It is crucial to be aware of scammers who target individuals claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). These fraudsters often contact vulnerable individuals through phone or email, pretending to be from the IRS or a government agency. They offer assistance with filing taxes and claiming the EITC, but their true intention is to obtain personal details, such as Social Security or bank account numbers. This is a serious issue that should not be taken lightly.

Natural disasters can be devastating; unfortunately, some people will try to take advantage of people in need. Scammers often pose as government officials, relief organizations, or even disaster victims. They may ask for money, personal information, or even donations of goods.
Here are some tips to help you protect yourself from natural disaster scams:
Be suspicious of any unsolicited calls, emails, or text messages. If you receive a letter from someone claiming to be from a government agency or relief organization, hang up or delete the message. Do not click on any links or provide any personal information.
Only donate to legitimate organizations. If you want to contribute to a relief organization, research to ensure it is legitimate. You can verify the organization's status with the Better Business Bureau or Charity Navigator.
Be careful what information you share online. Scammers may try to steal your personal information, such as your Social Security number or bank account number. Do not share this information with anyone you do not trust.
Following these tips can help protect yourself from natural disaster scams.

The Dark Secret Behind the Rise of Rock and Roll! pt9
Alan Freed was a radio DJ who is often credited with coining the term "rock and roll." He was a firm believer in the genre and its potential to be the music of the future. However, his association with payola plagued him throughout his career. Payola is the practice of paying DJs to play certain songs on the radio. Although many DJs of the time were involved in payola, Freed was a particular target of the establishment due to his support and advocacy of black music and the influence it had on the rising teenage population. This ultimately led to his downfall. He was indicted on charges of commercial bribery and dismissed from his job at WABC. He eventually moved to California, where he died in 1965 at the age of 43.
Freed's legacy is complex. He was a pioneer of rock and roll, but he was also tarnished by his association with payola. However, his contributions to the genre cannot be denied. He helped to popularize black music and make it accessible to a wider audience. He also helped to create a new sound that would come to define a generation.
Freed's story is a reminder that even the most successful people are not immune to scandal. However, his legacy is also a testament to the power of music to change the world.

Millionaire Contractors: Who Profited from the War in Afghanistan.
The exorbitant cost of the war in Afghanistan is explored, with over 2.2 trillion dollars being spent by the United States alone and over 2 trillion going to private contractors. The corruption and misuse of funds are highlighted as the number of Afghans living in poverty has doubled since 2001, and many officials have been caught pocketing aid and money. The possibility of private military contractors replacing troops is discussed, and the role of mercenaries in the war effort is examined. The article also touches on the issue of poppy palaces, which refers to Kabul houses owned by Afghan officials or those with connections to officials that they should not legally be able to afford.
The video reveals drug money-funded luxury real estate in Dubai, purchased by Afghan politicians and businessmen. Despite being illegal, drug trafficking is openly acknowledged and reportedly involves high-ranking officials. Additionally, the poor state of the economy, with a decrease in tax and customs earnings, is threatening the nation. Half of Afghanistan's national income is derived from the illegal opium trade, with many economic transactions also being carried out in cash due to illegality. The American troops' focus is to defeat terrorists and not interfere with the drug trade as it merely moves from farmer to farmer if pulled out.

When Wealth Creates A Political Movement With Organized Crime Money Pt9
In this video, we learn about Reverend Sun Myung Moon, a wealthy religious figure who established a political movement with organized crime money. Moon had a substantial business empire for his church with a portfolio that includes The Washington Times, a hotel in New York, and businesses in both North and South Korea. While Moon's followers worked for him without question, some Americans were suspicious of his political activities and questioned if they were in the interest of America. His contacts were seen as far to the right, and some of them had organized crime links. Moon was even sent to prison for 13 months on charges of conspiracy and filing false tax returns.
00:05:00 In this section, it is revealed that the Moon organization had violated various US laws, including tax and foreign agents registration acts, and had been paid by the Korean CIA to run propaganda efforts. Michael Hirschman, the Fraser Committee's Chief investigator, concluded that the organization's primary interest in the US was political rather than religious. The Fraser committee recommended that a task force be created to continue investigating these political activities, but it never happened. Instead, Moon became a major funder of Washington's new conservative establishment, and his Washington Times newspaper was often breaching editorial independence. However, the worst treatment America could give him would be to ignore him, as he vowed to preach the truth.
