The German Foreign Minister makes an explosive statement amid the Russia-Ukraine war. Germany is "at war with Russia," says Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock. The big "admission" of war against Russia comes just hours after the NATO chief tried to distance the bloc from the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Jens Stoltenberg, in an interview with Germany’s "Die Welt" newspaper, playing the innocence role, said that NATO is "neither a party to the conflict in Ukraine nor wants to be one." The video of a US Army M-1 Abrams tank unsuccessfully trying to climb a snowy hill is enjoying great popularity on the Internet, even though the heavy combat vehicle, the main tank of the US Army, has enormous power. The armored vehicle was only stopped by a few inches of snow – the tank just started to slide and slid back down. Reparations for the slavery is not a new idea. Before the Civil War ended, General William Tecumseh Sherman issued an order in South Carolina. He wanted 40 acres and the loan of an Army mule set aside for each former slave family. This order was never carried out. After the war, Republicans in Congress passed laws requiring confiscation of former-Confederate property to provide the ex-slaves with "40 acres and a mule." While the flames rose and seared their skin, the tire around their necks would melt and cling like boiling tar to their flesh. Although the legal age is 17, under a legal provision for “exceptional circumstances” a family can apply for the consent of the courts to legally marry off a child who is younger than the established legal age. However, what is considered an “exceptional circumstance” is rather vague. Although Turkey already has laws in place to protect children, countless young underage girls are married off by their families each year. Child marriage is not just a family issue -- it is a human rights violation and it needs to be addressed as such with the legal circles in Turkey. In 2011, Turkey signed the Council of Europe convention aimed at combating violence against women, which includes enacting laws that view child marriage as a crime. Chinese authorities in the northwestern region of Xinjiang are detaining Muslim ethnic minorities en masse and subjecting them to torture and brainwashing to honor the ruling Chinese Communist Party and renounce the tenets of their faith, rights groups warned. The Turkish national liberation struggle began on May 19, 1919 and culminated in the liberation of Anatolia, the international recognition of modern Turkey’s borders by the Treaty of Lausanne, and the founding of the Republic of Turkey the same year on October 29, 1923.

A left-wing protester was caught on video harassing an alleged 9/11 widow and telling her that her late husband should “rot in the grave” and he looked to be ready for physical confrontation. The harassment of the woman took place in Portland, Oregon, during clashes between Antifa and pro-Trump factions. The protester, who appeared to be a part of Antifa, first started screaming at the woman as she waited for a traffic light to change so she could cross the street. A squatter camp located in Pretoria, South Africa is experiencing serious problems and the dark side of living in these places has reared its ugly head. Children are starving, malnutrition and disease is rampant. Respiratory problems associated with Asthma and pneumonia is common among the children living in these camps. Diarrhea and untreated infections are a daily occurrence. A census undertaken in 2011 revealed that over one million blacks lived in shacks and approximately eight thousand whites. Today these figures have changed drastically. A survey indicated that there were more than 80 squatter camps around South Africa. Homeless shelters were included in this account, and it is at these places where care and support are given to needy people of any race, color or creed. The homeless shelters are usually set up by churches and charities to help the less fortunate. Squatter camps are referenced to illegal occupation of state-owned land and it is in these places where the fallen, in many cases drug addicts and alcoholics, wind up going. A Hungarian television camera operator who made headlines in 2015 after allegedly tripping and kicking migrants fleeing police has been acquitted by the country’s supreme court. “The video reporter was acquitted owing to the lack of a violation,” a court statement said on Tuesday, after judges ruled that Petra László had not been correctly charged by lower courts. László caused outcry in September 2015 when she tripped a man who was running with a child in his arms, and kicked another child near the town of Röszke, close to the border with Serbia.
