Vilma the little Finnish cat receives mail. And we have her reaction on video! On another note. This is the first video I've edited with Davinci Resolve. There should be a noticeable upgrade on the video color quality. I don't really know why that is, but it definitely makes the change worth it. I'll likely purchase the pro version to unlock a few things. It's rather cheap. Do you see any difference in the video quality? Vilma is usually rather smart about her food thievery. Normally she waits around and pretends to sleep, and only makes her move when we leave the room. But sometimes the food is just too good and she simply doesn't have the patience! Does your cat sometimes crawl under a carpet, too? Does it hunt, observe or take a nap while under there? With Vilma we just never know :) I really like this video. It has a simple idea where we get to enjoy Vilma's antics and behaviors. A throwback to videos that we made about a year ago with a slightly improved editing. PS: My new computer has been assembled and installed. It's great to see that Shotcut apt package actually works with this new setup. I'm expecting that this will make editing more stable. I still have to migrate all the data, finalize configurations, install a few more drives, buy another 2HDDx8tb and 1SSDx4tb of storage, create and configure a sane backup schedule, install and configure LBRY server and update Debian running Nextcloud... yeah, it's going to take some time but progress has been made :p --- Kömpiikö kissanne ajoittain maton alle ja mitä se tekee siellä? Vilma's Halloween 2023 surprise! We have never carved a pumpkin before, so this was also Vilma's first time seeing one in a jack'lantern form. Spooky, scary... PS: LBRY client was having some issues with SPV servers and we really wanted to release this before Halloween. Thus, this is now our first release directly through Odysee. Instead of doing planned setups, we have a rare chance to catch Vilma flipping out by pure luck. We bought a new feather toy (like we often do) but this time Vilma reacted strongly to it. Turns out Vilma really loves sunbathing. Usually she prefers quiet and soft places but in the countryside she prefers spots with the most sunlight. When the sun changes directions, Vilma changes her resting place. Only food, playtime and scratch time get her to pause this new hobby. Praise the sun \o/ We are temporarily returning to our old house until we get some renovations done. Expect more videos from our old house. By the way, can you tell where the inspiration for the beginning intro came from? ;) PS: We finally connected Stripe to our Odysee account. This means that non-crypto donations should be possible (I haven't tested it out yet). I could create Odysee memberships but that feature in not available in Finland yet. And now something completely different. My mother bought me a shirt from Thailand - and it was marvelous. I instantly knew that such a beauty could only be worn on special occasions. What special occasions? That would be cabin trips! Today we are celebrating Vilma's first fiat monetary compensation! Remember that intro video we made for minds.com challenge? Second episode for the critically acclaimed masterpiece Vilma Cat Moves To The Countryside! Sometimes you just get lucky. We went for a vacation for a week. We could not leave Vilma alone during this time, but luckily we found a senior couple (thanks mom!) who wanted to take care of Vilma. We got daily updates of Vilma's vacation during this time. After the vacation was over, we decided to create a blog post out of the material. Originally we indented to create a multi-image post but we then realized that this was not supported without having an external image host (lbry client). No worries, we just had to create a video out of all the material :) edit. Realized that we could have released the blog through Odysee. That would have supported multi-image blog posts. Duck mayhem is over and it's time to get back to Vilma :) Vilma is now 12 years old. She's officially a senior cat. Vilma is still the same sweetheart as when we got her but there are some clear changes. The color of her eyes has changed from amber to yellow/green, her fur has grown some white patches and started to look brown in some lighting. But the biggest changes have been her facial expressions and the fact that she now has a BALD spot. It's really hard not to see this spot when Vilma walks by :D After Vilma got some teeth removed for the first time, she developed a new groove to control her drooling: https://odysee.com/@VilmaTheKitty:3/vilmasnewgroove:7 Now that Vilma had more teeth removed, her facial expressions have changed even more. --- Sorsakausi on ohi ja aika palata Vilmaan :) Vilma on nyt 12-vuotias seniori-kissa. Vilman silmien väri on muuttunut oranssista vihreän ja keltaisen sekoitukseksi, turkkiin on tullut valkoisia raitoja ja oikeanlaisessa valaistuksessa se näyttää jopa ruskealta. Suurimmat muutokset ovat kuitenkin Vilman uudet ilmeet ja KALJU läiskä.
