In this video, we put up a 32 foot long span of gutters. We're amateurs so it took a while. We could easily do it in half the time now.

We're getting down to some smaller finishing projects. It won't be too long and we'll finish up the apartment. Then I'll start working outside on the property again prepping for the house build!

Time to trim out the shower and then work on the countertops. We cut the hole for the kitchen sink also.

In this video we use a biscuit jointer to glue all of the 1x4 pine boards together to make the shelves for the cabinets.

We use sheet metal left overs from the shop build for the shower walls. And then we get started building kitchen cabinets and shelves.

My in-laws had 6 trees they wanted down at their house. 3 Mamosa trees and two scraggly trees and a nectarine that just wasn't doing well. We did all 6 in about 3 hours.

Primer, then paint for the apartment.

This is the 3rd and final day working on the well house. Finished it up except for a couple little things.

Bring on the second day of our well house project. It's a simple pole barn style building built to match my shop.

In this video we dig the ditches for the shop water line and the house electric. Then we get it put in the ditch and covered up. I rented a mini excavator to dig and my skid steer to cover it up.

We all know there are only two genders. Now's the time to find out. Will we get the experience of raising one of each gender?

We're making progress and starting to run the water line and plumbing into the shop. We also put an exhaust fan into help circulate the air in the shop and finish doing some of the OSB sheathing on the walls and in the bathroom. I also do the insulation along the dividing wall of the apartment / garage.

We start building the dividing wall to separate the shop from the apartment and also put in 2 bedrooms.

Just like the title says, we continue putting up the wall insulation and OSB panels. Then we shift gears a little and frame up the bathroom

We finally finished the ceiling and now we're on to insulation and wall osb!

We're two osb sheets shy of finishing up the ceiling for the time being. We'll have to do the last truss span after we move out of the shop and into the house.

Took a day to get some tree work done at my brother's house.

In this video, we continue working on the OSB ceiling in the shop. We're officially done with half of the ceiling which would be the entire apartment side of the shop. Then, after a long day of my Dad digging, we were able to put the septic tank in the ground! It still needs risers and the lateral lines run but it's getting closer to ready! It's exciting watching things start to come together!

Hanging 54 sheets of osb on the ceiling prior to the walls getting done. We're getting there but slowly.

Making progress! Two sheets of ceiling osb are up and about 25% of the ceiling joists are up. Took a bit to get the first sheet squared up but now we're on a roll.

Time to start splitting some firewood so it's ready for the '23-'24 winter season!

Meter base and breaker box put up by my dad and father-in-law. While they did that, I worked on reinforcing the centers of every truss to make them stronger. We also have our first outlet ready to go for when the electric company hooks up the meter base permanently.

We built in 3 additional trusses into the shop to help support the weight of a ceiling that wasn't originally in the plans. I altered the plan along the way.

In this video, we continue with wall framing for the exterior walls. They're going on 16 inch centers between the posts. There's a couple double studs for directly where we're going to build a few additional trusses so that we can support the added weight of an OSB ceiling throughout the shop.
