Don't waste time cooking and prepping, impress your guests with these scrumptious sausage rolls instead!
They can be frozen, so all you have to do is pop them in the oven when you're ready to serve. Plus, they're absolutely delicious!
How to Make: Ham and Cheese Sausage Rolls
Ingredients:
500g beef mince
500g pork mince
Half a carrot, finely chopped
Several small shallots (or onion works too), finely chopped
Several small mushrooms, finely chopped
Cheese, grated
1 egg, beaten
1 package of store-bought puff pastry
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 200-220°C
In a large bowl, mix together the beef and pork mince, chopped carrot, shallots, mushrooms, cheese, egg, and salt and pepper.
Roll out the puff pastry and spread the meat mixture onto the center, forming it into a compact log.
Roll up the pastry, ensuring to tightly pack the ends, and slice it into individual sausage rolls.
Place the sausage rolls on a baking sheet, leaving enough space for them to expand.
Cook in the oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Keep in mind that if you cut them into larger pieces, you may need to reduce the temperature to 180 or 190 and cook for an additional 10-15 minutes.

How to Make: Caramelized Onions (Traditional Recipe)
Delicious caramelized onions go well with burgers, steak, sandwiches, pasta, anything you can think of really!
INGREDIENTS:
3 big onions (or as many as you wish)
1 tsp sugar for every 3 big onions (brown is better, white works)
Salt
Any vinegar (I used rice wine vinegar as it is gluten free)
METHOD:
Slice your onions into thin slivers
Throw them into a cold pan and set to medium heat
Add the sugar at any point hereon
Once the color on the bottom of the pan thickens, add a tiny splash of water
Stir every 10 minutes until the colour is a beautiful brown. If the pan starts to colour too much, add a tiny bit more water.
When at desired colour, add about a tablespoon of vinegar, stir, and let it mostly cook away.
Enjoy with something meaty!
