Nancy Drew: The Ransom of the Seven Ships Coucou The Parrot
• This project was created using the following items:
• Styrofoam Bird and Plastic Globe
• Acrylic Paints (Liquitex, Winsor and Newton, and Grumbacher)
• Glue Gun(Hi-Temp)
• Artist Loft Brushes
• Green Foliage
• Feathers
I did not film every step of the process, but I added each step as to how I completed them below:
The Steps:
•I first removed the feathers from the package and cut/glued the feather pieces into the shapes that I wanted to replicate. (I used the glue gun for this because Elmer’s Glue would be too much of a mess.)
•After it was completely dry, I started to paint my bird completely. I painted the Dome Base with thick acrylic paint (White Newton paint). When the White Newton paint was dry on the dome, I continued to paint the details on the parrot.
• At this point, I used acorns to give the piece more variety, painted them, and glued the trio to the base.
•The last part was to add the green foliage and glue it securely to the base with the glue gun then add the Dome Base for the finished look. It took me about three days to complete this project.
“Then God said, “Let the waters swarm with fish and other life. Let the skies be filled with birds of every kind.” So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that scurries and swarms in the water, and every sort of bird—each producing offspring of the same kind. And God saw that it was good.”- Genesis 1:20 -23

•1930s/1940s Vanity Desk Restoration•
This was a vanity desk that is from either the 1940s or late 1930s. I decided to paint it white/yellow to match the rest of my bedroom. This project took me about three days to complete. It reminded me of how God takes the seemingly ‘ugly pieces’ in our lives and makes them new again. You may see a visit or two from Bingley the cat…Enjoy the transformation!

“Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.” –Isaiah 43:18-19

Nancy Drew: The Phantom of Venice Flower Dome (Speed Art)
• This project was created using the following items:
• Flowers and Plastic Globe
• Acrylic Paints (Liquitex, Winsor and Newton, and Grumbacher)
• Glue Gun(Hi-Temp)
• Artist Loft Brushes
• Green Foliage
The Steps:
•I first removed the flowers from the stems and cut/glue the separate flowers into the shapes that I wanted to replicate. (If you decide to do this, measure the flowers/and or objects so that they will fit inside the dome).
•After it was completely dry, I primed the flowers, the leaves, and the Dome Base with thick acrylic paint(Green Winsor and Newton paint). When the green paint(which I used as a primer) was dry, I continued to paint the flowers Red and the Dome Base White.
• At this point, I cut the stems/leaves and glued them securely to the base with the glue gun.
•The last part was to add the flowers to the stems, then turn the Dome Base upside down to let gravity ‘slide’ the flowers easily into the Plastic Dome.
It took me about three days to complete this project.

Nancy Drew: The Final Scene Puzzle Box (Speed Art)
• This project was created using the following items:
• Wooden Box
• Acrylic Paints (Liquitex, Winsor and Newton, and Grumbacher)
• Artist Loft Brushes
• Kingart Inkline Pen
• Graphite Pencil (Or any regular pencil will work)
• Clear Fixative (I added one layer of clear gloss nail polish after the fixative was dry to give it a thick finish).
I did not film every step of the process, but I added each step as to how I completed each step below:
The Steps:
• I primed the surface with thick acrylic paint(White Newton paint). When the primer was dry, I began to sketch in the objects.
• After the sketch was complete, I continued to paint the top with varied colors.
• At this point, I used a Pale Green Winsor Paint to ‘frame’ the sides. The smaller areas I used Watercolor Pencils with water to give the small areas a little more vibrant color.
•Creating the texture on the sides was achieved by applying a light brown mixture to the sides then layering it with a dark brown umber with a hard bristled brush.(If you try this at home, be sure that the first layer is completely dry before adding more layers).
• The brushes I had were not small enough, so I dipped the end of my pencil into the White Newton paint to get the small areas for her necklace.
• The image is supposed to look similar to the puzzle box, so I added the lines with pencil first, then layered it with black Kingart Inkline Pen.
•The last part was to add the clear fixative and set it to dry.
It took me about three weeks to complete this project due to the amount of detail. If you decide to take this on as a project, remember to give yourself time and patience with each step.
I decided to alter this project and create the life of Hadassah (Esther). Her selfless action determined the fate of all Jews in the kingdom, ultimately saving her people from death and bringing peace to the kingdom. “I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish.”-Esther 4:16

Nancy Drew: Tomb of the Lost Queen Cat Sculpture (Speed Art)
• This sculpture project was created using the following items:
• Gray Modeling Clay
• Acrylic Paints (Liquitex, Winsor and Newton, and Grumbacher)
• Artist Loft Brushes
• Black Charcoal Pencil (Any brand of charcoal pencil should work for this project)
• Clear Fixative Spray
The Steps:
•I first removed the clay from the package and formed it into the shapes that I wanted to replicate.
•After it was molded and placed together and was completely dry, I primed the surface with thick acrylic paint(Green Winsor and Newton paint). When the Green Winsor paint(which I used as a primer) was dry, I continued to paint the sculpture varied tones/tints of green.
• At this point, I used a Black Charcoal Pencil with water to give the cat a little more visual texture. The bottom was flat, so I took the top cap of one of my acrylic paint containers and rolled it intermittently around the base edges to give the base texture too.
•The last part was to add the clear fixative and set it to dry.
It took me about three days to complete this project.
