2 Peter 3
2 Peter 3
God's Promise is not slack. But, beloved do not forget one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
The Day Of The Lord. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night , in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Be Steadfast. Therefore beloved, looking forward to these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and blameless. Join Pastor David as he concludes our study of Peter.

2 Peter 1
Peter is talking to the Faithful to remind them how important it is to continue to grow in the faith to avoid stumbling by distinguishing between the true Word and those of false teachers. We need to be fruitful and diligent adding to our faith, virtue, knowledge, self control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindliness and love. The trustworthy prophetic word is true and came from holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit, not by the will of man.

1 Peter 5
1 Peter 5
Peter tells the elders to oversee the flock willingly, eagerly and as an example to the flock.
Give it to God: Discouragement often occurs when people try to shoulder their own worries, cares, and fears. We are saying we don't trust God. We must cast all our cares on God and it requires a great amount of trust and humility.
Steadfast: As soon as a person becomes a Christian , Satan tries to make them ineffective through sin or through struggles with discouragement or suffering. Believers must sober and vigilant, resisting Satan by remaining "steadfast in the faith." We need not fear Satan because he is defeated. When we resist Satan, he will flee (James 4:7) We also resist Satan by wearing the armor that God provides (Eph. 6:10-20) and remembering we are not alone. Join Pastor David for a great in-depth look into 1 Peter 5.

1 Peter 3:1- 3: 22
1 Peter 3:1- 3: 22 Wives should be submissive to their husbands even if their husbands do not obey the word. Women should focus on developing the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit. While women certainly may dress up and wear make up, they should not be obsessed with their outward appearance. Their focus should be on Christ and developing character pleasing to God.
Husbands should dwell with their wives with understanding and Love and Honor their wives. If you honor your wife you will love, respect, encourage, and protect her. He will consider her needs, take her advice when he can, listen to her opinions and encourage her gifts.
We are all to be of one mind , having compassion, brotherly love, tenderhearted, courteous, not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing we were called to do this that you may inherit a blessing.
And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you do suffer for righteousness sake you are blessed.
Christ also suffered for sins the just for the unjust.
