These engaging primary source activities will teach your students about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Students will not only learn about the Russia-Ukraine War, but they will understand the origins of Russia and Ukraine, and they understand the perspectives of Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky. It's a great resource for improving historical thinking skills!
This activity includes three pages of background information on the origins of Russia and Ukraine. This background information will explore the relations of this two countries so students can better understand the complex history.
After the background information, there is a speech from Vladimir Putin announcing the invasion of Ukraine and a speech from Volodymyr Zelensky to the U.S. Congress.
Then there are small excerpts of quotes from Russian and Ukrainians. These quotes are designed for students to see the conflict from different perspectives.
This activity is relevant to geopolitical events in the 21st century.

Learn and teach about the history of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ according to the Bible. This lesson works great for social studies and Christian Sunday school teachers during the Easter season anytime from Ash Wednesday up to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
Students will learn about the life of Jesus, his triumphant arrival in Jerusalem, the cleansing of the temple, the Last Supper, the trial of Jesus (Sanhedrin and by the Roman governor Pontius Pilate), the crucifixion, and resurrection. This part is all according to the Bible. There is one page that talks about the historicity of Jesus and crucifixions by Romans.
Then students will be introduced to the history of Easter eggs, Easter bunnies, and other modern traditions for Christians during the Easter season.
