Bomb Rush Cyberfunk chapter 6 - Post Game: Beating Devil Theory challenge
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is an action-adventure game developed and published by Team Reptile. The player controls a member of a graffiti Writer gang called Bomb Rush Crew as they use boost packs traversing around New Amsterdam, paint graffiti, collect beats, combo tricks and facing authority to stake their claim to the sprawling metropolis of New Amsterdam. The game was first released in Japan on Switch on 18 August 2023 and released worldwide for Linux, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on the same day afterward.
The game's gameplay bear similarity to Jet Set Radio with the exception of an option to switch between inline skates, skateboards, and BMX with each has different hidden functions, Reputation points (Shortened as REP) which can be gained by replacing other gang's graffiti with theirs, and access to flip phone which the player can use to access available sequence for the graffities they have collected after completing a mission, music for background the player has collected so far (Some of them are found in hard-to-reach platform) which can be manually picked and turned on or off from Red's phone, access to camera with the filter option and switch point of view between front or self (The camera's POV depends on the character's animation while holding the phone) and gallery with the option to view the captured photo in full screen and delete photos. Player gained access to boost pack at the beginning of the game which can help the player reach hard-to-reach platforms with correct timing. Boost pack fuel meter can be replenished by hitting vending machines and dumpsters which will spit out some fuel orbs for the player to collect. Player character also regenerates health over time if they are hurt (By cops, falling, unpassable wall hazard or DJ Cyber's disc during his boss battle).
Unlike Jet Set Radio's combo system, the game's combo can only be increased by leaning left or right before the player character hit a corner while grinding or wallride. The player can also use the boost pack to gain a large amount point multiplied by the player's current combo at the cost of some fuel which is useful for outscoring rival gang in Crew Battle.
Last one....Devil Theory. Man...just like Eclipse and the others, they broke up or more like...only one member stayed in their hangout...the rest? Who knows...Still...just like Eclipse, they mellowed out and seems more supportive after what they did in the past (Trying to amend their mistake). Their score challenge is the same as Eclipse...5.000.000 points but since we already did Futurism first, the hard part is figuring out every grind corner and wallride to use without plummeting down to lowest level and lose your combo on stairs (I hate stairs in this game. They canceled your current combo the instant you land on them)

I know that I should have done Devil Theory first before doing Futurism because of the score level but I just can't help but try to take the challenge for Futurism as it's the only gang demanding you to get the highest score they managed to get due to their impressive skills (Both Devil Theory and Eclipse weren't even close compared to Cyber's former gang).
After 2 attempts, I finally beat the 6.000.000 score challenge and Futurism finally joined BRC out of impressed. Man...and that left me with sore fingers from the button mashing. Also, Cyber....you got your gang as part of BRC now. Good for ya, man!

Beat voice lines Jet Set Radio (Japanese)
I'm thanking the JSR Reddit community for this. One Reddit user named JammyChoo2007 finally figured out how to unpack every JSR character's voice lines.
It all started with a user named wyvernos trying to parse the CDI disk of JSR into files inside it. The OSTs, graffitis, tags, and voices are all in it in ADX format but the voice files were packed further in AFS Zip which when unpacked, contains 300 ADX files with voices of all characters but couldn't work it out further. Thanks to JammyChoo2007 there for unpacking the voice files with AFS unpacker and unpacked the further compressed files (They're further compressed into OSB format within the AFS Zip) and finally get both the Japanese and English voices plus the second English version but sped up for some reason.
One problem though...the user responsible for this voice file extraction said that the rival gang's voices sound sped up for unknown reason when he or she extracted them.
Since the voice files originally are random despite the numbered name, I did a bit of rearrange to match the order he would say in-game wise even though each voice files had very short duration

At Mataan, Flesh Prince will join you if you can dance beside him with the same dance move he did. At the same time, a Futurism member will ask if you can beat her 6.000.000 score within the time limit. Failed on the first try and skip that for now and start recruiting the easier one

Post-game, one member of each gang will give you a score challenge if you talk to him or her. In Versum Hill, the Frank will ask if you can beat his 3.000.000 score within a short time (How many minutes they gave you to complete their challenge depends on the gang reputation. Futurism asks for the highest score compared to other gang because they are known to be the only gang who almost conquered all the borough before BRC). I tried the challenge for the first time but I'm not good enough at the challenge so I will pass that for now. Now then...Rietveld can be found in the stadium on the left of the Franks basketball court, she got herself in trouble and needs our help. After saving her, it seems that Faux's influence in the police force had gone too far and she ended up betrayed by her own squad. She had enough of trying to fix the Police force and decided to join the BRC (Which we gladly let her join)
Note: I forgot to cut the idle part of Rietveld's dialogue. I wasn't paying attention at this part because my editor start viewing the raw recording as corrupted from overuse.

Remembering everything and knowing that Faux is now project Algo, Faux already made his move and Devil Theory who were once working with the police now get thrashed by him. Just as Faux about to finish one of the Devil Theory member, Solace stepped in and stop him. Still...Solace's tendency to run his mouth made accidentally spill what's supposed to be an important secret that Red is Felix revived, making the situation worse. Seeing that Red is Felix now, Faux start rambling about going All City as he thought that he deserved for the title instead of Felix though this seems to reveal his true nature and Tryce voiced his disappointment of Faux from this reveal and called him a murderer. Faux said that he used to be like them, another writer who thinks that Art is Competition (Or something like that which is why they compete against other gang. A chill turf war) between gangs until he finally saw that Art is War. "Rules are only for those who believe in them," is what Faux think of the competition and he said that he will be "All City" without said competition. Red called Faux insane and said that Graffiti is competition and never about actually hurting others. He said that it still needs the society rule, and everyone (All writers) wouldn't be doing this if Graffiti is legal. Being someone who love the thrill of the challenge, he shouted that Graffiti would be boring if it was legal. Faux then rambled about Felix gaining so much by abandoning both he and Cyber back then and will do the same to everyone in the area (BRC, Devil Theory, all of them).
Oh god.... this is going to be a solid challenge as not only we are facing another tank walker, we are facing upgraded police like in the Mall but with snipers tagging along too. I swear...I nearly died from the gun fire shot by the tank's arms while avoiding the cop's firearm too. Ouch, ouch, ouch! When Red finally defeated Faux, their victory was cut short when Faux emerges from below as a strange serpent-like monster with multi-arms made of metal and killed Red by plucking his head off before kidnapping Solace and fled. As Red starts losing his consciousness without a body, Rietveld came and open the casket she was carrying which contain Felix's headless body (Oh and with the boostpack too this time) much to everyone's disbelief. Tryce said to her that they had better get social immunity from her since she is a police officer like Escher. Now that Red is fully revived as Felix, he is ready to take on Faux. Let's tag the giant button on each of these giant golden hands and quickly head to the next area.

Before we start challenging the Futurism, we need to go find Coil for his 3rd recruitment. He said that he is on an island in the middle of Mataan (The one where there are large and medium tag) and there, he will give you a challenge of reaching the bridge on the other side (That one bridge in front of both you and him) in a single combo without fail and he will leave once again (We will get to that part later because the next recruitment event trigger at random time). Alright...we are done here, let's talk to the Futurism to start. Ahem....Crew Battle: BRC vs Futurism!
After winning the Crew Battle, DJ Cyber was impressed at the achievement and asked Red if he still wanted his head back (I think it's his original head that DJ was talking about) which Tryce said that it's too late to wish for that and Red said that he already got a head so he no longer wants it. "So you say...however there is still something missing...The body is nothing without the head, and the head is nothing without the Mind," DJ reminded them. When Bel wondered what he meant about the Mind, he told her that Red need to embrace his past and present self if he wants to be his future self. He opened the back of his mech where the machine for exploring the mind and Red start dreaming by using it.
Entering the mind world, the environment consists of nothing but white space and ravens (What does this symbolize I wonder...). Behind the big raven is Felix and talking to him will make him replaces Red in exploring his own mind while Red vanished temporarily (If you are still confused, Red is Felix in the present and this is the past Felix we are playing as in the next stage of his mind world. Hmm...why does he have the boostpack? Does it mean that we are playing as the current Felix behind the Cyberhead?). Once we tagged the spot at the end, Felix will enter his final memory before he died with DJ explaining him everything that happened including who killed him that night. When Felix was tagging on a billboard, Faux asked him why he never used boostpack like he and Cyber which Felix explain that he doesn't need one. Faux said that was the reason why he went solo (Felix was a loner back then) and kick the ladder where Felix was standing on, thus killing him and his head decapitated by the fan below him. At the same time, DJ and Prince were watching the Franks playing Basketball when Felix's headless body land in the room they were in. When DJ told him why he ended Faux, Felix was surprised that he did that for his sake. Felix confidently laughs that luck was always on his side and DJ pointed out that Faux didn't realize that there was a key witness: Solace. Felix said that it's not over yet and he will deal with Faux himself personally.

Once you tagged the spot where the big golden statue above a building with some very difficult maneuvering, Futurism members will show themselves depending on your REP point. Oh man...I hate to admit...this is the only location with the biggest map in the game. Yeah, Brink Terminal is big...but not as big as Mataan and not to mention...almost both sides of the street (Left and right side) are almost identical that I ended up just looping around figuring out if I'm going in the right direction while at the same time, looking for Coil (Mind you that I already read the guide from Steam of how to find each characters but figuring out where they are exactly is the hardest part I have ever done. JSRF character recruitment in a map was better compared to this that I don't really need much guide to find them, mind you). Alright, let's just get this over with and move to the next area soon.

Back in Mataan, one of the Futurism members opened the wall made of chemical but when you are close to the second chemical wall, another member asked if you got REP and if you already did, the other member will say that their boss told them that the gang will show up which the first will challenge you to a race to the end of corridor which is basically race for who can tag first. Hmm...some of them Futurism has showed themselves but we are gonna ignore them for now and focus on gathering as much REP as we can before challenging all of them at once.

Arriving at Pyramid Island, Rise immediately greet the BRC as soon as you walk to the giant closed gate ahead of you. She said that she will open the door only if the BRC gather 40 REP first. Once you got 40 REP point, she will open the door to the next area. Here...she will be leaning on a pillar right in front of you, this is her 2nd location and unlike other characters, Rise gives you 2 requests in one location at once whereas others gave 1 request per location for recruitment condition. Her first request to the BRC is to take a photo of her with Prima lighting camera effect, switch your phone's camera effect until you see your phone camera screen turn blue and take a shot at her (This is the effect she was talking about). After you took a photo of her with the lighting she wanted, she will then ask you to take a photo of her while she is doing tricks. This can be difficult because she will constantly move in a fixed pattern, and you will have to follow her at one point till you get the right moment when she did a tricking move midway.
Let's go!

Back at the Hideout, Prince said that Red is fine and only had a mild concussion which Bel instantly have a selfie with Red before Prince replaced his broken cyberhead with a new one. Tryce gave Flesh Prince a suspicious stare before he finally confesses that Red isn't a cyberhead. "I was given a human head and I was told to keep it alive. So I put the head in a standard model cyberhead...but I know how flesh work. Without a body, it was getting weaker and losing memories, rotting," he said. He continued that since there wasn't any headless body that fits the head, he said that something had to be done until Tryce appeared with a headless body which turns out to be a perfect match for the head. Red admits that it explains the constant headaches he has been having all this time and said that he recognized the face which he saw from his dream especially the wing tattoo on the left cheek. Bel asked Prince if he knew whose head was it attached to Red's body and Vinyl interrupted that Prince couldn't spill it right now because Red's head is public enemy number one. Tryce said whoever Red is, he got skills and a good writer which Vinyl told the BRC to make Red remembered his old identity before the news of his existence got out in public. While Bel overwhelmed over everything that happened, Red doesn't really give a damn about it. "If that Project Algo or DJ Cyber gets in the way, we'll beat them," Red said. Vinyl told everyone that their next target is Pyramid Island. Ever since the Devil Theory driven out from Mataan, they managed to turn Pyramid Island into their new borough. Pyramid Island can be accessed by taking the ferry from Millenium Square

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk chapter 4 - Rave joined the gang (2nd & 3rd location), 1st clue of Flesh Prince
Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is an action-adventure game developed and published by Team Reptile. The player controls a member of a graffiti Writer gang called Bomb Rush Crew as they use boostpacks traversing around New Amsterdam, paint graffiti, collect beats, combo tricks and facing authority to stake their claim to the sprawling metropolis of New Amsterdam. The game was first released in Japan on Switch on 18 August 2023 and released worldwide for Linux, macOS, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on the same day afterward.
The game's gameplay bear similarity to Jet Set Radio with the exception of an option to switch between inline skates, skateboards, and BMX with each has different hidden functions, Reputation points (Shortened as REP) which can be gained by replacing other gang's graffiti with theirs, and access to flip phone which the player can use to access available sequence for the graffities they have collected after completing a mission, music for background the player has collected so far (Some of them are found in hard-to-reach platform) which can be manually picked and turned on or off from Red's phone, access to camera with the filter option and switch point of view between front or self (The camer's POV depends on the character's animation while holding the phone) and gallery with the option to view the captured photo in full screen and delete photos. Player gained access to boostpack at the beginning of the game which can help the player reach hard-to-reach platforms with correct timing. Boostpack fuel meter can be replenished by hitting vending machines and dumpsters which will spit out some fuel orbs for the player to collect.
The player can also use the boostpack to gain a large amount point multiplied by the player's current combo at the cost of some fuel which is useful for outscoring rival gang in Crew Battle.
Before starting to look for Flesh Prince, Rave haven't joined our gang yet. At this point, we got enough REP point for the Oldheads to open the way to Underground Bazaar where Rave awaits. Once Rave join, it's time to switch character and ask the Frank tending a basketball shop on the right side of the basketball court. He said that the gangs moved to Millenium Square after BRC won the Crew War against them. That's 1st clue!

After winning the crew battle and escape from the police force, a mind-controlled Escher suddenly confront Red and shoot him point black on his cyberhead. It doesn't really faze him much in the first shot and that point blank only managed to scratch him a bit (Sturdy metal head). Still...the shot render Red temporarily unplayable from the wound and the BRC crews must race against time to find Flesh Prince before it's too late. Also, Vinyl decided to join BRC and help the gang find the Prince and conveniently enough, her using skateboard by default would be a good replacement for Red for now.
By the way...beating Dot EXE by this point unlocked their Breaking dance style which you will use to finally make her join your gang.
