We'll talk about how to protect these monarchs, how to feed them, and finally how to release the monarch butterflies. You'll get to see the full life cycle of the monarch butterfly, including watching the caterpillar form a chrysalis and watching the adult butterfly emerge (or eclose) from the chrysalis. This is a great science lesson for kids, and an especially great option for homeschool science or nature schooling. My kids always enjoy watching the caterpillars grow and change.
