Syria | U.S. Airstrikes At Iran Bases In Syria May Fuel Wider Conflicts In Middle East | N18V
The US has carried out air strikes against two weapons and ammunition storage facilities in eastern Syria used by Iran's Revolutionary Guards.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said the strikes were in response to recent attacks on US bases in Iraq and Syria by Iranian-backed militia groups.
The US strikes were "separate and distinct from the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas," he said in a statement.
Iran did not immediately comment.

Israel-Hamas conflict heats up in Gaza City, accelerating the exodus of Palestinians to the south
Palestinians living in the heart of Gaza’s largest city said Wednesday they could see and hear Israeli ground forces closing in from multiple directions, accelerating the exodus of thousands of civilians as food and water become scarce and urban fighting between Israel and Hamas heats up.
The Israeli army has not given specifics on troop movements as it presses its ground assault, vowing to crush Hamas after its deadly Oct. 7 assault inside Israel. But residents said Israeli forces had moved into inner neighborhoods of Gaza City amid intense bombardment all around the surrounding north.
Clashes took place within a kilometer (0.6 miles) of the territory's largest hospital, Shifa, which has become a focal point in the war. The Israeli military says Hamas’ main command center is located in and under the hospital complex and that senior leaders of the group are hiding there, using the facility as a shield.

What Was Earth Like Before the Dinosaurs?
#dinosaurs #whatif #prehistoric
Millions of years ago, Earth looked very different. All the continents were fused into one, teeming with life that was both beautiful and terrifying. When you think of prehistoric times, you might picture a T. rex rampaging through the jungle with its razor-sharp teeth. But even before the dinosaurs, there were other giant creatures ruling the Earth.

Why Russia, US and India are racing to Space? : Geopolitics of the Space War Explained
VIDEO INTRODUCTION: In the past 3 years, we have seen some of the most sensational space events in the world, Elon Musk has been launching rockets one after the other, India and Russia are aggressively pursuing their moon mission, US is about to launch its moon mission in 2025 and even China and Japan are preparing for the same. But while most people might think this to be yet another exploration move, Very few people realize that it has a geopolitical angle to it!! If You don't believe me, look at this, In November 2019, NATO declared space as one of the warfighting domains. France changed the name of its Air Force to the Air and Space Force and Russia combined its air force, anti-air, and antimissile defenses into the Aerospace Forces in 2015. So do you realize what's happening, Space is literally turning into a frontier of warfare!!!
So all this drama is not just scientific discovery but also about having that extra advantage during times of war!! So the space race has a very significant geopolitical implication in the 21st century!!! So the question is,
How did space suddenly turn into a frontier of geopolitical power?
Which are the most strategic points that superpowers of the world are racing towards?
and where does India stand in this drama???

The new space race: Russia launches first mission to moon in almost 50 years
Despite waging war in Ukraine, Russia's president Vladimir Putin doesn't want to be left out of the latest space race.
For the first time in almost half a century, Russia has launched a lunar mission in the hope of building a base together with China on the south pole of the moon.
It’s a goal which the United States and Europe are very much chasing too.
Why India and Russia Were Racing to the Moon’s South Pole | WSJ
India became the first country to successfully land on the moon's south pole with its Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft, just days after Russia’s Luna-25 crashed in the same region. Both countries launched rockets in recent weeks, hoping to be the first to successfully complete the mission.
Why were they racing to reach the lunar south pole? WSJ explains the significance of both missions for Moscow and New Delhi.

The Living Universe is Unimaginably BIG and You're a Part of it!
How big is the universe? Let's take a journey from Earth to the solar system, closest stars, the Milky Way, and the observable universe. Along the way we will stop by the Oort cloud, Alpha Centauri, radiosphere, Andromeda galaxy, Virgo supercluster, and Laniakea.
After watching this video, you can think a couple things. Either - I’m this tiny, separate thing on a distant planet in the middle of nowhere special. I’ll live for several decades and that will be that. Or you may be thinking, wow, I’m a part of this unimaginably large, possibly infinite universe, that is potentially teeming with life. A part of this thing that I don’t really understand. A thing that, well, no one truly understands. A part of this planet, this node in the sea of space that is coming to life. and things can get very metaphysical after that.
Within our current scientific understanding, it’s easy to feel alone in the universe. We believe that we are separate beings, floating around on a tiny rock in a vast and seemingly dead universe. This is an old and outdated paradigm that needs to be updated. We need to re-examine a few key assumptions and learn to let go of these old beliefs for ourselves and for humanity. I’ll be covering these key assumptions in future videos, but to give you the sneak peek:
1 – First, the idea that you are somehow separate from the universe needs to be obliterated. We are taught that we are individuals, separate from the world out there. Of course, with assumptions and beliefs like that, you will feel like a lost soul, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Although we feel that we are independent creatures roaming around, we’re not really separate. We’re not independent of the world we live in. We’re in an intimate, inseparable symbiotic relationship with the world we live in. Humans and nature are one in the same. We are actually a part of it - a piece of the whole.
The universe is not outside of you - you're in it. You’re a function of the universe in the same way that one of your skin cells is a function of your whole body - a function of you. We are an aspect of the universe, so it doesn’t make any sense to set yourself apart and say you're an isolated object surrounded by a vast alien entity. You grew from that entity and you're inseparable from it. If you ever feel lost, just remember that the force that guides the stars, guides you too. You are a result of nature just as much as a star or planet is.
2 – The second key assumption that needs to be re-examined is our narrow definition of what life is. the distinction between living and non-living is a definitional difference. This division is actually just a concept in our minds, which is why there is so much debate on what is considered to be alive. For example, some say viruses are alive, while others say they are not.
Our line between living and non living always seems to be moving. We used to think that we were the only intelligent, living things. Then we expanded it from ourselves to animals, insects, plants, cells, and now we are asking -
Are viruses, bacteria, endospores (which can live without nutrients for millions of years – don’t grow, move, excrete, or do anything until the environmental conditions are right), and DNA alive in a sense?
There is no clear consensus on what life is because there really is no clear line where you can say this is living and this is not. We have definitions of what we think is required for something to be alive, life as we know it, but it’s a very incomplete understanding of what intelligence is and what being alive means.
What if life is more inherent and fundamental to the universe than we’ve assumed. The universe is not some static mechanistic material thing that we once believed it to be. It’s not a bunch of dumb matter floating around aimlessly. The idea of the universe being like a machine grew out of Newton’s ideas of a clockwork universe. We now know that the universe is not static like a clock – it is a process of constant change - of movement and evolution. The universe is more comparable to an organism than a clock. I’m not saying the universe is an organism - I’m simply stating that it behaves more like an organism than a clock. Could it be that the universe itself has some type of intelligence, awareness, or a different type of consciousness than our own? Is it possible that the universe is alive in a way that isn’t quite clear to us from our tiny perspective – in a way beyond our ability to comprehend? Kind of like how a cell in our body doesn’t know that it is part of a larger, more complex being.
This idea ties nicely into the previous idea that we are not separate from the universe. If we are intelligent and alive and not separate from the universe, then it would be logical to conclude that the universe is also intelligent and alive in a sense. In my opinion, a living being cannot be the product of a dead universe. These topics will be covered in more depth in future videos.

Elon Musk Reacts! FAA Problem For Second Starship Launch...
Four months after its historic orbital launch attempt, SpaceX's Starship is gearing up for its second attempt at an orbital launch. However, recent months have seen SpaceX grappling with various challenges, the most prominent being its dealings with the federal aviation administration or FAA.
Musk responded to the update with an optimistic note, hinting, "Next Starship launch soon." This was accompanied by captivating visuals showcasing the colossal rocket prototype in transit.
The maiden flight of Starship on April 20th, 2023 was historic. Despite ending in a dramatic explosion, the space community saw its potential. This led SpaceX to activate a self-destruct command, resulting in the Starship's destruction over the Gulf of Mexico, a mere four minutes post-launch. Of course, explosion did not signify failure but rather a step towards refinement.
However, this explosion invoked an intensified investigation by the FAA. After months of rigorous data analysis, SpaceX presented their report detailing the ill-fated launch. While this report remains confidential, it is expected to shine a light on the corrective actions SpaceX intends to implement.
The FAA's role in this isn’t minimal. The explosion's aftermath saw concrete and metal debris scattered over 385 acres, wildfires, and plumes of dust traveling over six miles. Given these concerns, the FAA didn't hesitate to temporarily halt Starship's operations. They will provide SpaceX with an actionable list to gain approval for future launches. It's worth noting that this isn't the first time the FAA and SpaceX have found themselves at odds. We all remember the multiple delays that plagued the inaugural Starship launch attempt, with regulatory hurdles being a significant contributor.
Rumors are circulating that SpaceX is aiming for an August 31st launch, if they get the green light from the FAA. How did this date come to light? SpaceX recently informed the U.S. Coast Guard about their planned launch on that day. Informing the Coast Guard is a standard step before big launches. This communication serves two main purposes: confirming the planned launch date and ensuring maritime safety. By doing so, nearby ships are alerted about potential hazards tied to the rocket's takeoff.

Unseen Footage - Astronauts Falling on the Moon (NASA Apollo Space Missions)
As funny as these recordings of astronauts falling on the moon may seem, many were actually carried out under mission orders and were of valuable importance to NASA’s research endeavors. During Apollo 15, astronauts were conducting experiments on metabolic rates across various types of lunar terrain, and during Apollo 16, the falls took place while testing differences in locomotion on the moon and Earth. Adding to unexpected seriousness of the footage, one of these falls threatened the life of astronaut Charles Duke, who came close to cracking his suit and exposing himself to the vacuum of space...

S.W.O.T: Earth Science Satellite Will Help Communities Plan for a Better Future
A new Earth science mission, led by NASA and the French space agency Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES), will help communities plan for a better future by surveying the planet’s salt and freshwater bodies. The Surface Water and Ocean Topography (SWOT) mission will measure the height of water in lakes, rivers, reservoirs, and the oceans.
As climate change accelerates the water cycle, more communities around the world will be inundated with water while others won’t have enough. SWOT data will be used to improve flood forecasts and monitor drought conditions, providing essential information to water management agencies, civil engineers, universities, the U.S. Department of Defense, disaster preparedness agencies, and others who need to track water in their local areas. In this video, examples of how SWOT data will be used in these communities are shared by a National Weather Service representative in Oregon, an Alaska Department of Transportation engineer, researchers from the University of Oregon and University of North Carolina, a NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory scientist working with the Department of Defense, and a JPL scientist working with the Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Agency.

Russia's Luna-25 spacecraft crashes into moon
Russia’s first moon mission in 47 years failed after its Luna-25 spacecraft smashed into moon on Aug 20. Roskosmos, Russia’s space corporation, said it had lost contact with the craft shortly after a problem occurred. This development came soon after the craft was shunted into pre-landing orbit on Aug 19. An incident occurred, while the spacecraft was trying to enter a pre-landing orbit according to Roscosmos. Interestingly, Russia had not attempted a moon mission since Luna-24 in 1976. Luna-25 was supposed to execute a soft landing on the south pole of the moon on Aug 21, as per Russian space officials. Luna-25 took off from the Vostochny launch facility in Russia’s Far East, the Russia-based TASS news agency reported. Meanwhile, India’s third lunar mission Chandrayaan-3 is on track. Chandrayaan-3 is set to land on the moon on August 23, 2023 (Wednesday). The spacecraft is now just three-day away from its final destination, the moon’s south pole.
