We finally got our Wiltshire Premier Shield Quarter Final tie against the White Horse Men played on a very cold Tuesday evening, and it was a case of "after the Lord Mayors show", following the weekends impressive display at Dorchester.
Marine produced a good display in possession, but ultimately lacked in the final third as their tenacious hosts saw their path to the semi-final granted courtesy of a dubious penalty decision.

Swindon Supermarine U15s Giants - top of the North Wilts Youth League Division 1, faced Chiseldon Youth White - second bottom of Division 4 at Kingsdown School on Sunday afternoon with both clubs looking to progress in the Fish Brothers Kia Sponsored Wilts FA U15s Minor Cup.
Although the scoreline was high, the Chiseldon players and coaches were an absolute credit to the game and we wish them well for the future.

Supermarine put up a brave effort in their opening game of the New Year but ultimately lacked penetration until the final ten-minutes in a closely fought competition at the Met Coaches Community Stadium on Bank Holiday Monday.
Leaving Wales without a point was perhaps a little harsh on the day, however the boys can be proud of their work rate and the fighting spirit against one of the leagues bigger clubs.

Purton made it eight from eight wins as they continued to head the standing of the Wiltshire County Womens & Girls League and having scored a massive 43 goals in their previous eight league and cup games, Marine did well to keep the score to a respectable level.
A strong, but defensive first half saw Marine enter the break one down, however despite near constant pressure, the hosts managed three quick goals as the game drew to a conclusion, with tired legs playing their part.

A first-half strike from Brad Hooper gave the home side an early lead after some pressure and the visitors leveled things with five minutes to go before the intermission courtesy of Aaron Minhas.
Both sides continued to have their chances in the second, but neither could make it count when needed and ultimately, the points were shared in a game that both side will have felt they could have won.
