Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 22.5: Early Encounter
A GR King's Cup happens after beating the Fighting Fort! let's go chew through it like a hamster!
The first opponent is someone we'd normally encounter in the Psychic Stronghold. His supper Effective deck and rule of -10 resistance instead of -30 often gives him a good chance at, well... hitting for as much damage as possible. he doesn't have a wide variety of typing or anything and of course we can do the same thanks to the special rule, but it's basically aggro strategies for the most part via Hitmonchan and 50-damage Psychics. Maybe not as efficient as it could be, but still may post a bit of an issue with that special rule if you don't remember to take it into account.
The last two are ones you have seen before and thus don't really need a introduction. :P But we do get to re-face the Pikachu Zapper deck with no Pikachu requirements and speed run the Powerful Premonition deck so he doesn't have cooking issues. ;)

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 24.5: Unofficial Mastery
So those tables DO get used! lol! You'll see what I mean later on in the parts. Though you may already have. ;)
So you are able to battle all the freed Grand masters at the Pokemon Dome up until Rod is rescued so between part 24 and 25 seems like a good spot to put this.
Courtney's deck revolves around the Legendary Moltres to gather fire energy to thin the deck and power up fire Pokemon. Scoop Up can reuse it too. She is rarely low on energy as a result, but given that her Pokemon often need a lot for their best attacks, Energy Removal can thwart them. In which case Magmar lv.31 is the biggest threat.
Steve's Deck is built with the Legendary Zapdos in mind which hits something when it comes in play. So he doesn't usually put many in play just to put the odds in his favor. The funny thing is that it hits anything but itself though so you can't expect consistency out of it. ;) The Prehistoric Power Aerodactyl killing your evolutions and Electabuzz lv. 35 however are much bigger threats. But I was able to keep him down and thus have basically full control of the game.
Finally the deck of Jack (Frost's) of course features the Legendary Articuno which can cause paralysis to your active Pokemon when it comes in play. He's also got a bunch of hard-hitting water Pokemon like Kingler as well as stallers like Chansey to buy him turns to set up. Of course that means you can set up as well, so he packs Energy Removal to throw you off.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 86: Table Flipper
The coin flip deck is as finicky as it sounds! XD
Well, ok... It DID perform better than I expected. But I'm not sure if it's just because I skillfully played the probabilities or if the opponents just didn't get their decks going. In any case, it's a success! Though I wouldn't expect it to happen all the time, lol! Thus it's not very competition-worthy. But you could try it if you find the idea fun.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 85: Mewtwotwo
I thought of making the "Mewthree" fakemon joke, but this technically isn't a new Pokemon as it is a re-showing of the Mewtwo deck, lol!
THIS is a far better example of the deck's potential. Notice how I can get it to do a turn 2 or 3 Psyburn with relative ease? That's the idea. Well, Kangaskhan works too with Double Colorless. But primarily it's about the Mewtwo beatdown. Only colorless resists Psychic so attacking is often easy and fast to perform. Especially with all the draw power. Even if the opponent has Energy Removal you can just put them right back on Mewtwo with Energy Absorption then keep attacking next turn. Two Psyburns usually KO things too as they just need 80 or less HP, which is most of the card base. Even the classic beat down Pokemon like Electabuzz and Scyther are 70. So it's a swift counter.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 84: Puppet Master
Hypno and Clefairy Doll! I told you I'd make a deck with this!
It's certainly not the most powerful deck around, but it is pretty fun to play. I'm not sure how much more it can be refined considering by it's very nature the Clefairy Dolls aren't known to stick around. Even with Defender, the opponent only needs to do 30 to get by it unless you double-defender. But with just 4 copies, that likely won't happen. Speaking of 30, that's generally what you'll be doing with this deck each turn, lol!

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 83: Anti-Meta
I made a deck showing what I think the meta would be, now here's one that is against the meta! The two duelists I battle here are the perfect candidates to show it too!
Muk's Toxic Gas is the main thing in that it stops all other Pokemon Powers. Rain Dance, Hay Fever, Invisible Wall, Retreat Aid, etc... are all stopped. As a result, this deck uses no other Pokemon Powers of it's own. It can utilize the opponent's strongest Pokemon as well thanks to Metronome via Clefairy and Clefable (In the physical TCG, you may want to consider Lv. 20 Ditto too: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Ditto_(Fossil_3) ). So while it doesn't excel in a particular strategy, it gets by through utilizing the opponent's strongest Pokemon. Oh and of course Kangaskhan and Scyther are backup too. :P It of course is very trainer-heavy (That has not really changed too much through the TCG's lifespan.) in that it needs the draw power like any others, if not more so because Muk is key to ruining other strategies. There's also a lot of disruption like the Energy Removal brothers and the Rocket sisters. So it can be possible to foil key things before the even get off the ground that way too. Switch and Gust Of Wind are there as a bit of help in certain situations like difficult to retreat situations or combining with Clefairy/Clefable to pull out their strongest Pokemon before it can set up and wipe it out.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 82: Psyburn Return
Let's try the Mewtwo beatdown deck style! Kind of... RNG took place and, well... things didn't lead the way I expected, lol!
But it's still a win! So while I don't think this deck is as good as it could be made (Probably' needs more Scoop Up for instance. :P), it's still pretty effective. It has two main attackers in the form of said Mewtwo and Kangaskhan as backup in case I encounter colorless critters. Using Gastly (which I forgot to show in the last deck...) I can even recycle Double Colorless Energy. Coin flips for Kangaskhan were bonkers this part though at literally both extremes. Trainer cards are standard. Draw power, hand and energy disruption... Those sorts of things. But Mr. Fuji will be a new one that sort of combos well with cards in this, though Scoop Up would be my first pick. I had to show some of it's combos sometime though, lol! Mr. Mime is always a solid stall for high-attackers and Mew can get some utilization as well in mirror matchups or high-energy Pokemon. Though that one I kind of just wanted to show too. XD

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX Demo Part 3: Finishing the Jobs (Finale)
Doing what we have from the bulletin board is really all that can be done at this point to progress the story. Then we hit the "that's all for the demo" wall.
So as for the quests, they range from finding a specific item to finding someone lost in a dungeon to teleport them out. Just make NOT leave the floor until you complete the objective or you will have to go back in the dungeon later to finish it.
But there was a little more to this part at the Makuhita Dojo. In this version you can apparently use tickets to do timed runs of defeating enemies with super effective attacks for exp. Leveling seems pretty rapid here so it seems quite worth trying out. Especially if you aren't keen on grinding like I am, lol! Not that you need to grind for the demo of course, but I mean more for the full game.
Then some rather-late tutorials at the Makuhita Dojo. XD You do get some really awesome items from it though like Reviver Seeds and more tickets however! So even if you know how to play, I'd at least do the ones you get the most valuable items from.
So will I get this game? That does seem to be the direction I'll go, lol! I just don't know how "much" new content there is to know if it's worth getting because if there's not much new stuff, I may as well just replay the original instead.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX Demo Part 2: Inconvenient Attraction
Being magnetic can be pretty handy. You can find various metal treasure just wandering around for instance. on the flip side, you may get yourself stuck to a fridge or to someone else. Happens to all of us!
This is where the game starts to get a bit more complicated. More floors, more corridoors, more rooms, more enemies, more chance for a higher belly and of course more chance for failure. :P It's still not all that long though since this is the early game after all, but we can make the most of it by exploring it all to pick up all the items and Poké. Plus batting stuff for what they may drop (or experience). Then we check out the town that has been there the whole time and get jobs from the bulletin board for later.
Also, I think this demo has more content than the 45-60 minutes people said! Well, that or I'm ridiculously thorough, lol!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX Demo Part 1: Dino Transporter
I know that Bulbasaurs are based off of a frog and a onion, but the English name always makes me want to do dinosaur/lizard jokes, lol!
So this little demo has been taunting me with it's unplayedness for a while and since I'm feeling a bit burned out of the TCG, I thought a little diversion would be a good idea. Here I go through the basics of Mystery Dungeon games while messing around in my usual style. Yay! Don't be confused by it's seemingly real-time looks, it's actually turn-based. So you can relax and think through your moves or, well... mess around too!

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 81: The Meta
This sort of deck was pretty typical in the Rocket era and topped often. With The Rocket's Trap instead of Lass or Rocket's Sneak Attack, I put my own spin on it.
Is it the best build with this particular card set? Ehhhh, hard to say. I mean every deck has it's weakness, can brick, etc... and there are a lot or probabilities to weigh. Especially since this particular format is technically unique to the video game and there's no documentation I know of evaluating the entire thing like there is the physical game in all regions. For instance, Poltergeist-Haunter could really benefit from all the trainer cards Hay Fever accumulates in the opponent's hand. But is it better than Snorlax as an attacker? Hard to say since it has Thick Skin. You could use them both, but that takes up more deck space and you need a lot of draw power to get this strategy going. Also, if it encounters Toxic Gas-Muk to stop Dark Vileplume, which was also a pretty common counter, things could be ruined in this build without more outs as without the lock, this deck sort of crumbles longterm. Maybe Fetch-Kangaskhan instead of Dark Golduck, actual-Psychic Pokemon like Psyburn-Mewtwo for Energy Absorption to sweep Poison-Grass critters and combine with a few Gust of Wind, etc... But that too takes up deck space. SO much to take into account. Heck, even this deck can run Invisible Wall-Mr. Mime so that's something to consider too. But this should give you a taste of the lockdown deck style.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 80: Back To The Start
Got just starter decks? No problem! lol!
With strategy and probability planning, the limited card pool of the starter set's half-decks could get you pretty far. This is definitely not a competitive build, but it sure is fun seeing what you can do with the most common of cards. A part of me wonders if I could make it more efficient like having two more Pokedex in place of the potions or something. But it seems to have done the job, lol!

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 79: Low Cost
As I said before, I'm not one to impulsively spend. So let's use just 1 energy card per Pokemon most of the time, lol!
The idea behind this deck is the all-powerful-ish "one energy for 20 damage" then surprising with Pluspower at times. Also utilizing Defender to essentially increase your HP on otherwise low-HP basic Pokemon. Because there's so much deck space due to a low energy and Pokemon count, trainer cards will run rampant with stuff like Energy Removal, Gust Of Wind for another kind of surprise and of course large amounts of draw power. The Pokemon you can choose are pretty wide-reaching as there are a bunch of 1-4-20ers out there. But I chose these for this particular build to keep energy typing down to two and because they support each other pretty well.
Bonus thing I just thought of: If you wanted to make this deck in real life, it would be one of the most budget decks ever. XD The only rares are 4 copies of Super Energy Removal, which are ridiculously common in on themselves thanks to being printed in theme decks. Hitmonchan lv.23 is a rare in-game, but actually a uncommon IRL: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Hitmonchan_(Vending_S2)
Similar to Arcanine lv45. So once again it shows that rare doesn't necessarily mean powerful.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 78: Choosing Fate
The final Phantom Card is "Here Comes Team Rocket!" and it's nice to combine with Trickery-Rattata.
Nothing else to really combine it with though. So it's best used in support of your deck's main strategy. Which in this case is mostly Water-Aggro. It has a little Energy Removal with Poliwrath and Energy Removal itself of course. But primarily it's about getting 40-50 beaters out quickly. Also' about showing new critters, lol!

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 77: Fossil Hassle
This is why pure Fossil Decks don't really work, lol! Well I mean I did manage to get by here. But I think it was pretty lucky.
A lack of real Basic Pokemon is the first hurdle as you need to stall with good ones to get to some mediocre stage 1 fossil evolutions. At that point you may as well just use the good ones. :P Even if you can make it to the stage 2 evolutions, they aren't all that good themselves. Especially with their very specific energy requirements. Thus Energy Search is kind of a must because while you can use Rainbow Energy, you cause damage to their already-frail HPs. :P The advantage of Fossils though are similar to an Eeveelution deck in that you can possibly choose what typing would be best depending on the opponent's critters.
Deck space ends up being very restrictive overall due to all the evolutions and searches too. So no Energy Removal this build to try and make it as effective as possible. That being said, you "could" utilize one type's evolutionary line as that would likely be more effective. But the problem of their low HP and iffy attacks still remain. Therefor one of the two Aerodactyl (depending on your deck style) are your best shots. Probably not the Lv.30 one either because it's 3 for 40 and 10 damage to itself as opposed to Hitmonchan's straight 40 AND a 1 for 20. They aren't colorless, but if you are running all-fighting, it's no big deal. The lesser retreat is a bit of a benefit though, I guess... But if you are worried about retreats, you could just run Switch instead of Mysterious Fossil. Oh and yes I'm aware some Pokemon can search for Mysterious Fossil too. But they are of different energy types. So that would make space even tighter... Hence why Fossil Excavation was made.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 76: Don't Touch!
This deck is based around avoiding damage and effects. Well, as best it can be. :P
Free or near-free switches are a nice way to null status effects too (aside from Paralysis and 50/50-Confusion), but I also have Scoop Up as an emergency escape. I thought about Switch and/or Full Heal for similar reasons, but deck space was getting tight and I thought it would be best to stick to the strategy as close as possible: Trade/draw into the damage preventers which stop half of the attacks in general, heal the rest. Realistically such a strategy is not possible to prevent all damage all the time, but it's more about outlasting anyway. Oddly though I ended up Drill Pecking with Fearow a lot. XD I just go with where the deck takes me!

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 73: Nurse Joy
A type of damage control deck where you heal and move damage counters around to your advantage!
It's definitely not a fast deck style, but it is effective because the opponent has difficulties getting through when it gets going. Mr. Mime's Invisible Wall blocks attacks over 20 damage which when combined with Alakazam's Damage Swap you can basically make Mr. Mime invincible unless they Gust Of Wind an Alakazam KO or can cause some lasting status effect. Which may be ineffective anyway because Phantom Venusaur is a status healer. As for all those damage counters accumulated? Pokemon Center comes in play. just move counters to Pokemon without energy cards like Chansey then mass-heal.
Does this deck style seem familiar? it should because there was a "Mysterious Pokemon" deck in the first TCG which had similar concepts. But I didn't really show it to it's fullest because that deck just used rare cards for the sake of rare cards without contributing to the best parts of the strategy. Sort of like Ishihara's. This one however, I built to be pretty efficient. If I "really" wanted to take advantage of the Alakazam combo though, I'd likely go all-Psychic with some splashes of Colorless, then utilize stuff like Switch or Full Heal to clear status conditions. But I really wanted to show you Phantom-Venusaur and it fits well here.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 72: Just My Type
A deck of ALL the energy types!
The trick to doing it? Most Pokemon use Colorless energy and/or energy types that can go with other types. Think like Golduck from before. If you don't do it that way, you'll likely be heavily reliant on Energy Search and/or Rainbow Energy. You can guess that there are multiple ways of making a deck like this given there is almost always a Pokemon in a type with colorless attacks. There aren't many because of balance reasons though. So you've gotta be creative. I kind of played this deck like a doof because I wasn't used to it, lol! But I played it well enough to keep the streak going.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 71: Turbo Wiggle
For ALL the jiggle!
I mentioned you could base a deck around Wigglytuff and this does not disappoint! It may very well be my deadliest deck build yet as the speed to generate a Wigglytuff and a full bench is ridiculous. Long story short, it uses a ridiculous amount of trainer cards that draw more and more cards in a chain that yields all the Basics I could need and energy removal to boot. Double Colorless Energy also powers up Wigglytuff rapidly so the 60 damage attack after attack can come as fast as turn two.
This style of deck is of course weak against trainer-stopping cards such as Dark Vileplume. But that's not to say this deck can't function without the draws. See, the other two basic Pokemon I used besides Jigglypuff and Wigglytuff were Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee. You know Hitmonchan's nice aggro moves. But this Hitmonlee is kind of new to you. It can two-energy stretch kick said Vileplume even on the bench for 20 or dish out 50 to the opponent's active Pokemon for 3. So even if something stops my trainers, it won't for long or can function just fine as-is with the powerhouses. Of course said trainers then become dead draws. But with low energy requirements, you don't need much.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 70: GR Application Form
Dear Team GR, I submit this video as an application to join your passionate trading card game organization.
I hope you consider my dueling skill and card choices. I have made a Dark deck where all the Dark Pokemon support each other with potentially rapid damage. GR's Mewtwo boosts damage of dark Pokemon, Dark Clefable protects dark Pokemon from damage. Dark Hypno's and GR's Mewtwo coin flips and increase depending on how many dark Pokemon I have. So when I build up the forces, it can yield loads of damage. Defender and Potion is also there to improve the odds that the lower-HP dark Pokemon will stick around longer. I have not forgotten The Boss's Way and general draw power either. I also tend to gravitate towards Energy Removal tactics like one of your executives. I hope you don't mind.
Best,
-PkGam.

Pokemon Card GB 2 Part 69: Inevitable Removal
It was only a matter of time, lol! We won't make friends with this deck, but you certainly could use it against your enemies to irritate the heck out of them. :P
So as you see with this build, the Eneegy Removal copies have been maxed to 8. On top of that, there's two copies of each of the three stage-1 evolutionary lines I have. 4 copies of Brofessor Oak and Chall...... Bill, along with Pokemon Trader, also go far to keep them coming. So basically not a game goes by where I'm not removing multiple energy. Thinking back, while this deck is quite effective, maybe it would work a bit better if I increased the attack power and streamlined the evolutions. Say... removing the Eevee line for a few Articuno lv35 and Bill/Itemfinder. With Blizzard, I can nick Pokemon down to size to get them in that magic 30-40 HP range. May' also nick my own Pokemon. :P But I'd only need one successful flip for it to work.
