Man threats to kill Rep Pramila Jayapal Home Video
#crime #realcrimecams #pramilajayapal
Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only. SEATTLE WASHINGTON — A 49-year-old Seattle man arrested earlier this month on suspicion of committing a hate crime against U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal and threatening to kill her has been charged with felony stalking.
The King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said Brett Forsell was charged Wednesday after additional evidence was gathered by police investigators.
Forsell was arrested July 9 after yelling obscenities and threats outside Jayapal’s Seattle home late at night and booked into jail. He was released when prosecutors said there wasn’t enough evidence for a hate crime charge, though authorities noted the investigation would continue.
Police later forwarded the stalking case for consideration, prosecutors said.
In 2016, Jayapal became the first Indian American woman elected to the U.S. House of Representatives. The Democrat heads the Congressional Progressive Caucus.
As part of the felony stalking charge, prosecutors note Forsell was armed with a deadly weapon and that Jayapal was stalked in connection with her elected position.
Seattle police arrested Forsell outside Jayapal’s house in the Arbor Heights neighborhood at 11:25 p.m. on July 9 after she called 911 and reported an unknown person or people were near her home using obscene language and mentioning her name, probable cause documents said. She told a dispatcher her husband thought someone may have fired a pellet gun, the statement said.
Officers found Forsell standing in the the street with his hands in the air and a handgun holstered on his waist, the probable cause statement said.
Forsell told police he drove by Jayapal’s house yelling obscenities multiple times since late June and on July 9 drove by, stopped, got out of the car and directed profanities at Jayapal, according to the probable cause statement.
He left after encountering her husband and then returned a short time later, knowing they were home, and was seen by neighbors and Jayapal’s husband appearing to approach the house while yelling at Jayapal, documents said. A neighbor told police she heard a man threaten to kill Jayapal and believed the statements were made by the man arrested that night.
Police learned the man sent an email to Jayapal’s public account in January, saying he didn’t like her, documents said.
A temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order to require Forsell to surrender his firearms and concealed pistol license, citing concerns about escalating behavior toward Jayapal and increasing mental health struggles, remains in place.
Prosecutors said a judge approved a bail amount of $500,000. It didn’t appear that Forsell had been booked into jail as of Wednesday evening. The Associated Press was unable to locate Forsell for comment and it was not known if he had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
Jayapal said in a statement that the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s office charging Forsell with felony stalking demonstrates that the justice system is doing its work.
“I am grateful to the King County Prosecutor’s Office for holding this man accountable for his dangerous actions, to the victim’s advocate for her assistance throughout the process, and to the Seattle Police Department, U.S. Capitol Police, and the House Sergeant at Arms for continuing to keep my family, me, and my staff safe,” Jayapal said.

Body cam Taser death of jail inmate Wade Welch by Pima County Jail corrections officer
#police #taser #jail #bodycam #crime #video #dead #fatality#tucson #arizona
Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only. www.RealCrimeCams.com
The Tucson Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation into the death of a man at the Pima County Adult Detention Center. Wade Welch, 37, died on August 16, a day after he was booked into the facility.
According to a release from the Pima Regional Critical Incident Team — a consortium or southern Arizona law enforcement agencies — the death occurred after corrections officers attempted to moved Welch from one housing unit to another.
"While moving him, he refused to enter his assigned cell," the release states. "Correction Officers attempted to restrain Welch physically."
Heavily edited body camera footage released from the jail shows officers taking Welch to the ground, handcuffing him and placing a spit hood over his head while repeatedly using a Taser on him.
Throughout the incident, Welch can be heard screaming for help, and saying "I can't breathe." Welch tells corrections officers he has a heart condition and asks to be taken to the hospital. He shouts "You're killing me!" as the officers use a stun gun on him again.
At least 10 officers are seen piling on Welch and surrounding him during the video. As the offers stand Welch up, he can be heard gasping for air.
The officers take Welch down a flight of stairs to a lower level of the jail, where they force him into a restraint chair.
The video provided by law enforcement then shows Welch screaming in pain as the officers use a stun gun on Welch again, while he was in the restraint chair. The video shows officers using a Taser in "drive-stun" mode, shoving it into his side while telling him to "relax" and to "breath."
Welch then appears to go limp and lose consciousness.
Corrections officers can be heard in the video reacting with expletives, shaking Welch's body, and begging him to "stay awake, man."
The officers then seem to panic and call for a medic. One officer directs the others to "get him out of the chair." Once they lay Welch on the ground and take off the spit hood, officers say "he's good, he's breathing" but Welch remains motionless.
An officer is then heard accusing Welch of faking his condition. "He's faking his a-- off," an officer says while Welch lied completely still on the ground.
"He's breathing, he's got a pulse, and he's reactive," an officer is heard saying, despite no signs of Welch's chest moving.

Las Vegas, Nevada A 19-year-old man killed in a shootout with Las Vegas police SWAT officers as they burst into an apartment was not the suspect in a murder investigation that prompted the raid, a department official said.
One officer was badly wounded, another received an arm wound and Isaiah Tyree Williams was killed in the pre-dawn shootout during the service of a search warrant Monday in southeast Las Vegas, Assistant Clark County Sheriff Andrew Walsh told reporters Thursday.
Walsh said the suspect sought in the homicide case wasn't in the apartment but was later found and arrested. He was not identified during the media briefing about the shooting.
Video from police body-worn cameras showed five SWAT officers, including three with rifles, firing a combined 23 shots toward Williams as he lay on a couch and fired 18 shots toward them with a .22-caliber handgun.
Officer Kerry Kubla, 50, a department officer since 2008, was shot in both arms and one leg and remained hospitalized facing a long recovery, Walsh told reporters.
The shooting was the second of three in a week involving Las Vegas police.
Officer Brice Clements was treated for an arm wound and released from a hospital, Walsh said. Kubla was the first of four officers met with gunfire after breaking through the door to enter the apartment, followed by Clements, Officer Alex Gonzales and Sgt. Russell Backman.
Officer James Rothenburg fired three shots with a handgun from outside a window of the first-floor apartment where Williams was later pronounced dead, Walsh said.
The Clark County coroner said Williams died from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

Raw bodycam dashcam video Austin police motorcycle chase-shooting-carjacking in Texas Brandon Munoz
#bodycam #body #cam #police #shooting #carjack #shoot #carjacking #shooter #shot #motorcycle #chase
realcrimecams.com
Austin, Texas — Body cam video of the August 8, 2022 shooting incident where both an Austin Police Officer and a Texas State trooper fired their duty weapons during an attempted carjacking on Cameron Road. Police Chief Joseph Chacon said the incident began around 11 p.m. that Monday night when an officer tried to pull a motorcycle over for a traffic stop due to a missing license plate.
Dashcam video from Officer Michael Bradburn’s vehicle showed the motorcycle drive toward the right of the road, then speed up toward a turnaround on U.S. 290 on the left side. The driver got off the motorcycle partway through the turn and started running away. Officer Bradburn chased him. A nearby trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety trooper heard the chase on the radio and turned into the parking lot soon after Bradburn ran across the road toward a shopping center.
Body cam video showed Officer Michael Bradburn chase the suspect, later identified as Brandon Munoz, into the parking lot and take cover behind cars as he moved toward the suspect. Both bodycam videos capture Officer Bradburn saying the suspect has a gun and telling him multiple times to drop it.
Surveillance footage from a nearby business shows the suspect pointing his gun toward where the officer was and maneuvering around a parked car before getting into the front passenger seat. Moments later, the car backs up. Police said in a release the suspect pointed a gun at the driver and told him to put the car into reverse and leave. Chacon said the trooper and the officer fired shots before it drove away. The body cam video showed officers yelling at the driver and directing him to get out and away from the car, and to “put it down,” in reference to a gun.
“The vehicle he tried to carjack, he took the weapon out,” Officer Bradburn says over his radio in the video. Another officer said he didn’t see a gun in the suspect’s hand, and the body camera video showed a gun on the ground outside the car where the driver placed it.
Bodycam video shows officers strategize and then get the suspect out of the car. Bradburn then disables the gun. An APD release said responders then began life-saving measures. Munoz was taken to the hospital with critical injuries and is stable as of August 22.
The driver was not hurt and neither were any law enforcement officers who responded.
Munoz faces an aggravated kidnapping charge.
