Joseph Atman, Ph.D. in philosophy of religion, returns to the show to talk about the nature of God. He argues that any concept we have about God is, by necessity, flawed, but that this doesn't mean we should give up on trying to understand the divine. Pagans blamed the Fall of Rome on Christianity; somewhat, Rome was crumbling from within for centuries. The City of God juxtaposes the City of Man with God's Eternal Kingdom. Luther concretized the term "Man Curved in on himself" and "Homo incurvatus in se," imprinted with the Imago Dei - but worshipping the self.

The big questions in this arena are - what does it mean to "visit in their affliction," and what exactly does being "unspotted from the world" look like? Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this: To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
