We have a young couple that comes here every week to help us with the heavy lifting and cleaning and all sorts of things; there isn't much they can't do from felling dead trees and cutting them into firewood to hanging Pete's antennas to moving things or organizing everything from cupboards to sheds, besides the basics. They are an enormous help to us in so many ways...anyway today they gave Myrtle a thorough cleaning, and this is the walk-through Pete and I did after they left.

Today is the day we finally bought our new-to-us RV! We've lived in motorhomes for over 7 years but needed something bigger and with more storage and a better layout to replace our current tired and worn out abode. After a year of searching, we were finally blessed with THIS!

Today I had a doctor's appt., we went out to eat, and I share a few things that are going on in my life.

Went to a Veterans' Day program at our granddaughter's school, followed by shopping and errands

First - I didn't even notice the cable draped across the near end of the keyboard until I was editing. Second, as I am learning this new-to-me amazing instrument I will share some of the things I am doing with it. These are not performances (don't expect perfection!) but rather just showing what it can do.

Also lots of MFT (my face talkin'), catching up on stuff

Found a great restaurant near one of Pete's doctors (Saginaw, MI) AND an Ollie's right in the same area that we never knew was there!

Since I was sick I haven't had enough sunshine so today it was great to get out and sit in the yard with my service dog Maisie and enjoy the sun, the colors, and the fresh air!

This includes hauls from Goodwill in Saginaw, MI (Oct 7, 2022) and from St. Vincent dePaul in West Branch, MI (Oct 10, 2022)

On a trip to West Branch (Oct. 10) from about 60 miles away we got some photos and video of the gorgeous colors...along with a surprise along the way!

We have a lot of turkeys around here but 14 regulars that hang out in the yard for larger parts of the day. Sometimes 10 of them come in a group - sometimes 4 come together - and sometimes all 14 come at once. Today the 10 were here, I was sitting inside watching them, and saw the toms start to gather so I grabbed my phone to record. Apparently they were miffed at the other 4 for being late to the party, and received them with a less than happy welcome. But all was well in the end! 👍🦃🦃🦃🦃

As I'm getting to know my new-to-me Tyros5-76 I will share the occasional video. It took a while, but I finally figured out how everything worked; now I just need to get used to reaching for settings and buttons as I play, they aren't where I think they should be yet, so when I'm a few measures away from a button-push I start to get a little scrambled which causes me to lose focus on my playing...and it takes a few more measures afterward to unscramble! But I'm learning, and by sharing these maybe other people who are learning new things - keyboard-related or not - will be emboldened and encouraged. This is a Dottie Rambo song called The Holy Hills of Heaven Call Me Home. (I love Dottie's songs, she was truly blessed with great talent!)

Saturday day in the life; Sunday took a trip down to our lower lot to record the river for my vlog

Wasn't able to lay everything out to show it today so I did the next best thing...

Had our usual Friday fish dinner at a different restaurant, then went to Good Will and found some great stuff! Cameo appearance by my service dog Maisie.

This morning we went to one of our favorite local Amish stores for some groceries and got some fantastic bargains! Then we stopped at one of the dozens of Amish roadside stands around here (Clare County, MI) for some more produce.
