Fiber Processing From Sisal Agave - Production of rope from fibers at the factory
#sisal
Sisal is a fibre crop that grows in the tropics. The main countries of production are Brazil, Kenya and Tanzania.
The same plants are grown for many years and the leaves are typically harvested (cut by hand) when they reach around 1m long. The green outer of the leaf is removed by a process known as decortication (and is used as animal feed) leaving metre long strands of super-strong natural sisal fibre.
The sisal plants are grown organically and absorb large quantities of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere all year round. They also have a very low water requirement and survive droughts that kill other crops. For this reason farmers are being encouraged to grow them as a way to cope with climate change. The fact that the sisal leaves can be harvested at any time of year is also good for the farmers’ cash flow.

Buddha's Hand Fruit Harvesting and Why Buddha's Hand Citron Is So Expensive
#noalharvesting #noalfarm #noalprocessing
Have you recently strolled down your grocery store's produce aisle and spotted a beautifully bizarre fruit that beckons with long, yellow fingers? This is the Buddha's hand citron, a distinctive citrus that doesn't have the juicy flesh we usually associate with this category of fruit.
These fruits are also known as finger citrus—not to be confused with finger lime—and finger citron. In East Asia, Buddha's hand citrons are associated with bestowing luck upon the home they perfume, and for cooks and mixologists, they offer a refreshingly optimistic scent that infuses liquors, syrups, and teas dramatically.
Buddha's hand is a variety of citron; its full botanical name is Citrus medica var. sarcodactylis, the varietal derived from the Greek sarkos and dactylos meaning "fleshy finger." Those fingers, numbering from about five to 20-plus, are carpels separated into fleshless segments. Sometimes, they are held close together or closed, like a praying hand; other times, they are arranged loosely (picture a squid in jet-propulsion mode) or splayed apart, like a relaxed and corpulent octopus.
Like most other citrus, Buddha's hand is native to Asia. It is thought to have originated in India, before traveling west and east. Citrons are the oldest citrus fruits in cultivation, possibly on account of their very thick skin, which helped them travel well.

PICKLE Making Process from Cabbage in Factory - Cabbage, Olive, Bell Pepper Harvest & Process Pickle
#Cabbage #pickle
Sauerkraut is finely cut raw cabbage that has been fermented by various lactic acid bacteria. It has a long shelf life and a distinctive sour flavor, both of which result from the lactic acid formed when the bacteria ferment the sugars in the cabbage leaves.
Although it is considered a national dish in Germany and is known under its German name in English-speaking countries, it did not originate in Germany and is also a traditional and ubiquitous dish in Central and Eastern Europe.

CHEESE Making Process From Buffalo Milk in Factory - Buffalo Farming and Harvesting Milk 🧀
#BuffaloMilk #Buffalo #cheese
World milk production derives from cows, buffaloes, goats, sheep, and camels, with buffalo milk being the second most consumed type after cow’s milk.Just like cow’s milk, buffalo milk has a high nutritional value and is used to produce dairy products like butter, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream.
Though there are many varieties of buffaloes, the water buffalo contributes the most to the world’s milk production. Water buffaloes are divided into the river and swamp types. The river buffalo accounts for the majority of the milk production, while the swamp buffalo is mainly used as a draught animal.
India and Pakistan produce about 80% of all buffalo milk worldwide, followed by China, Egypt, and Nepal, where you find more dairy buffaloes than cows . You also find dairy buffaloes in the Mediterranean, specifically in Italy, where their milk is mainly used to make cheese . Buffalo milk has a high protein and fat content, which gives it a rich and creamy texture perfect for producing butter, cream, and yogurt .

How To Grow 69 Millions Of Cucumbers In Greenhouse And Harvest - Modern Agriculture Technology
#noalfarm #cucumbers #Cucumbergreenhouse
CUCUMBERS UNDER GLASS IN THE NETHERLANDS
In the Netherlands, the surface area dedicated to cucumber cultivation is more than 600 hectares. In most cases, the cultivation method used in greenhouses is the more modern “high-wire method”.
High-wire cultivation
Continuous quality production is one of the main advantages of the high-wire system. With this tying system, the crop is trained in the same way as are tomato plants: by using twine hooked to a high wire at 4 to 5 metres above the ground. When the plant grows and reaches the highest point, the twine is lowered, allowing the plant to continue to grow. Using this method, growers do not need to crop 3 or 4 times a year; twice is enough.
In the Netherlands, 2 crops a year are grown using this method. The first is planted at the beginning of the year, and the second at the start of the summer. Labour costs are slightly higher with this method, but the quality of the cucumbers is much better.

How Millions Of Crickets Are Raised and Harvested in Farm - Edible Insects Farm Industry
#noalfarm #cricket
Crickets Farming. While insect consumption is somewhat of a novelty in the west, it has actually been a part of human cuisine for a long time, especially in Africa, Asia, and Northern America. And in Thailand specifically, insect consumption still plays a major part in everyday nutrition.
In the past insects were considered food for the poor, however, in the past decades, that notion has become outdated, and insects have become an affordable, nutritious and variable meal or snack.
A lot of insects are simply gathered from the wild, such as grasshoppers, bamboo caterpillars, silkworms, water scavenger beetles and others. While a few insects are properly reared in facilities, most common are crickets and palm weevil larvae. With crickets being more widespread in the north, and weevils in the south.

How to Produce Millions of Olive Soap Bar in Traditional Soap Factory - Olive Harvest and Processing
#noalfarm #OliveSoap
The soap-making process takes nine months and begins with the harvest of local olives and bay laurel berries in the late fall. The cold-pressed olive oil, water and lye are heated in a large cauldron for several days. The bay laurel oil is added at the end of the heating process, and the mixture is then poured into large frames on the ground. After the mixture hardens, the soap is cut with wooden rakes and stamped with the artisan's name. Each bar is then stacked and aged from 6 months to a year. The result is an all-natural bar of one of the best soaps in the world!
When you find something that works, why change it? We imagine that is why Syrian olive oil soaps are made today just as they were centuries ago. And that is why we have offered traditional Syrian olive oil soaps since we opened our doors more than 13 years ago. It is as soap should be - simple, gentle, nourishing and natural.

How to Raise Millions of Atlantic Salmon on Sea Farm - Salmon Processing in Fish Factory
#noalfarm #AtlanticSalmon #Salmonfarm
Atlantic salmon farming has traditionally been dominated by a small number of farming regions – Chile, Norway, Canada, and Scotland – as several natural conditions often have to be present to ensure optimal salmon farming production. Such conditions include: cold water temperatures varying between 8°C and 14°C.
The salmon farming production cycle lasts about 3 years. The first year of production takes place in controlled freshwater environments, and then the farmed salmon are transported to seawater cages. Once the farmed salmon reach a harvestable size, they are transported to processing plants to be prepared for sale. For consumers, most farmed salmon is sold as salmon fillets, although you can also purchase whole fish.

How Civet make World Most Expensive Coffee - Civet Coffee Farming - Coffee Harvest and Processing
Kopi luwak is a coffee that consists of partially digested coffee cherries, which have been eaten and defecated by the Asian palm civet . It is also called civet coffee. The cherries are fermented as they pass through a civet's intestines, and after being defecated with other fecal matter, they are collected. Producers of the coffee beans argue that the process may improve coffee through two mechanisms: selection – civets choosing to eat only certain cherries, and digestion – biological or chemical mechanisms in the animals' digestive tracts altering the composition of the coffee cherries.
The traditional method of collecting feces from wild Asian palm civets has given way to an intensive farming method, in which the palm civets are kept in battery cages and are force-fed the cherries. This method of production has raised ethical concerns about the treatment of civets and the conditions they are made to live in, which include isolation, poor diet, small cages, and a high mortality rate.

Wheat Harvesting and How to Produces 100 Million Pounds of Flour per Year - Baked Bread Factory
Wheat flour is a powder made from the grinding of wheat used for human consumption. Wheat varieties are called "soft" or "weak" if gluten content is low, and are called "hard" or "strong" if they have high gluten content. Hard flour, or bread flour, is high in gluten, with 12% to 14% gluten content, and its dough has elastic toughness that holds its shape well once baked. Soft flour is comparatively low in gluten and thus results in a loaf with a finer, crumbly texture. Soft flour is usually divided into cake flour, which is the lowest in gluten, and pastry flour, which has slightly more gluten than cake flour.
