The Magpies made a quick return to the Webbswood Stadium following their midweek League defeat at the hands of Marine, but the script remained the same with the home side edging another slim victory against their impressive and well organised opposition.
Henry Spalding scored his first of the campaign in the first half which proved to be the difference on the day, as Supermarine progressed beyond the Second Round Qualifying stage for the first time in five years.

Supermarine picked up all three points against fellow high-flying Magpies at the Webbswood Stadium on Wednesday evening in an epic encounter.
Despite early possession from the visitors, Harry Williams proved too hot to handle as he broke the deadlock on five-minutes, before a fairly even opening forty-five, saw Shaquille Geengwe level the score shortly before the interval - giving the scoreline a fairer feel.
After the break however, Supermarine stepped up a gear and despite the Magpies taking the lead courtesy of Charlie Gunson following the referee opting to play the advantage following a close penalty call, it was Harry Williams who moments later tried a long range effort which tipped the crossbar.
Sustained pressure saw the home side awarded a penalty, but James Harding couldn't manage to squeeze the ball home but the setback was only temporary as he went on to score a brace to help Marine to another well deserved three points.

Marine found it tough going in the first 45-minutes at Silver Street as they opened their FA Cup account on a windy Saturday afternoon.
A superb counter-attack from their lower league hosts saw Lewis Hill open the scoring in a half which should have seen the Devon based side build on their lead.
Tough words at half time saw Marine come out a far better side and a stunner from Leon Morrison - his first for the club, leveled things and Marine can have no complaints at their hosts having another shot in an entertaining cup tie.

The scoring was opened on 15 minutes when the hosts Brandon Goodship converted from the spot - following a very dubious penalty decision, before adding to their tally two minutes after the break courtesy of an Antonio Diaz rocket which left boss Lee Spalding to bemoan his sides defending.
Marine did create chances, but it wasn't until the third minute of added time that Harry Williams reduced the score to 2-1, following a fantastic long range lob.

An own goal by Harry Taylor (31 minutes) was followed up by a hat-trick from Harry Williams (38, 42 and 44mins)
The visitors hit back after the break courtesy of Herson R-Alves after he netts from the pot on 72min and stunned the home side two-minutes later giving hope of a comeback - and but for some decent saves from Supermarine keeper Connor Johns, they may well have done.

Supermarine headed to the top of the standings with two wins from two, as they took on Hendon at the Webbswood Stadium on Saturday afternoon [13.08.22]
A brace each for Harry Williams [13min & 56min] and James Harding [34min & 67min from the penalty spot] rounded off a decent display in scorching 32dc heat.
* Some rather loud f-bombs have been dubbed out (the Hendon bench won 6-2!) and we apologise for the rather loud boiler flue interference in the post-match interview – increased the sound so as you can hear Lee and Charlie slightly better.

Supermarine played the first of two games in two days as they visited the newly promoted Mitres on Friday evening [15.07.22], looking to continue their fine preseason form.
Although the hosts got off to a great start, they were unable to convert their chances and Harry Williams put Lee Spaldings side ahead on 15 minutes.
The home side drew level on 32 minutes when Jordan Annear forced the ball in to the back of the net but after the break, Harry Williams bagged a second [55 minutes] while the referee failed to award a free kick to the visitors after Trialist B was brought down, and the home side took advantage and immediately went down the other end of the pitch and scored courtesy of Shayne Anson [68 minutes].
Just as it looked as if it would be honours shared, Conor McDonagh scored a scorcher of a goal from 20 yards out [84 minutes] and there was even time for him to see a penalty saved just before the final whistle.
Supermarine Man of the Match: Harry Williams.
