Jim Chaps Vidcast Jan. 2024
Jim marvels at the amazing display of patriotism in Anthem, Arizona. "The thoughtful, grateful, innovative engineering and design of this memorial are brilliant. I think that everyone who honors the United States and the sacrifice of our nation and all branches of military will be so grateful that this memorial is here in Anthem." Anthem official link:

About Jim: Jim has memorized the essential verses of The Star-Spangled Banner and is one of music's most-informed artists / songwriters on the topic. An accomplished guitarist and songwriter, in 2005 Jim arranged an "acoustic" version national anthem. "Acoustic National Anthem" was performed live at a major league baseball game between the Detroit Tigers and Cincinnati Reds in 2005. The lyrics, most commonly belted loudly in performance, and just the first verse, are heard in a different way. "I worked to keep the song true to the melody so they arrive to listeners in a familiar, but new thought-provoking way. I believe that there are many great ways to arrange the song." The original "Acoustic National Anthem" appeared initially on the Jim Chaps "Second" CD, and is included in this video. "Many people assert that The Star-Spangled Banner is a question. I say that only the first verse is a question; it is answered by the remaining verses." In 2012 Jim released "Acoustic National Anthem Four-Verses" then discovered a year later something stunning: a then-well-hidden "Concluded" verse was written in the 1860's. "The 'Concluded' verse is essential and should be, I believe will become an official verse of the song." Written at the outset of the United States Civil War, "Concluded" uses the same melody and rhyme pattern as the verses written by F.S. Key. Jim recorded the "Concluded" verse and it is also included in this video. Jim Chaps music is gallantly streaming on quality radio services worldwide.
