It's time for ducks, ducks and more ducks! There's something relaxing about their mayhem. Like waves hitting the shore... Our city allows duck feeding during the winter when their food supply gets low. Happy to report that the ducks have a constant flow of feeders and there are actually quite a lot of them this year. We wanted to try if Vilma likes liquid cat snacks. Turns out she loves them! Here's some cuteness to prove it. We also remembered that we have a new camera laying around. Today we are documenting Vilma's typical reaction to her new favorite snack. We dangled the snack above Vilma, completely disregarding our own safety in the process. It's the annual Christmas tradition of "I wonder how an elf's hat would look on my cat?". Every cat owner has done this at some point because the end result looks so cute. Often the cat is either unfazed or mildly annoyed but this year it was a bit different. Vilma sometimes refuses to play with a toy unless it's hidden under a cloth or a carpet. Her interest clearly changes once the toy is hidden properly. Vilma stole my wool sock <3 Vilma has this almost dog like reaction to us returning home. She becomes wild and wrecks havoc until all that extra energy is spent. Vilma solving level 3 puzzle for the very first time! I'm glad to report that our smart feline fought valiantly and solved multiple parts - before ragequitting. The puzzle is called Rainy Day Puzzle And Play and it's made by Nina Ottosson. While the puzzle is good and pretty similar to Melon, the parts get stuck more easily and feel flimsy. The middle roller part is a little too stiff for a small cat to move effectively. We had another excellent Midsummer day celebration in Finland. The greatest thing was that we got to spend it with Noki and Oliver. Everybody expects cats to react to things like tv and mirrors. It happens, yeah, but in reality it's pretty rare. Kittens might do that once of twice but that's it. Luckily there are exceptions. We were watching some LBRY/Odysee cat content and noticed that Vilma would not stop staring at a certain bengal cat (named Bedford). Vilma has reacted to cats on TV perhaps few times in her lifetime. This was a rare moment - and we got it on video!
