the road before turning off towards the coastal path, heading through a campsite with glorious sea views and a PPB (perfectly-placed bench) where we had our first view of Broadsands Beach. WOW! It was an uphill climb for a few minutes followed by a wooded walk along the path flanked by fragrant wild garlic. 🧄
A few hundred metres further along we turned off the path and were about to start the descent down 200+ steps when we noticed a sign warning us of adders! 🐍 With our eyes peeled, we made our way down carefully and were greeted with the incredible Broadsands Beach, which felt like we were in a Jurassic Park set! What's even more - although it was a bank holiday, there were hardly any other people there so it felt like a private beach. Winning!
After a few hours sunbathing, paddling, waving at tour boats and exploring, the tide came in and clouds blew over so we decided it was time to head back and go for dinner somewhere. A family we had met on the beach lived in nearby Combe Martin and recommended a chippy there, so we drove the five minutes and grabbed fish and chips to have on the beach as the sun went down.
A truly great day!

What to do in Zurich and St Moritz, Switzerland in a day 🇨🇭 Swiss Travel
St. Moritz - Zurich, Switzerland. Join us as we enjoy our last day in Switzerland!
We started the day with a walk around Lake Saint Moritz in the glorious sunshine. Hannah told me about some of the hotels (and one that burned down many years ago) before we headed back to the apartment to pack our things up. Nonna and Grandpa gave us a lift to the station where we got a train to Chur and then onto Zurich. We spent the afternoon getting coffee, spending time by the river and shopping in the market, before we headed back through the gorgeous streets of the city to get a train back to the airport.
What a brilliant trip!

Hiking in Switzerland is BEAUTIFUL 🇨🇭 St Moritz day trip to Bever Valley
Bever, Engadin, Switzerland: visiting the stunning valley where Hannah spent a lot of time growing up.
Join us as we go on a day trip from St Moritz to the glorious Bever Valley. We started the day in Bever town and made our way along the trail up the valley. We got a lovely view of the town before heading past a beekeeper and stopping for a tasty packed lunch by the river. We then made our way along the so-called Fairytale Trail due to the wooden carvings by artists related to different fairytales. As we made our way back along the river to Bever, we became friends with local cows and horses, before finishing up with a beer in town!

Best of Switzerland 🇨🇭 Morteratsch, Bernina (incredible day trip from St Moritz)
Morteratsch, Pontresina, Switzerland: the largest glacier by area in the Bernina Range of the Bündner Alps in Switzerland.
Join us as we go on a day trip from St Moritz to the incredible Morteratsch Glacier. We started the day driving from St Moritz to the car park near some brilliant waterfalls where we did a short walk with Hannah's Nonna and Grandpa.
We then went to Alp-Schaukäserei Morteratsch for a delicious lunch. Here, cheese and curd are made over an open fire. You can watch them being made by hand the traditional way, as well as taste the many varieties produced at the cheese buffet.
After food, we said goodbye to Nonna and Grandpa and hiked to get a view of the glacier. Along the hike there are a number of signs to highlight just how far the glacier has retreated in the past 150 years. We were really fortunate with gloriously blue sunny skies and loved walking alongside the glacial stream.
We got a great view of the glacier in the distance (and some falling rocks) before turning around and heading back to where we came from. When we reached the train station, we bought our tickets back to St Moritz and enjoyed the train journey. By the time we got back, the wind had picked up so we enjoyed a rather blustery walk alongside Lake St Moritz!

Is this the Most Beautiful Swiss Valley? 🇨🇭 Engadin, Switzerland
Falling in love with this Swiss valley! Our hike through Val Fex, Engadin Switzerland!
Our hike started with Nonna and Grandpa in the beautiful town of Sils im Engadin, where we saw the horse drawn carriages and Nietzsche's house from when he lived there. We continued up until we came across an awe-inspiring waterfall, where we said goodbye to Nonna and Grandpa.
From this point, we carried on walking through a wooded area and came across some beautiful flowers and buildings. We crossed over the river and walked through a village area surrounded by wildflowers. Just past the village area we came up to Hotel Sonne Fex, where Hannah's parents stayed on their honeymoon, and we stopped for a drink in the sun.
As we left the hotel to continue our walk up the valley, the clouds darkened and we thought we were in for a drenching. The nearby mountains disappeared in a haze and we made sure not to hike too far away from a nearby woodland area we could shelter in. Miraculously though, the gloomy skies seemed to move all around us and the rain missed us entirely, so we pushed on until we reached a nice farm area to sit and enjoy the valley views from.
On the way back, we looped round a different way and passed right by the waterfall and through the gorge close to Sils. We met Nonna and Grandpa, who kindly returned to collect us, and headed back to St Moritz for the evening.

EPIC 10,000 Foot Swiss Mountain Hike (You Won't Believe It)
Hiking the Alps, Switzerland - climbing Piz Languard near Pontresina and St. Moritz, Engadin, Switzerland! An out of this world hike, reaching nearly 11,000 feet!
Nonna and Grandpa kindly gave us another lift to this hike, where we got the chairlift halfway up the mountain. We saw our route on the map and heard some of the local wildlife - marmots. We also had our eyes peeled for steinbock, or alpine ibex, which are known to live on the Piz Languard and all around Pontresina and the Engadin region of Switzerland.
The ascent afforded us brilliant views and the opportunity to see St Moritz and further from a great vantage point. We also filled our bottles with some delicious (and cold!) water from the mountain. We needed it as the path got steeper and we made our way up the scree to the hut just 60m below the summit. Here we stopped for lunch and took in the beautiful scenery.
Hannah was feeling the altitude, having already climbed to way past 3,000 metres (10,000+ feet) above sea level so she decided she would stay at the hut - which was unfortunately not open. I pushed on and made it to the top of Piz Languard, one of the highest summits of the Livigno Alps and the highest summit of the range that lies west of the Livigno Pass.
Having seen a storm was headed our way, Hannah hurried us down the mountain and we just got caught in the start of the rain when we got back on the chairlift. Just before this, however, we managed to glimpse a few marmots on the mountainside - although there were no steinbock in sight on this day!

Hiking in the Swiss Alps 🇨🇭 WOW!
Come with us as we hike in the incredible Swiss Alps - climbing Piz Lunghin near Maloja and St. Moritz! The views were incredible but it wasn't all plain sailing...
After breakfast with Nonna and Grandpa, they kindly offered to give us a lift to Maloja, where we drove through the town and went to a viewpoint overlooking the route down into Italy: the Maloja Pass. We then drove to a car park by the side of the road where we said our goodbyes and began the hike.
The initial ascent through the trees was a beautiful start to our first hike together in the Swiss Alps and when we came to a clearing we had phenomenal views over the entire region, Silsersee glistening in the sun. After a short break on a perfectly-placed bench, we continued the climb whilst admiring the pretty "alp roses" - not actually a rose at all but a Rhododendron. On a hill nearby Maloja, we spotted Belvedere Tower, the deceptively medieval-looking building that was dreamt up in the 19th century by a Belgian count wishing to attract wealthy aristocrats to the town. Although he didn't live to see it completed (and the adjacent hotel is now in disrepair), the tower has become the symbol of Maloja. We also glimpsed the Albigna Dam further up the valley, which creates clean electricity that's sent to Zurich. It's been in operation since 1959 and is 115m tall and 759m long!
We pushed on as the gradient got steeper and were pleasantly surprised to end up walking alongside the powerful 120-metre Innfall, which I gladly flew my drone over. We eventually reached its source, Lunghinsee (Lunghin Lake), where we stopped for a delicious lunch kindly prepared for us by Nonna.
After lunch we pushed on in an attempt to summit Piz Lunghin, which is considered the "roof of Europe" as the peak is nearby the triple watershed of the Lunghin pass and water running off this mountain can head towards the Mediterranean, the North Sea and the Black Sea (by the rivers Po, Rhein, and Danube).
Unfortunately, the weather wasn't on our side and some clouds rolled in, reducing visibility massively. We made the decision not to push on and headed back down the mountain. Of course, about an hour later the peak was standing majestically against of perfectly blue sky, with not a cloud in sight! We'll summit on our next visit...!
We made our way back down to the town of Maloja with some of the most fabulous views of the valley with the alp roses in the foreground, where Nonna and Grandpa met us with a couple of drinks in the car. How lucky we felt!

Unreal Swiss Train Through Alps! 🇨🇭 Zurich to St Moritz, Switzerland (Glacier Express Route)
Come with us as we travel to stunning St. Moritz in Switzerland, from London via Zurich! The weather was certainly on our side as we did the most beautiful train journey ever!
It was an early start to the day to catch our flight from London Heathrow to Zurich. From here we had to catch a train but fortunately had a few minutes to head out into the sun and enjoy sitting by the lake. We then headed back into the station where we picked up some lunch and found the train to Chur.
This first leg of the journey was gorgeous as we left Zurich and travelled along the sides of mountain-flanked lakes. In Chur, we had six minutes to transfer to our next train to St. Moritz, which follows the same route as the Glacier Express (we booked onto the local train which meant we had smaller windows but it was far cheaper!). We joined the UNESCO World Heritage section of the track and were stunned as we saw the length of valleys as we crossed on viaducts. The train also had a speaker system which gave us information on the route and the features we could see.
In St. Moritz, Hannah's Nonna and Grandpa were waiting for us on the platform and we had a lovely afternoon walking to the lake and round some of town. Nonna gave us some delicious cake and a wonderful spread and then we got a reasonably early night before our planned day of hiking. See you in the next vlog for the most beautiful views!
Stay tuned for more vlogs!

Off Grid Tiny House near London | Unplugged Digital Detox
Want to see inside our off grid tiny house cabin near London? Come with us for a weekend away near London in this Unplugged digital detox cabin. Get the full tour of this lovely tiny home and see what our weekend experience is like with our phones locked away.
Want more information? Click here ➡️ https://bit.ly/3cchcS5
We arrived at around 7pm on Thursday night and settled in to our off grid tiny house cabin, Koya. We enjoyed a couple of beers with expansive views and listened to the tapes left for us.
The following day we had a relaxed morning (as they all were at the cabin!) before heading out to collect some freshly-laid eggs. We cooked up a delicious brunch and then spent some time reading, journalling, and simply enjoying each others' company. I give you a full tour of the cabin, from the area it's situated in to the bedroom and living area and bathroom. After a tea and treat, we went on a short walk around the local area before cooking and playing scrabble.
On Saturday, we woke up to the sunniest day of our trip and enjoyed a coffee looking out over the fields from the comfort of our bed. One of our favourite things about Koya was definitely the huge window with the gorgeous view! We went on a slightly longer walk and loved the sunny weather, enjoying views of deer, butterflies, dragonflies and ending up at a small fishing lake where we ate our lunch. We had an "indoor barbecue" (as the weather has been so dry that the farmer requested no outdoor fires on the land the cabin is on) and enjoyed hot dogs and a nice sunset - and I even saw a hare! The evening was spent playing cards and reading before we settled in for our final night.
On our last morning, we treated ourselves to a fry up and then spoke about the experience as a whole. Thanks to Unplugged for inviting us to stay in Koya!

AMAZING Waterfall in Wales! 🏴 You Must Visit Pistyll Rhaeadr (UK Travel Gems)
Come with us as we explore Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, Wales. About 16 miles west of Oswestry, just inside Wales this UK hidden gem is well worth a visit! Even better: it's less than two hours from Birmingham!
Although it's commonly referred to as the tallest waterfall in Wales or the tallest waterfall in Britain, it actually isn't by either total height or single-drop height. Nonetheless it's gorgeous and not to be missed!
We drove for around 35-40 minutes from the beautiful cottage (Ty Isaf, just outside Welshpool in a village called Dolanog - link below) we'd been staying in with views of horses, lambs and gorgeous Welsh countryside.
We parked in the car park and paid £5 for the whole day. Also be aware that there's a 40p charge to use the toilet. You can see the waterfall from the base and also walk to the top for some incredible views of the Berwyn mountains and beyond. You can paddle at both stops, and we saw a lot of dogs enjoying the cool water!
Of course, you know I love flying the drone to get some aerials footage of Wales, and this trip to Pistyll Rhaeadr was no different. Let me know if you like the drone shots in the comments!

The BEAUTIFUL Welsh Coast 🏴 Barmouth, the Seaside Town of North Wales & Snowdonia
Come with us as we explore Barmouth (Welsh: Abermaw; Y Bermo), a seaside town and community in the county of Gwynedd, north Wales. Find out the all of the best things to do in Barmouth, including the famous viaduct crossing the estuary of the Afon Mawddach with views of Cardigan Bay.
We drove for around an hour from our beautiful cottage (Ty Isaf, just outside Welshpool in a village called Dolanog - link below) with views of horses, lambs and gorgeous Welsh countryside.
We parked in the car park next to Barmouth Beach and visited, 'Son of Dum Dum', the Moai carving on the beach. After seeing the famous viaduct, Barmouth Bridge, I flew the drone to get some areial shots of Barmouth.
The sun came out as we explored the town and there was even a troop of vespas passing through. We stopped for fish and chips (apparently at the best shop in Wales) and ate them by the beach. Next up were the amusements, an old British seaside classic, where we were desperate to win some prizes on the 2p machines. We were successful!
After all of the excitement, we had an ice cream and relaxed on the beach, before heading off for a walk along the 820-metre Barmouth Bridge, one of the oldest timer viaducts still in use in Britain today. On the other side we walked some of the Mawddach Trail and enjoyed exploring RSPB Arthog Bog. To get back to town, we caught the local coastal train for a total of £1.55 and about a 5-minute journey.
We hadn't booked anywhere to eat and as it was a busy, bright Saturday we couldn't get into any of the places we'd saved on our Google Maps list, so we made do with a takeaway pint and views over the estuary. Super luckily, we even saw an oystercatcher foraging for its dinner. We got hold of a bad of crisps and watched the sun go down after a beautiful day in Barmouth.

Wild Swimming & Hiking in Snowdonia Wales 🏴 Cadair Idris & Llyn Cau
We went wild swimming and hiking in Snowdonia in APRIL. High winds and super cold water made it a challenge but one we were very glad to have embarked on. Cadair Idris and Llyn Cau get a huge thumbs up from us.
We started our day in our beautiful cottage (Ty Isaf, just outside Welshpool in a village called Dolanog - link below) with views of horses, lambs and gorgeous Welsh countryside. After a coffee and some breakfast we said hello to the horses and drove 45 minutes to Dol Idris, the car park for Cadair Idris. On the way, two fighter jets passed overhead!
We paid £6 to park for the whole day and began the hike up. Most people do the circular route clockwise, but after some research, Hannah said it would be best to go anti-clockwise. We got warm whilst we were shielded from the wind by the trees but before long we were above the tree line and getting buffeted by really strong winds. We opted to cut a small amount from the route to give us some shelter from the wind and got our first views of the mountain lake we planned to swim in, Llyn Cau. We then rejoined our original route a little later.
The ridge to Cadair Idris was stunning and the views when we reached the trig point were absolutely phenomenal, with views of the sea, Barmouth, and beyond! After a short rest we carried on towards Craig Lwyd but stopped once more to have our lunch. From then on, it was a little further up and then down in yet more wind.
As we reached the glorious Llyn Cau the sun came out and Hannah was all for taking a dip, so we quickly got changed and jumped in. It was definitely a couple of "dips" rather than "swims" but hey, we went in!
From there it was about 45 minutes or so back to the car, where we were pleased to kick our boots off and get en route to a pub for a well-deserved pint and some pub grub. We finished the evening off back at Ty Isaf, where we fell asleep on the sofa by the fire!

What to do in Worcester England in a Day | UK Travel Vlog
Spending a day in Worcester? Watch this video to see some of the best things to do in this pretty English cathedral city, including: the best places to eat and drink, Worcester Cathedral (obviously!), Edward Elgar's statue, the River Severn and "Fish Pass".
We started our day with the drive from Birmingham to Worcester (Worcestershire), which took us 45 minutes or so. We parked in the Cattle Market Car Park and paid on our phone for our stay.
We then made our way to Wayland's Yard, where Hannah's friend, Ione, works, for a delicious brunch and some coffees to kickstart our day. If your looking for a cafe to drink and eat at in Worcester, THIS is the place!
After fuelling up we visited a lot of the charity shops about town and made just one purchase (which might be a record for us!). We then made our way to the market and checked out the statue of famous English composer, Edward Elgar, who grew up in Worcester in the 19th century. After looking through the window of a beautiful antiques shop we were right next to Worcester Cathedral just as it started to rain - perfect timing! We paid the suggested donation and wandered around, spending some time in the 11th-century Norman crypt.
When the weather had cleared, we headed back out for a walk along the River Severn, where we saw some rowers, a flamingo, and had views of the Malvern Hills. We then made our way past the weir and "Fish Pass", a feat of engineering to enable the fish to swim back upstream.
We ended our day in Worcester in Impasto with some drinks, tasty Nduja pate and then pizzas! Highly recommended!

Best Peak District Walks: Hiking The Dragon's Back, Castleton (Chrome Hill and Park House Hill)
One of the best walks in the UK: The Dragon's Back (Chrome Hill and Park House Hill), near Castleton in the Peak District, England.
We parked up in a place called Hollinsclough (for free!) and headed out on our walk. As it was January it was frosty underfoot but the sun did peek out a few times. When we got to Chrome Hill it was in the clouds but and looking really cool and mystical. We made our way up and it was a little slippery but nothing we couldn't handle! At the top we took in the scenery as the clouds began to clear and had a very chilly picnic.
After refuelling and some epic drone flights, we made our way down from the top of Chrome Hill towards Park House Hill. The sun came out once more and we were a happy group of hikers. It was a little bit of a scramble up to the top of Parkhouse Hill and unfortunately on the way up we felt the last of the sun for the day but it was still light and a gorgeous view.
We earned our pub dinner at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese in Castleton before saying goodbye and heading home for a great night's sleep!
Stay tuned for more vlogs!

Algarve Portugal by Drone 🇵🇹 4K Aerial Footage
The Algarve, Portugal’s southernmost region, is known for its rugged coastline and whitewashed fishing villages perched on low cliffs overlooking sandy coves.
Lagos and Faro sit on the coast and provide gateways to the region, which consists of picturesque towns such as Carvoeiro, Ferragudo and Portimão. Famous natural landmarks include Benagil Cave, Ponte da Piedade and Praia da Marinha. Further inland, the Monchique Massif forms the highest elevation of the Algarve (902m).
Here is a selection of my favourite drone shots of the Algarve, Portugal, in 4K.

What to do in Faro Portugal in a Day 🇵🇹 Algarve Travel Guide
Spending a day in Faro, the capital of the Algarve, Portugal. Making sure to get our last pastel de nata fix, going to the fairground that was on, checking out the historical architecture, and visiting Ria Formosa.
We headed away from the beautiful town of Carvoeiro and made our way back to Faro before our flight home to England. First stop was to a cafe to get a coffee and pastéis de nata. After this we headed to check out the architecture and history of the city but got caught in a market/funfair-type set up - we're still unsure if this happens regularly or if we just turned up on the right day!
For what we had left of our day before the flight we went to Ria Formosa, the wetlands near to Faro. Ria Formosa is also a designated Natural Park of over 170 km² and a stopping place for hundreds of different birds during the spring and autumn migratory periods.
After this we caught our flight back and made it back home safe and sound after a wonderful trip!
