Ekklesia In Action

John will be joined by Danny Candella for this week's Ekklesia in Action. Danny has put his faith into action as he reaches out to the homeless in Minneapolis. He will share what he is currently doing and what he believes the next steps are in this ministry. He began with simple steps of faith and God is honoring that with a fruitful adventure for Danny. This will inspire us to take those first steps of faith in the call we are hearing from God.

What does it take to heal the land and then to hold the land for the Kingdom of God?

A number of things need to be determined before beginning to build a wall. Wisdom says one should count the cost, and that can only be done by determining what the wall is to be made of and what it is to look like when finished. There is always a cost and rarely can it all be accounted for in advance.

Gates are entrance points to the city, for both good and evil. In biblical times, the leaders of a city sat in the gates and performed a variety of functions. They heard cases of dispute and made rulings. They were the ekklesia of the city. We are to control the gates.

Do you believe you can change the atmosphere in a room or among a group because of the presence of God that you carry within you? How about the atmosphere of a city? Can the Ekklesia make a positive change of the atmosphere of a city or region?

In the simplest terms, our authority and power come from Christ Jesus to do whatever He calls upon us to do for Him. He passes that authority and power onto His disciples, the Body of Christ.

City Evaluation (or whatever the region, state, etc.) is necessary to know what has happened, what is happening, and as much as possible, what will be happening, within the city or region. So, we have the history, the present, and the future to consider for the establishment of a city within the Kingdom of God.

There are parallels all through the Book of Nehemiah for the establishment of a city for the Kingdom of God. The king did send Nehemiah to Judah as his heart desired. The king also gave letters of safe passage for Nehemiah to travel freely and arrive safely at his destination. The king also provided the materials required for the job.

Servant Leaders Wanted - Are you ready to be a servant? Who should or should not participate in these sorts of ministries? This is a topic worth considering on various levels. Concerning participants, they should be those who are called to participate by Almighty God.

The work we do for the Kingdom needs to align with God's timing, God's idea, God's will, and God's promise. Worship is the means of establishing a deeper relationship with God. Worship truly prepares the way.
